What ever the case make him work for it, i dont mean be cold and play really hard to get, but for god sake make him work for it, make it a challenge.

When a guy tells a girl that "he just wants to be friends," then he usually means it, as most guys wouldn't even think about putting themselves in the "friendzone" on purpose if he really wanted to sleep with you.

My guess is that perhaps the one bed bedroom was cheaper or that's all he could get or some other thing reason.

Best to just go with the flow and see what happens. If he's being overly sexual and flirty with you then perhaps he's down to fuck, which in that case just proceed as normal.

Guys aren't as tricky to figure out, they either want to bang or they don't, there's no games... unless he's of course he's a PUA :)

There is no way to tell what someone's intentions are by what travel arrangement they made about getting one bed or two. There's too many variables. It could be he's trying to save money, or he thinks of you as like a sibling and doesn't mind sharing a bed. Or, he was lying when he said he just wants to be friends. The only thing you can go in is what YOU want to do, whether or not it's a shared feeling by him. I realize that women often don't know whether they want to have sex until AFTER they've already had sex, so that would be my advice for a guy. For a girl, I don't know. But if you know that you want him, it's just better to SAY that you want him, rather than trying to decipher his actions or trying to get him to say what HE wants. But straightforward honesty would be the thing to do, whether or not he can handle that.

Just throwing this out there: is this meetup at the Hostel something where it'll be just the two of you away from everyone else? If so, is there some possible reason he'd only be interested in sleeping with you if nobody else could find out about it? If you can think of a reason why he'd want any hooking up with you to be on the DL, then that could explain this "sudden change of heart." If you just want to fuck him once and move on, then maybe it doesn't matter; but if you were hoping for either a relationship or repeated hookups, you may want to factor this in.
