I am reading Atlas Shrugged and I came across a great quote which made me understand why I shouldn't try bending the truth or give white lies anymore.

"People think that a liar gains a victory over his victim. What I've learned is that a lie is an act of self-abdication, because one surrenders one's reality to the person to whom one lies, making that person one's master, condemning oneself from then on to faking the sort of reality that person's view requires to be faked. And if one gains the immediate purpose of the lie- the price one pays is the destruction of that which the gain was intended to serve. The man who lies to the world, is the world's slave from then on."

This relates to what Tyler from RSD says about having a stronger reality than the other person. If you lie you are trying to please the other person and are sacrificing your reality for their expense. You are sacrificing yourself to their whim and you are not being the person you wanted to be. I would often avoid bringing up picky topics that may make me seem like a player when talking to girls but the girls I find are the most attractive are the ones who are open about the truth tell me what they have done and I always end up being pulled into their reality when I realize I would never had told them that yet they seemed indifferent. The thing that I thought would lose attraction was building attraction in my eye.

This book isn't about seduction but it does have an amazing philosophy about types of people and I think it shows what a real man should be at times. I recommend reading it! I hope this helps people start being truthful and to be themselves, your reality depends on it!
