Younger girls don't know what they want. They think they want an older guy, but in truth they just want attention. She was attracted to you, but when you were working or at Uni and couldn't respond, she had about 1000 other guys giving her attention and validation.

Her hamster starts going overtime. Being unavailable works for a few months, but they're sitting there bored all day doing nothing waiting for you to text. Eventually they say "oh he's just not that into me" and cheat - rationalizing it by saying "he's probably cheating on me".

Also, the friends will never approve. They think it's weird and/or creepy. Parents aren't on board. Beta orbiters start saying "lol he's older that's why he's dating younger girls, he can't get any his own age". This makes them question whether it's right to be in an LTR. Since they're young, they can't deal with breaking it off themselves, so they'll try and piss you off enough to break it off for them, and probably hurt you more in the process.

They're too immature to LTR. They don't want a man with "goals" and "aspirations". They want a guy who will give them attention, has social status and will fuck them good. They can't really comprehend not getting attention. I can almost guarantee she guilted you into the LTR by crying. Don't think of it too much, there's very little you could've done bar not being sucked into a LTR.

You got oneitis because she was probably obsessed with you at the start. Texting you every 30 minutes. I had the same thing.

When you have oneitis, you delude yourself into thinking abnormal or downright disrespectful behaviors are acceptable. You start to make excuses for other people. It's like having tunnel vision where you are only seeing the perfect outcome and the ideal image of the person in your head without any flaws. Essentially you want so bad for them to be the person you have built up in your mind that you completely lose your ability to logically assess the situation. You ALLOW yourself to be treated that way. Before TRP, I was not so much mad at my ex but mad at myself for putting up with shit for so long thinking that the more effort and love I showed her that it would just magically fix itself. As far as suspecting something, humans have intuition for a reason and that sinking feeling in your gut doesn't just magically appear out of no where. Oneitis is horrible and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. There's nothing worse than deluding yourself into thinking things aren't the way they seem for a possible whiff of a vagina. Unsuspecting noobs get trampled on the first time they have an incredibly attractive woman, it happened to me. Next time just take the blinders off.
