Their ATTITUDE is the really the main issue. It is understandable that there are guys out there that didnt hit it big in the looks dept - fine, that cant be changed (to a degree). But self awareness and social skills CAN be learned. It isnt the lack of those things that makes those guys disgusting...it is the attitude that they are "entitled" to women and sex without bothering to learn those skills - and so when they dont get sex or get rejected, then it is everyone elses fault (aka - females)...but theirs!

Bad parenting that somehow gave them feelings of entitlement AND low self esteem. Along with a lack of self reflection and the inability to observe and learn from others.

They can change the way they think about appearance. And they can start by no longer identifying themselves as "incels" which is a notably toxic mindset.

I think they act entitled to women to seem cool and fit in with some group because they have such low self esteem and limiting beliefs they don’t feel like they deserve to be with women for whatever reasons. It reminds me of a guy in high school telling all his friends he got laid even though he didn’t because he wants to fit in with them.

Anybody can improve their social skills, confidence, lifestyle, and even to a degree their appearance if they put in the effort. The problem with incels is they don’t want to work for it and blame women and guys who get laid for their situation.

Yes it’s true that some guys will have an easier time than others, some guys just have better luck, and some guys have to work a little bit harder to get there. It’s just the way things are. But instead of doing the work to get in step with everyone else, incels would rather everybody would stop and pander to them

As other redditors noted, the incel phenomenon is mostly the result of bad attitudes. However, I will point out that some people out there really are being victimized. Just refrain from painting with a broad-brush. Some people are causing their own problems and, for whatever reason, won't be helped. But there are some people out there who are trapped.
