Avoid the whole issue by not taking a girl to places where you would not be willing to pay for her (i'm assuming because you wouldn't be able to afford the places you go if you have to cover two people). Instead go to events or places where you can.

For example, if i'm taking a girl somewhere i take her to a bar or we grab a coffee or go to the food truck style markets where if i pay for both of us it's not over $20. These style of places are also really good because you can say "hey ill cover the food, and you grab the first drinks". It also implies that hanging out is more about getting to know each other instead of the venue.

Essentially the idea of taking a girl somewhere is "I was going to go and do this thing anyway, you should tag along". It's more to show the girl your world in which she would become a part of if she was to be with you. It's why the whole "guy takes girl to very expensive restaurant to show off" is stupid and isn't viable. Because the girl then expects/thinks that the expensive restaurant is a normal part of your world.

Girls are horrible about predicting what they would do.

In their minds, its just this arbitrary faceless dude who is completely defined by his decision to pay or split. In their mind, there is nothing redeeming about the guy that wants to split.

In reality, when they are confronted with a strong, confident man, they are going to be attracted to him and this along with 100's of other "rules" go out the window because they want him.

Have you really never seen a girl go after a guy who does a bunch of shit she doesn't like, but is totally into him so she overlooks it?

There is a common phrase called "Going Dutch"

"Going Dutch" is a term that indicates that each person participating in a group activity pays for themselves, rather than any person paying for anyone else, particularly in a restaurant bill. It is also called Dutch date, Dutch treat (the oldest form[1]) and "doing Dutch".

This in order to minimize cost, sharing the same passion for that particular product and to have the maximum usage of this product.

If you want her to pay for herself then how about saying so? "Lets go Dutch on this date." If she won't date you because of this then move on.

At least in the beginning dates, the man pays, even if she offers. If she insists on splitting or planning and paying for dates late on, ok.

You could take them to places that are free (zoo, museums, hiking), or inexpensive early on (drinks, coffee, etc) , so that you aren't wasting money on women it turns out you aren't getting along with, and if you then get along, you can order food or bounce to somewhere to get food.

Always Always Always offer to pay for the girl! You should accept it if they refuse to let you but Always offer it! It's not a lot of money anyway and a very nice gesture. I'd never insist on splitting, and only do it if she insists herself. Chivalry isn't dead! I'm a guy by the way.
