100% Other women are not my competition, they're my sisters.

1) Compliment their cooking
2) Act obnoxiously happy whenever they did nice things for you - no matter how small
3) Pay attention to their mundane likes and message them whenever you found the things that reminds you of them - or buy some if you can
4) Pay attention to whatever skills they have and compliment the ever living shit out of it - I really love the way my workmate write (it is really pretty! I am totally jealous!) and will remind her that her damn handwriting is so damn beautifulllll like ughhhh
5) Listen to their talks and be very interested in what they have to say
6) Encourage their goals, push them to be better, pursue further, get more
Be the friend who gets cheesy and happy and all that positive shit (even if you are not, just force yourself) for them. Women had been enduring society trying to trample them to death and wring them dry, enough is enough.
Women are awesome and amazing and can be whatever the heck we wanna be - so remind all our sisters of that fact every single day.

I work in a high traffic retail job and I make sure to try and do this every day that I’m not feeling like crap myself. You should see the looks on these women’s faces it’s like they’re not used to it and it makes him so happy.

And be able to give and accept tough love when your sisters tell you you're fucking up.

You know, I learned how to do this properly from black women. I’m white and I lived so much of my life never hearing a woman just offer an offhand compliment to another. I moved to my current city, which is a lot more ethnically diverse and it blew me away. Black women often will say “Love your bag!” “What a great dress!” “That’s such a pretty ring!” AND they’ll also just say something cheery when I’m visibly sad, “Things will get better.” etc.
Like... wait... are you not sizing me up to determine who could more easily snag a man, and then hating me or pitying me accordingly? What’s happening?
Now I do it all. The. Damned. Time. I’ll look for an excuse to compliment whenever I can. It makes me feel great, it makes them feel great. I also love the slightly stunned look on their face. 😂 I don’t know how or why this secret seems to be commonly known by black women and no one else, but ladies, I’m running with it.
