So, I just discovered this subreddit, and I kind of don't get it. Most of my relationships have just started from meeting a woman, getting along with her well if we have similar personalities, and then asking her out (or her asking me out, whatever). I'm not a particularly handsome guy, I'm a little chubby and I've got kinda fucked up teeth, and I'm not extremely interesting either, just a normal guy. But I've found that usually, if you're just a nice, respectful person, at least some women who have something in common with you will be interested.

So what I'm wondering is this: Why "seduction"? What appeals to you guys about playing romantic relationships like a game, trying to pick up women rather than just develop natural relationships with them, that kind of thing. Is it the thrill of sweeping someone off their feet? The challenge of figuring out what it is they like?

Why seduction, guys?
