I've tried for a while to figure out where anyone got an impression that the MRM is transphobic or anti-gay. The best I can guess is that many feminists assumed that we are all tradcons from like 20 years ago, culture wars wise.

If they could find a word that rhymes with "misogyny", they'd use that in their chants too. It's all just for feminist shits & giggles.

I've seen two people here in the past.. I'll say a year try to argue some pretty shitty views about trans folk.
I think a few folks are using commenters like that against us. You know: the old "look at this dusty old comment with 2 karma, it represents your entire movement!" shit.

You are not wrong. Their identity validation comes from having an enemy they can fight in order to define themselves. Apple has done this with their marketing campaign. They define themselves by what a PC isn't because they are the enemy. Without an emeny they become a regular person just like the rest of us. They become nothing special, and they dont like it.

So for back story, the discussion was surrounding a post in r/canada, about A trans-woman wanting to use a women's only spa. I saw this response to some of the comments. While there were some pretty rude responses to the story, I didn't feel this one was right. I was always of the opinion the MRM wan't anti-LGBTQ. I feel that the MRM would also stand up for trans women/men, would it not?

It's not. We have quite a few gay men and trans men in this sub. When accusations like this have been discussed in the past, a number of them have spoken up to say they do feel accepted and included here, which is exactly what we want.

there has to be a way to enlighten people that the MRM isn't anti LGBTQ, I'm honestly lost on the fact that people would think it in the first place. I believe it to be the same of accusing feminists of the same thing. Is it a their megaphone is louder sort of thing, not enough P.R., lack of organization/education?

In my experience the MRM is more welcoming to trans rights than the feminist movement, which has an entire subpopulation explicitly devoted to trans hate (TERFs)
They think trans women aren't really women because they have male privilege, and trans men are gender traitors and sexual deviants.
Being derided, belittled, attacked, and ignored for not being in "the right group" is something both men and trans folk experience at the hands of feminists.

TERFs are not common. I don't know if this sub has more transphobes than feminism.
We seem to have plenty of people who don't care about supporting trans people, judging from all the comments casually joking about identifying as a woman to make some kind of political point or cause a problem.
