So I admit that I've recently become addicted to the rush of unmatching and blocking low effort or otherwise unsuitable men on the OLD apps. I generally give all my matches a week to initiate conversation before I unmatch. Because I would rather die than initiate first. The issue is that I don't like to have more than 3 matches at a time, because that is all I can juggle at once. So I like to make sure that I'm actively engaging with all my matches that way I can weed them out faster. The idea of having a zombie match just coming to life suddenly makes me slightly anxious for some reason. A compounding factor is that I'm concerned I may be slightly impatient because my only real relationship was with a covert narc who love bombed the heck out of me. And because of this I've become accustomed to a lot of attention straight off the bat but am slowly relearning more normal forms of courtship. Which returns me to my question: is 1 week a reasonable amount of time for a match to introduce themselves on OLD apps?

TLDR: I'm heartily enjoying umatching and/or blocking dudes that don't introduce themselves within 1 week of matching on the dating apps. Fair or no?
