Conversations at parties/bars/etc. are often more about sharing emotions, not trying to actually have a logical conversation.

For example, when you're smoking weed with your friends and watching Sagan's Cosmos, you guys are probably gonna be talking about science n' shit. Chances are, you guys are going to have a logical discussion where there's a goal in the conversation. Maybe here, the goal is to articulately convey facts. If you're having a debate with friends, you guys are going to have a logical conversation where the goal is to convince your peers that your position is correct.

In parties and clubs, it's about embracing positive emotions and sharing them. This might be too abstract for a beginner, but the words you say don't really matter that much. What really matters is the vibe you put forth. When you're calm and having fun, trust me, the words come out easily. Maybe you need a bit of practice to get in the zone, but you don't really need a guide to answer conversations (but they are helpful tools). You have 20 years of life experience, you know more than you think.
