This is a terrible post from someone who (I'm guessing) isn't part of the community or simply isn't successful. I'm assuming most people in the seduction community know full well that this guy is way off so I doubt we'd need to explain it. (Nothing wrong with being underground)

Not true. Physically attracted, yes. But you can become mentally attracted to someone by their actions and attitude, and you can suddenly become much more open to getting with someone who you consider below your "league" in the looks department.

I know because I dated and then married a woman who I considered not to be attractive enough for me, simply because of her attitude and who she was as a person. For women this mental attraction is even more prevalent.

The world is far from shallow.

You are going too far in the other extreme. Sometimes the pickup is just gaming ourselves into confidence, and irrelevant, but sometimes it is legitimate.

You know if your attracted to someone the instant you see them. Before you even talk to them. You mind is already made up.

This may be true for you, but it is certainly not true for anyone, and it is not true always. This is a good warning, but you are thinking too much in black and white, when the truth tends to be blurry greys.

While I agree that playing games and routines is not the way to go (at least for me) saying that the only deciding factor in getting woman is looks or initial attraction is just plain fucking wrong. Your attitude, state of mind, confidence and actions will influence the outcome. I can imagine that using a routine can help someone with his confidence in the interaction which in turn can make him more successful with woman.

Basically what I'm saying is that using a routine could help someone be more attractive because it helps his confidence and makes him not fuck up.

This is basically the argument of indirect game vs. direct game. Clearly the OP is for direct game. While there may be merit to the debate, it is indeed an unsettled debate, and there is very little, if anything, presented here to move the debate forward.

The underlying philosophy is rather pointless, if your goal is practical effectiveness.

You could argue the same about hypnosis, whether it is "real" or if people are just "playing along".

However, if the skill of the hypnotherapist determines how often people want to "play along", then isn't that the same thing?

If using PUA techniques tend to make women "let it work" rather than reject you, then how is that different from them really working?

This is bullshit and a horrible limiting belief.

I know personally I've been "meh" about a girl and then found out she was really kinky or a local celebrity or whatever and I could feel myself re-evaluate her and warm up. All my friends say the same thing... they saw a different aspect in someone and could feel attraction that wasn't there before.

If this were true, then all the AFC guys wouldn't see any improvement with pua techniques, because women would still be attracted to them at equal rates.
