Let me get this straight. She kills a baby, admits to as much, confesses that she knew it was wrong, and not only is she not spending life in prison she is also required to take parenting classes?!?

I was given 7 years deferred and 5 years probation for having a single pill of ecstasy, lawyers fees, fines, classes and court cost ended up costing me over 30k. Glad to see the government views me on the same level as a baby murderer. I love this FUCKING country.

If you're getting mad at anybody, it should be the prosecutor. If the article is correct that:

Court records from 2015 state Evenson told police she put her hand over the infant's mouth in an effort to quiet the baby.

then she should've been convicted of 2nd degree murder. There's no way for a reasonable person to suffocate a baby "accidentally." And if she's too insane to be convicted, then she would be found Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity, rather than convicted of involuntary manslaughter. This case stinks of something.

No...thats clearly murder and none of it was involuntary, she directly and voluntarily did the actions that killed the baby.
