Objectification is just fancy language for demonizing male sexuality. Not to mention for all intents and purposes men are considered success objects and I certainly don't look twice.

And maybe the reason that is, is because people make posing nude so rare, it is a novelty, not that we just view it as sexual.

You're shaming people for their sexuality three times over. You call these posters creeps. You remove their humanity by associating them with an already stigmatized community: the internet. You use the word 'cocks' like sexuality should involve some other part of the male body, and you assume that these people aren't simply appreciating these women. Quit treating internet males like a bunch of dirty predators. Your hate may be justified in some way, yes. Our sexuality in the world needs some help, but your hate is misdirected.

Well, objectification, in my opinion, is a problem. But only when it's non-consensual.

I mean, objectification happens everywhere. Most people objectify the cashier when they go to by groceries. They don't want to hear about their personal life or their 3 kids. People see the cashier simply as an object for their convenience. And that form of objectification is okay.

Same with the person who shows a photo of themselves naked.

But unwilled objectification shouldn't be okay. You shouldn't date a person and just treat them like an ATM machine if he/she wants to be in a relationship with you. And you shouldn't expect another person to simply serve your sexual needs when they want a relationship.

Yep, the whole objectification business only goes to show that females have really very little to complain about. Despite obsessing over their looks, spending huge amounts on cosmetics and dressing to show off their fertility indicators, it is still somehow men who are to blame for seeing women as sex objects.

Objectification is now just a hut button buzzword made popular by feminists working day and night to ensure unquestionable female victimhood.

No one really stops to think about the word, they just blurt it.

Let's think here(no wonder feminists can't figure it out), to treat someone as less than human to the point of being an object, bound to the will of the beholder.

Pretty sure those pictures of those naked Olympic athletes weren't taken against their will.

No one put a gun to their heads to get in front of the camera posed nude.

The possible reactions are obvious, and if they're not, well my god how fucking stupid are you.

The reactions are either, appreciation of naked human females in a sexual light, or appreciation of the human female form in a non-sexual and even serious critical light.

The way objectification is commonly used, particularly in that thread is a thinly disguised and poor attempt at shifting blame for the possibility of the person being "objectified" might regret having that picture taken later.

In other words its feminism's way of removing women's accountability.

"It's not my fault I feel bad about those pictures now, the people looking at them are to blame, not me for agreeing to have them taken!! ;_;"

Like every feminist buzzword, objectification has utterly lost its meaning in feminism's quest for narcissistic, irresponsible, victimhood.

Edit: oh and I almost forgot.

The result of feminism's perversion of the word objectification, is largely demonization of male sexuality.

Every girl I've ever met openly admits to checking other girls out. Not in a sexual way but that doesn't matter; they assess females for the quality of their individual sexual physical attributes, and yet that isn't objectifying is it? No. Why not? Objectification is when you ignore either the fact that someone is a human, or you ignore what you're really meant to be focusing on (in this case, the athlete's abilities), in favour of, "OMG, look at those boobs!" or whatever.

It sends a message that the only important thing about that person is their sex appeal, and that it overrides all other things.
