I'm newly single and was out at a bar (in America) with a buddy of mine last weekend. It was pretty dead - maybe just 15-20 total people in a large bar. Saw a gorgeous woman about my age (early thirties) and I think I caught her glancing at me from far across the bar.

She had left the bar and came back when my friend and I were leaving a few hours later. This time we crossed paths and made direct eye contact while walking by each other.

As I've always done, when I catch a woman looking at me I lock in the stare and don't look away. This eye contact was all in a span of 3-4 seconds.

I stopped and told her she caught my eye. Said you're absolutely gorgeous, what's your name? She said thanks I noticed you too earlier but I have to go back in and join my friends.

I persisted and gently touched her arm as she walked by to continue the brief conversation and go for the close. Told her I also have to go but would love to see you again. I introduced myself, complimented her beauty again, and got her name. She smiled and put her number in my phone and gave me a warm cheek to cheek hug and longing smile. All of this interaction was maybe 90 seconds.

You could cut the sexual tension with a knife. It's rare when a woman gives such obvious eye contact but when it happens, you have to go strike when the iron is hot.

I texted her first thing the next morning and she agreed to go on a hike with me at a local park later that afternoon. Again, great eye contact and solid sexual tension even during the daytime and in a sober context. Went in for a kiss in about an hour and we chatted and made out hot and heavy for the next hour or so. Have plans to see her again soon.

So the lesson is if you've already made solid eye contact, lock it in and don't look away. Proceed with the approach, be assertive, and directly compliment her while making your romantic intentions clear.
