Am I missing something?

Obligatory apology for my mobile use, I have no excuses for spelling and grammar.

So I’ve recently started seeing this guy who has been insanely nice and seems to really have all his stuff together. We’ve been on about 7 dates within the past month and a half and have taken it to the next level and are now sleeping together. We don’t get to see each other really all that regularly because we’re both pretty busy, but so far everything has pretty much gone perfectly.

So on to why I’m actually here.

First of all, I don’t actually know how serious he wants to take things. We have a pretty big age gap and he has children and I don’t, so we had agreed to start seeing each other casually. Lately he’s loosely thrown around the bf/gf terms and has been using pet names (babe/sweetheart), but I haven’t met any of his friends or his children. I really do like him so I don’t mind it leading down this path, except for the fact that I feel like I’m missing something. That’s the main reason I’m posting this.

Now to catch you guys up a little, my relationships in the past have almost always been long term and pretty unhealthy. Because of that I also have minimal dating skills that are up to date.

Since meeting him he’s been super polite, doesn’t pressure me at all and has a really calm easygoing demeanor. He has a stable career and what sounds like a stable support system with friends and family. He’s opened up about a few things that can be red flags but has been seemingly upfront and honest with those. My main problem is that I feel like I’m missing something with him. Now obviously I don’t know him really well, we haven’t been seeing each other all that long so I’m not talking about basic things, but more like a secret that’s like crazy messed up in one way or another.

So to wrap up a way too long post here: Is this guy too good to be true or am I just so used to the men I’ve met being fucked up?

Any and advice is appreciated here!
