Interesting discussion at work today.

Female colleague said she was driving home last night on the motorway - for non UK people a 3 lane road/70 limit. She had a flat tyre and pulled into the shoulder. It was dark freezing and raining. Her car does have facility to fix a flat but even ignoring weather conditions she wouldn't know how to do it. So she called Porsche assitance. They asked if she was a single woman travelling alone, she said yes. They said OK you're number 2 on the priority list after a lone woman with kids we'll be there asap. She said great. Guy turned up in 15 minutes fixed her tyre and got her on her way.

Somebody said don't you feel guilty that you'd been prioritised over men that had been waiting longer and may have had places to be some time. She said fuck that I'm not a feminist.

There's clearly a female privilege at play here. Presumably a feminist would reject this female privilege but a non feminist would be fine with it?
