I've gotten tired of sitdown dinners as first dates -- think they're almost as bad as movies because sitting still across a table from each other is just not conducive to building attraction. I've been reasonably successful getting "yeses" when I ask women I've met on dating sites to sitdown-dinner type places, but then the dates themselves have mostly been lousy and haven't led anywhere.

So, the past 3 women I've asked out, I've asked to go play pool & darts at this well-known nearby bar. Seems like it's a natural 1st date idea since it combines getting a bit buzzed with being up and moving around, yet isn't overly involved and is still easily "escapable" (so they have no reason to be fearful). Yet all three women immediately went cold and either ghosted or just otherwise shut down the entire process even though things were going well up to that point.

Any thoughts on why?

PS -- these are women I met on dating sites and thus hadn't met in person yet. Not sure if this affects anything...
