So I know /r/seduction praises this book, like, a lot. I checked out a few of his articles and he seems like he's past that manipulative and superficial bullshit, and I related with him in that regard. Mark's looked at seduction from an angle I've never been able to find before, he takes people and looks at them as flawed entities that are attracted to each others' "rough edges" that can be expressed genuinely rather than hidden and consequently manifested in manipulation and abuse in relationships, it's a whole new paradigm that might change things I feel.

I still follow a process with women, and can technically break down my interactions, but in the moment I try to be as genuine as I can with them, and a lot of the time the girls I have sex with and I actually have a great connection, not just an empty experience where we both turned each other on by hitting the "right" switches. I make this "vulnerable" connection a cornerstone of my interactions but I still feel like I'm missing something, maybe something is wrong with me.

I feel like I still feel sort of empty and maybe this "objectification" of my dating life is turning me into someone I'll regret 10 years from now. After my recent break up I changed into someone my past self would be disappointed in - I'm not sure this is totally the right answer anymore after reading a few of his articles something clicked that's never done so before, and made me feel a tinge of regret how I've lived the past couple of years. So, why should I read this book?
