Last week I notified my ex wife that I would be spending the weekend getting remaining items gathered for her to pick up this week.

We coordinated for her to have help picking the things up yesterday morning. There was one item we could not locate that is of particular sentimental value. My children and I went upstairs where it was kept to look for it. She was welcome to come upstairs to look for it but did not ask.

Today I came home early from work and heard my younger son on a FaceTime with her and could tell from the conversation that he was looking for the item again.

In a following conversation, I addressed FaceTiming with our child to ask him to look for something when I’m not home seems problematic.

She maintains that he FaceTimed her to talk about their trip next week. She asked if we had found it, and he volunteered to look.

That doesn’t explain why I heard him tell her as I was walking upstairs “he just got home” and then her say, “Okay. I’ll talk to you later.”

Fellas, they have no shame. They will do whatever they can to get what they want no matter how trivial the thing is and no matter how inappropriate their actions are. And then they will defend the actions as “not really the way you’re describing it.”
