Why does it seem like I only attract Instathots?

I notice that in my social group, it seems like the only girls that talk to me most often are "Instathots" with over 1000 followers and posting body pictures. Even though they're pretty hot, I'm not actually attracted to them. The ones that are pretty good looking but not as "thotty" looking, they tend to interact with me less.
