This spurred me down a rabbit hole of research, and i found this interesting article that i think further supports RPW.

I think this is an interesting article that really backs RPW beliefs of gender gate keeping; that women are the gatekeepers of sex and men are gatekeepers of security (in this article this is articulated through finances).

It talks about how women compete to have a HSMV and how men compete to be HVM.

Some Notes: - It says that women compete by dieting, improving looks, tearing down other women, etc. I wanted to note, that I think tearing down other women/slut shaming is coming from a place of insecurity and is not a classy way to compete. HVW are secure enough in themselves to not feel threatened and to not resort to behavior like this.

  • I’ve always wondered why men seemed to make friends easier and generally display a sense of camaraderie. It turns out it’s because men band together to make more $$$ than they could alone. Making more $$$ increases their value to women.
