I get this a lot, despite being a child of boomers, because I didn't grow up in the U.S. so I didn't get the full political commie indoctrination, I had effective parents that understood quite a bit how to raise children to be successful.

So those silly lessons I was taught were successful so therefore I must be some boomer because I actually paid attention to boomers and applied their "wildly out of touch" mentality to being successful. Sorry I wasn't out marching in ineffective protests for things that don't matter.

Strangely enough, that's ended up with everyone in my family and extended family being successful, how odd.

Those evil "boomers" don't embrace Bernie and full communism, so I guess they're "bad". Who said full communism is good?

Are some boomers against change? Absolutely. Do some want change? Absolutely. Marijuana didn't get legalized because millennials did shit. Those evil boomers did it.

Did the internet come into creation because of evil boomers or entitled millennials? Did those millennial invest their money? Nope. Did they lose their retirement when pets.com dropped out in the the 90s crash?

Did millennials lose their retirements when the housing market started collapsing in 2006? Nope.

So the regressive left created "ok boomer" as an insult because it's to marginalize old people for fucking caring about their own personal lives. You know, not in any way like entitled millennials that support civilization by pre-ordering video games.

So millennials, thinking they're immortal, blame everything on mommy and daddy, that is until the vast reality of life descends on them and they start to see the real picture on how the world works and their little spinning cog wheel in it.^*

I think mostly this is a millenial thing. They gloat about it incessantly, not realizing both they and boomers are pretty much the fact same thing, what with free love, women's rights, diversity, weird sexual stuff, wanting free stuff, etc. And both are (contrary to their supposed socialist credentials) highly capitalist and materialist. Of course I'm generalizing, but you see where I'm going.

IMHO, this is just a political strategy to bring young people to vote. I see it as an action reaction type of thing. Sadly it only brings more division and keep people out from joining to tackle the important problems.

By my age I am a millennial or Gen X 'er I think (I'm in my late 30's), but I was raised by my grandparents since I was 8 who where born in 1929 and 1933 I relate more to the silent generation, lol. I have been called old man by so many of my girlfriends and family because I am "too conservative", lol.

Millennials have been getting ragged on forever, mostly from baby boomers and the occasional Gen X. Most of it is justified, Gen Y is a fucked up generation that had some fucked up ideas but so was the Boomer generation. "Ok Boomer" is just the reverse.

"You god damned millennials fuck everything up all the time." Broad Generalizing statement smearing everyone born between 1980-1994

"Ok Boomer, Whatever you say." Snotty overused poorly thought out generalizing comeback implying a smear on everyone born betwen 1946-1964

The comical thing is that the groups who hate each other have no foresight or hindsight what the fuck so ever. Yes millenials are fucked up, but we're fucked up because our parents were the boomers, and we pretty much did the exact same shit as they did back in the day, and without a doubt we'll be bitching about Gen Alpha in 30 years for being more fucked up than we are. No generation is particularly better than any other, they all have their challenges, I love and have great respect for many in the greatest generation. They lived through and fought horrors most of us can never even imagine, having said that the horrors they fought were from the same generation as them who did the fighting. Time tends to even everything out that way.
