As a man i believe this stems from the lack of information, not porn and so on.
Women as a group profusely refuse to ever talk about it, to give information to men about sex.
You can even see this in women subs, all sexual questions are downvoted, frownd upon, not engaged, or extremly poorly answered.
Men are starving for information, descriptions, prescriptions, preferences and so on from women in the sexual subject.
But theres gigantic forcefield of ''this is creepy, disgusting, embarrasing'' that women hold around this subject that results in men being starved from information about it, wich leads to all this massive insecurities, and only the top 5% of men that are so hot that they will get laid no matter what, only those men will get the information necessary through raw practice, and the rest will be in the darkness forever.

About the last paragraph,in my opinion, women are becoming embarrassingly more horny and perverted than men these days. And it is ironic as well because that stigma still exists with that in mind which is kind of funny if not just, plain unsavory.
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I honestly think the levels of perversion have relatively close for all human existence, but women haven’t been able to act upon due to a lack of physical strength, and generally not being as horny as men. Assuming these two factors were equal, I wouldn’t be surprised if they outnumbered men in that regard.
I think it’s more evident now, since women are more free than ever.

I don’t really think this matters if you think about it,but it does leave the impression:it is so much more present online.
Like, talk about the onlyfans and some of the lewd twitch streamers and some of the ones that do rather explicit tik toks and shit plus whatever I’m missing(probably Twitter).
Ironically again it does weird me out a bit/a lot the obsession that comes to it most times, and how even then the before mentioned stigma exists even with all this, image.

Women strongly prefer men who “get it” naturally. Of course, everyone prefers those who have/do things effortlessly; it’s embedded within us. But, I think men are far, far more forgiving in this regard.
I expanded on this more in my comment here.

Penis Size
I don't think lying will help men. We should admit that size does matter but there is nothing to do. Most men know it, lying to them will just make them feel even worst. You are born with your penis and you need to live with it.
Dominance/Submissiveness and expectation
Men are expected to "lead" during sex. If a man does not lead and the woman does not take initiative, the two of them will just look at each other in awkward silence and the man will be blamed and shamed for being bad in bed.
Women can help men feel good, can look for small turn on, but will most of them do it since the onus on pleasuring the other is on men ? Yes it should be that both put the effort in it but that is not the reality. Do men need to talk to their partner to make them understand that they are not putting the effort in in the bed and risk being called an asshole ?
If you think we should change the societal expectations, we will be called misogynist for suggesting that women should put in effort in bed. The only way will be to first debunk the myth that sex was always about women pleasing men because of patriarchy. We need to make people understand that sexual satisfaction and pressure to please the other cannot be measured by the number of orgasms. Till then, men will need to put up with being a talking vibrator.

I agree with the first part, but not the rest. PE (enhancement) is a rapidly growing topic and should be looked into for those who need it (with women’s expectations, it would apply to most at this point).

As a female, what do you hear/read that other females say?
[–]NutsLikeMelons 18 points19 points20 points 3 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link
I felt mildly emasculated just reading this! I’m sure your heart is in the right place but, honestly, this isn’t something you can help with. The only thing women could do to change this is sleep with less guys. Most of these issues you speak of about ego or confidence have a lot to do with being your 10th or 20th or 50th partner - lots of competition. You can’t understand how men feel about settling down with a woman who has had partners who were bigger/better etc. But we aren’t allowed to say things like that anymore. Feminism says that’s our problem, not yours. But then, if it didn’t impact you too, this post wouldn’t exist. Food for thought maybe.

Just to play devils advocate. I think part of what she is saying is that women don't pay that much attention to who was bigger or smaller. I know personally I really don't think much about which one of my past partners had bigger or smaller boobs. Honestly some of the better looking women I've been with have been the worst in bed. Maybe because they didn't have to work at it? Idk
[–]Hagen-Merak 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Yes! IDK why; but the most attractive woman I've been with; she was the worst in bed, while the not-so-hot women have left me hungry for more.
One thing i have noticed is the lack of kindness. Women who are kind and compassionate; are a lot better in bed. Which is a shame really, it is becoming harder and harder to find a kind woman... now i am sad.
[–]somethingneet 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Because attractive women think just simply getting to fuck them is the main event so they don't try
[–]somethingneet 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Dick size isn't even in the same universe as boob size. No woman is getting openly laughed at in bed over the size of their boobs
[–]anoncitizen4 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Because most men won't laugh at a woman they've worked hard to get in bed and boob size isn't as easy to hide. You know what your getting by the time you've gotten that far.
[–]somethingneet 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Exactly. It's a false equivalence in every eay
[–]anoncitizen4 -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I think you are over analyzing the comparison.
[–]somethingneet 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I'm really not. There is absolutely no basis for that comparison in the slightest
[–]LoopyPro 14 points15 points16 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
lots of competition
Bingo. Guys are aware that with a higher partner count, there is an increased chance that they are being outperformed by or compared to previous guys, and that the woman is more likely to get bored with him over the course of a long term relationship because of that.
This would not be an issue in a casual short term relationship, so guys are more likely to consider that as the most optimal choice for intimacy.
Lower partner count simply means that the bar, and thus the burden to perform optimally at all times, is lower. Call it some form of performance anxiety if you want.

The price tag for marriage is steep, divorce is steeper. And it is meant to last until you die. Who wants to only have one woman, knowing she has already had a laundry list of previous lovers. That’s why the sexual revolution is killing marriage.

This "unrealistic views due to porn" myth must stop, it pushes away resonsibility that women have with pushing expectations and shame on men. You might prefer or accept men who are submissive or have other penis shapes (or even in america the circumcision issue as i have read), for many other women it is not so fine.
I for one just want to jerk each other off and cuddle.
Need more of holding women accountable on negating body positivity for men. Call them out each time they say "ewww" and such to male body parts please, even if you are in your sisterhood.
[–]matt_the_raisin 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yeah straight up the second 2 are so exhausting that often I have more enjoyment alone than with my partner. There's a huge hurtle to these problems even of your partner is supportive. "Just talk about it" just having to unravel women's preconceived ideas and selfish wants to get to the point where we're talking about my needs is going to take months and she'll likely leave you because of it so why try? It's all exhausting.

As a male, I have to say, you don’t fully grasp the male sexual experience. Half(ish) of male sexual pleasure is derived from experiencing and providing female sexual pleasure.
If it’s a random or casual hookup, the onus of pleasing a woman is significantly reduced, but if you’re a regular, or if we really like you, the onus is always.
I think the drive to please a woman sexually is the same thing that drives men to conquer and to creat things. Idk if it’s ego or pride or whatever, but it is tangible in a way that is hard to describe.
It plays right in with the fact that most men have issues with their partners sexual past, especially in regards to promiscuity. It’s primal. Encoded in our DNA.
You know how it makes you feel good to know you pleased your man? It’s that x100 for men.
[–]Roddy0608 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I'm actually quite selfish. I think sex should be about pleasing yourself.
I agree and disagree. Both parties should be selfish in this regard, and need to clearly communicate how to achieve their own pleasure by working together.
Women will literally go “it’s fine” 9/10 times when asked what’s wrong/what they should’ve done differently.
I believe that this stems from porn and comparing themselves to the abnormally large dicks found on pornhub, redtube, and other adult sites. It leads to problems inside the bedroom when a man thinks that they are not enough based off of unrealistic expectations.
Stop. It literally comes from women who expect every man to have an 8 inch dick and will literally laugh at an average sized one. Ask me how I know.

What has it got to do with men's rights? Your post is giving me r/DeadBedrooms vibes where the only thing they like to talk about is sex lol
[–]accountcasual 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
It has to do with the lack of support men receive. Culturally, this is a prevalent issue where anytime a man struggles with any of these issues, he's seen as lesser.

Check OP's profile and some posts mocking men with smaller penis and you will see what I meant 😂

A man won’t mind dating a woman with a boob job, but I think we all know what the woman would think if she learned her man underwent a leg lengthening procedure. Even if that’s too extreme, what if she learns he takes anabolic steroids, and his physique isn’t earned naturally? What if he wears a toupee? What if he wears soles artificially increasing his height?
A bit of a tangent here, but it’s bizarre how much faking women are allowed to do (makeup, push-up bras, heels, yoga pants, somehow).
