Why is it that when game works it feels like it wasn’t need it at all

because baseline attraction is very powerful. It's why inner game is promoted so heavily these days, because it works to build that baseline attraction. if that base is strong enough then all you need to do is not be a piece of shit directly to her (although it's often still possible to be) and she will still be attracted to you. People often attribute to good game that which should be credited to base attraction.

The more attracted she is to you - the wider range of behavior she will tolerate from you.

Women aren’t too different from men - just think about if a woman could “game” you into doing what she wants you to do - there’s not much she could do unless she already checked a lot of your boxes. There’s a lot she could do to turn you off but not necessarily stuff that would change your mind if you weren’t into her in the first place.

It basically boils down to mental state for me. If I'm thinking and analyzing then I'm somewhat worried/anxious. If I'm free of any worry I will flow freely without much thought about anything. How I perform socially is very different between those modes.

Most of what makes up my game is to just relax enough to flow, not worry and have fun regardless of the outcomes. The hard part is that I can't put effort into trying to get into this mode because the very nature of it is to let go of control, not tighten in on it.

This is why it feels like game isn't needed, you do your best when you relax into it. When you're trying hard you'll be missing that element of comfort, you feel kinda off and they'll pick up on something being off without necessarily being able to point out exactly what, but it's enough to make them more critical of you.

I've had my best times when I wasn't even trying. Mind that this is different from avoiding, I do not avoid anything, but I'm not pushing towards anything either. I just exist in the moment and just go with the flow of whatever I want to do in the next immediate moment. I'll hit up a conversation if I feel like it or I won't if I don't feel like it. No avoidance and no forcing anything, no effort or at least anything that feels like effort.

It's in that mental state you are your happiest and happiness is magnetic as fuck. We all want to feel like that and if you can be a source of it then most others want to be included in it.

I put aside worrying about any technical parts of game a long time ago in favor of this and I have never looked back. The solution for me is to think less, not more. To just get my attention outside of my own mind, to just be and to just live right here and now. There is no effort in just being, there's only effort in trying to be someone you're not.
