I've been watching a ton of daygame infield videos, and I've noticed that what mainly defines the success of an interaction is how much you can make the girl laugh. Of course, there's also the aspect of being super confident and self-assured, but to be honest that's pretty straightforward to pull off. I feel like just being a super confident guy having a normal conversation will get you nowhere - you have to be able to amuse her.

So how do you do this if normally you're about as funny as a brick wall?

  • I know one way you can be funny is through playfully making fun of her ('teasing').

  • I know another way to be funny is just to say really ridiculous or random things. I think the Simple Pickup videos are a good example of this. Although they present themselves as artifically handicapped from the burden of having to say ridiculous lines (I think their intention is to show how easy it is to pick up women despite carrying such a burden), in reality it's nothing but a boon for them. I think saying something totally absurd ("Hi, do you want to come help me milk my cat?") is actually a far better opener than something normal ("Hi, I thought you were cute and wanted to talk to you").

So, what methods do you guys have on being funny?
