Clearly LJBFed and zero chance of hookup = you are a friend.

Friends you hope things will happen with = you are an orbiter.

Note that in both these cases, you will never hook up with these women.

An orbiter is someone who only has contact with a girl because he wants to fuck her, and he will often do lots of favours for the girl, to the extent that she just uses him for these favours.

Throwaway is right, but I think it's a bit more nuanced. The key is right here:

Constantly being at her beck and call for the off-chance that she'll be desperate and horny that night = orbiter.

If you guys are cool, enjoy each others company, but you wouldn't cancel a date or a poker night to chill with her = friend. Whether she knows you're attracted or not doesn't really matter if you keep your frame right.
