Stats: 15%ish? body fat, 5'11", 165, don't lift, been trying to start a calisthenics routine but not consistent yet.

Reading: I've read a bunch of RP theory on TRP, listened to a bunch of books on audible, like books on body language, No More Mr. Nice Guy, etc. I can remember more if it matters.

Finances: Engineering internship before my last year of school, it pays well. I've always been a big dreamer and I'm developing myself into a doer too, taking the necessary risks and sacrifices, and she knows it. Just started an online educational project and she said she's proud of me :)

Spiritual: I've been intentional leading my relationship, and we've been able to leverage it so we're both consistently praying and reading the Bible daily. I don't share my faith much, but I strongly want to. GF and I are geniunely seeking God's will for the relationship, praying together, etc.

Problem: So I've been dating for 6 months. We met last term in school, and decided to go for the long distance thing and see each other once a month until graduation this coming June. We seem like a great fit, the dynamics are awesome. She's very follow-oriented and I'm glad to lead. We're saving sex.

I've dealt with PMO (porn masturbation orgasm) a lot in the past, but haven't looked at anything since a couple weeks before I met her. A few months in, I told her that I'd struggled before and she wasn't fazed. Just said she'd heard that a lot of guys deal with it.

Last night I was starting my new project on Instagram, the educational thing, and some skanky pic caught my eye. I ended up searching around Insta for more (thank God there wasn't much) and masturbated too.

It was a wakeup call for me that I wasn't on guard enough at this critical part of my life (looking for God's direction and trusting Him in many ways, on the verge of big impactful life changes). So I've taken steps to be more cautious. I expect many more temptations but I don't expect to fail as long as I keep the armor on.

So I don't feel like a dirty failure, but I want to be honest with my GF. If I carry on like it's still hunky-dory I'll feel like I'm hiding it from her. I don't want her to necessarily be an accountability partner (have a couple great friends for that), but I want her to know where I'm at.

Question: Do you think it's wise to tell her? Is communicating here worth burdening her with the knowledge?

Thanks in advance.

Edit: Thanks for all the feedback, and within a day! Just wanted to let you all know that I'm going to follow your advice and not make a fuss about this mistake. I've dealt with it thoroughly with God and my bros, so I won't burden her with it.
