Not a big surprise that when someone from the lower classes doesn't adhere to the internal leftist orthodoxy that the higher ones see it as an insult, even secular sacrilege, and the person who slighted them as an enemy. It's a form of entitlement, you're supposed to grovel before them; in their view it is owed to them that you do this.
There is a great irony in this of course, as leftists shirek about tearing down inequalities, with emphasis on social rules, only to build up entirely new ones.
