2.5 million go to Iraq and Afghanistan, 8,000 are killed = 0.3% mortality 150 million US women, 17,000 killed by intimate partners = 0.01% mortality There is an order of magnitude difference here. You may as well say heart disease is a war on women.

[–]DarkCircle16 points17 points18 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If you pander to the female electorate, you get the votes of both women and betas. Win-win. Fuck truth.

[–]Ironhigh25 points26 points27 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Feminists do that all the time.

For example:

"blah blah blah, women only have 1/6 STEM jobs".

Yeah, the number of women who study for STEM fields is just as low.

"huehuehue, there are almost no female politician"

Women are the majority of voters.

"but women never achieve the top of companies like men!"

Men don't get pregnant and quit the job for a couple of years.

[–]__var10 points11 points12 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Some schools love to brag about how many women enroll in STEM majors but they don't like to mention how many stay in that major and actually graduate. I was looking for stats on this but instead I came across this interesting observation.

Researchers have uncovered the reason for this difference in how difficulty is interpreted, and it is simply this:

more often than not, bright girls believe that their abilities are innate and unchangeable, while bright boys believe that they can develop ability through effort and practice.

That article went to shit really quickly.

It's painstaking for me to read as an educator that my comments congratulating a female student for a correct response or a well written essay is the primary influence in making them "throw in the towel" when facing tough problems.

The answer to this is deeply embedded in our biology. Man is the industrious creature, the builder, the hunter, the explorer, a creature who evolved to continually deal with life threatening problems. But no way can we bring evolution into the education debate, unless we want to expose how deeply flawed feminist inspired research has been on our children's education and development.

The thing about politicians is that it's actually become the opposite. Around 85% of all candidates in my region and neighboring regions are female. I was fucking shocked when driving around town (election season) and seeing nothing but female posters everywhere telling us to vote for them. The odd male was, obviously, of the conservative party. The same party as I was going to vote for until I saw that one of my best buddies is running and a candidate for the Libertarian party!

I'm from Ontario, Canada if it's worth something.

Their cause is laughable because of this one graph.

[–]Pattheboss562 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Since the only place where females deaths are higher is from an intimate partner, it now it begs the question...what could ever inspire a loving boyfriend or husband to want to get rid of their girlfriend or wife?

[–]HighRelevancy[S] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Whose?

[–]hashtagpound2point21 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Every blogger using these cherry picked stats to continue painting women as major victims.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

There's lies, damn lies, then statistics....

[–]BelievableEscort4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

In Australia they are really going nuts with women's issues lately, they tout that 1 women every week will be killed by a man they knew intimately.

If the numbers in /u/hashtagpound2point2 's graph are anything to go by they would also have to admit that 1 man every 1.3 weeks will be killed by a women they knew intimately, and the big statistic is that men are 82% more likely to be killed than women.

Gives less of a fear response in women though, which is what feminism thrives on.

As the top comment on the article correctly points out, this is all political ammo for left parties to buy female voters, democracy ultimately results in a leftist, socialist government which panders to women and feminine men at the expense of the hard working and successful.

[+]xx3345-11 points-10 points-9 points 12 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

You have no idea what you're talking about Obama is right wing and in a previous era would be a moderate republican. There is no leftist government in america. There is so much political ignorance here on redpill outside of criticisms of feminism it's disturbing.

[–]Daddy45 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

There is so much political ignorance here on redpill outside of criticisms of feminism it's disturbing.

I think that many men find the Red Pill and are unwilling or unable to reconcile their (forgive me for generalizing) liberal or leftist views with Red Pill reality.

Feminism -- modern-day, "social-justice" feminism -- is little more than Marxism.

The comment that the "War on Women" is political ammo for the Left is entirely true. Leftists want to shame women into compliance and shame them away from voting for, much less listening to or evaluating the arguments of, the dreaded "right wing."

[–]xx3345-1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I think that many men find the Red Pill and are unwilling or unable to reconcile their (forgive me for generalizing) liberal or leftist views with Red Pill reality.

Most red pillers wouldn't know the first thing about politics, aka history. It's obvious that outside of women this subreddit reflects the view of predominantly americans. And most americans are stupid, including american men (hence redpill).

Feminism -- modern-day, "social-justice" feminism -- is little more than Marxism.

You don't know god damn shit, feminism used social justice as a cover, no man would kick his grandmother off social security, or tell the disabled to go fuck themselves.

There are legit reasons for this shit to exist. Many bad things come along for the ride (identity politics, feminism, etc). Because the truth is hard and complex not easy and simple.

I'm sorry but history is complicated and you and most of redpill are dumbing it down.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

To sum up the argument you presented: "You're wrong because you're a stupid face."

Government run healthcare, entitlements, and taxation would like a word with you

[–]xx3345-1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Government run healthcare, entitlements, and taxation would like a word with you.

Science would like to have a word with you (you know truth, manly shit like that). Physicians (aka people who actually research shit and work in medicine) know what they are talking about because they look at FACTS, something many redpillers don't like outside of info about women.

http://www.pnhp.org/facts/what-is-single-payer

[–]Gstreetshit0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

ACA isn't a single payer system

[–]Endless_Summer-5 points-4 points-3 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Do go on about these "entitlements"

[–]Gstreetshit1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

I shouldn't have separated government run health care and entitlements.

So there is one.

edit: food stamps and the lifeline program

It may be the best use of the word, but I would call the bank/auto bailouts entitlements

Yes it's good that you post from a thinktank made by rich billionaires. This is more evidence that redpill is a bunch of clueless pseudo-intellects.

[–]Gstreetshit0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

If hitler says 2+2=4 does that make him wrong?

There are sources listed on all the graphs.

7 trillion added to the debt in his term. Is that a thinktank bullshit figure too?

He is on the way to be as bad of a president as Bush.

[–]ControlBlue3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Woooo, what a hero you are!! You sure showed him what's up!! Now the problem is that we can't know if you came here to defend the leftists or just to bash on TRP...

You can go back to your PC-endorsed subreddits if you don't like what is being discussed here.

Also, I bet it never came to your mind that maybe he is indeed a leftist but because of the current economical AND political situation he has to lean to the right?

[–]hungoverseal3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

Here in the UK Obama is to the right of our conservative government. It's all relative but I wouldn't consider Obama leftist.

I don't know why you guys take redpill stuff down the right wing politics route. Sure most of the problems redpill highlights have been produced by liberal advances conflicting with primal instinct but it doesn't mean we should go back to being cavemen. It means we need to adjust or evolve our more liberal society

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't know why you guys take redpill stuff down the right wing politics route.

For the most part, because feminism has entirely co-opted the left.

[–]scallopkid1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Everything is spin.

[–]__var1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

In Ontario, our misleading graphs don't even bother with labels.

http://ontariopc.com/millionjobsplan/#pane7

Anyone that watches the Daily show probably remembers this Fox graph on Obama care.

[–]cookiecutterbullshit 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

How many men get killed by other men when the subject IS a woman? Add those up too.

[–]OpiumPhrogg0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

A facebook friend of mine's response to me posting this, thoughts?

Actually I might suggest that this is an example of anti-feminist propaganda. These stats are pretty incomplete and probably quite susceptible to "Simpson's Paradox," aka a complete set of data based on a half-cooked questioning methodology. To say "men are murdered more often!" is to fail to ask the question of why they are killed. If there were no disparity between men and women socially -- if nobody felt like women were fragile creatures deserving of protection and incapable of serious harm -- wouldn't they be murdered at equal rates?

[–]1ConstableCockBlock6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

So not murdering women is sexist. I need a moment...

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If you define sexism at not treating men and women exactly the same for any situation, then yeah, sexist, but then you also deny the inherit differences between the sexes, which in my opinion is even more sexist.

It's sexist in the same way that affirmative action is racist.

[–]Dopamine370 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Politicians know the true facts, but they propagate this bs to win women's votes, I read an article of ROK on why women shouldn't vote.. I was taken back, it wasn't just a link bait designed to piss off bull dykes and women it was legit. I didn't even bother reading it to my shame, but after reading the things in the link, I think I'll give it a read

[–]brecca3-2 points-1 points0 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I guess we should start a # called yesallmen.

[–]CreepAcceptance15 points16 points17 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No. #yesallcats has done a far greater job satirising the whiny oppression olympics than a "what about us" mens equivalent ever could.

[–]Gstreetshit2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

4chan has started one that is #yesallcats

It's fucking amazing

[–]Endorsed ContributorFLFTW163 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No we shouldn't.

[–]Shrike20 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Begging for attention?

I see your hesitation, but think about your comment just a bit more.
