Start approaching strangers in the day time. Less pressure environment. Then, girls in the day time. Then girls at night.

You’re dealing with two fears here, not one. Approaching a stranger and approaching a hot girl and getting rejected. Two different things. Tackle them one at a time instead.

The thing with approach anxiety is that you'll have to keep working on it to calm your nerves. Doing warm-up approaches tends to help. I've noticed that most of the nervousness comes right as your about to approach her, where you either go up to her or let her pass by.
