I work as a massage therapist in a spa. A few weeks ago a 16 year old girl and her mother came in for treatments. The girl was dutifully slotted to be treated by a female. It was explained to me, logically, that under aged girls must be treated by a same sex therapist. I asked if there was an under aged boy would that hold true too and was told yes.

On sunday a son and father came in for treatments. The boy was certainly under 18 although I did not ask his age. He was slotted to be treated by a woman as well! I asked my boss about it and was told that in general minors must be treated by same sex, but this time is was OK.

Three issue I have: 1) If that boy complains of sexual misconduct his therapist goes to jail. Risk for the therapist 2) If that boy complains of sexual misconduct the spa as a whole will get very bad hype. 3) As a male therapist there is little enough work for us as it is. Most people want female therapists. Here is a treatment which MUST be done by a male, why take a completely unnecessary and dangerous risk?
