"Give me 10 minutes to talk away my ugly face and I'll bed the Queen of France"

I think your observations forgot a distinctly boyish subtype of beauty exemplified by Brandon Flynn in 13 Reasons Why, Daren Kagasoff, and the younger version of Gaspard Ulliel. In the 16-28 year range, this cute-but-boyish look drives the girls crazy and no amount of lifting can fix the problem (all three examples are beardless, thin, not muscled).

yup obviously gym wouldn't hurt those guys
this is one area trp kind of hits on but not, "you are ugly lift lift and raise your smv, worry about what you can change"
a short guy with a ugly face that gets jacked will still be ugly as shit
if you got the money, shit get jaw implants and other plastic surgery, trp is kinda lying like just lift and itll be alright,
inb4 comments "i'd have to be really insecure to get plastic surgery" "that's for pussies" meanwhile this gets every woman passing by breaking their neck to look, wish trp would stop lying to the ugglies lol
[–]Endorsed ContributorMarsupian21 points22 points23 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Just lift is always good advice bacause it's always an improvement. Nobody claimed it could save everyone.
Also believing that you are fucked for life will always decrease your smv and is never a positive influence on your life. Sure there will be the odd guy out there who will never get his smv up to average but we can't see the dude behind the screen and telling people they should just give up is fucked up.
Basically don't be a sad cunt and take positive action to change what you can change.
[–]MisterRoid1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
So true. Starting to lift and drop in bodyfat will help you if you are ugly because of excess fat in the face (that you can get rid off), but some people need a liposuction if they want a good jawline because of stubborn fat that won't go away even when they have low bodyfat.
[–]iamneptuno0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Indeed. Rhinoplasty is for beta bitches, yet braces are completely fine. This sub is a joke when it comes to these matters.
[–]Endorsed ContributorBluepillProfessor2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
You CAN change your body shape without surgery but you can't change your teeth by going to the gym. Getting the fat sucked out when you can work out and lose it is different than getting your teeth fixed when they cannot be fixed by yourself no matter what you do. I don't see the joke or the contradiction.
[–]iamneptuno4 points5 points6 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Rhinoplasty has nothing to do with fat.

Sure, but they have attractive expressive faces and are masculine and charismatic. Also note the absence of nasal vowels & obnoxiously loud voices that are quite common among college-educated american/western males since the 2000s. These dudes in the links pronounce "not" as "not", "god" as "god". Not many americans do that anymore. "naht" and "gahd" is the common standard now. Or would that be "cahmmun stendrd"? Whatever.
These genetically gifted dudes are completely abnormal, you are more likely to find lifters around town than guys who look and sound like these. Cultivated accents and well-groomed appearances.

Facial symmetry w/ enough T.
Significantly high degree of facial symmetry goes a long way. But if you've got to trade off between that and height, height all the way.
This entire post is physical dimorphism, the post.
[–]Rznk138 points points points 9 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
I'd say the #1 feature among those dudes is an attractive face.
[–]185poundsofhatredWIP4 points5 points6 points 9 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
But are you attractive now, knowing about all this?
[–]binarynightmare[S] 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Working hard at it! The body fat part is really what requires constant life style monitoring and a 180 of what I'm used to
[–]185poundsofhatredWIP1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I'd like to follow your progress as a fellow ugly fuck. Doesn't feel good when seemingly the only thing holding you back is your mug.
[–]binarynightmare[S] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Random aside is that I've noticed my face/'mug' getting more attractive as I do things like fix my diet and cut body fat.
[–]185poundsofhatredWIP0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
That's always good. I shaved my face clean recently, boy, what a mistake. My only hope is growing a full beard ala Bilzerian, but genetics hate me.

There is low hanging fruit, and then there is medium and high hanging fruit.
Most men can afford a gym membership, or even if they can't there are plenty of body-weight programs, that are a great start.
Most men can afford to switch from a diet high in processed/fast food, that is high in calories and low in nutrient value to a diet high in real food that is lower in calories and much higher in nutrient value.
Most men are going to get haircuts, so you may as well make sure you get one that looks good on you.
Most men are going to be buying clothes, may as well spend some extra time to make sure they fit you, and don't look like you raided a frathouse for your wardrobe.
This is all low-hanging fruit, and while results won't be instant, that will teach you delayed gratification and the self-discipline to stick with something long-term despite not seeing many if any results.
The reality is that most men aren't going to the gym, they are not working out at all.
Most men are eating a diet high in calories and low in nutrients.
Most men are getting the same haircut now that they did 10 years ago, unless they went bald.
Most men are buying the same nondescript, ill-fitting, poorly put together clothes that most other men are wearing.
Most men are flailing around the sexual market place without putting any thought into what they are doing, as they wait to catch a falling knife in her epiphany phase or post-wall so they can LTR her up and get divorced 3 - 7 years later, after she made sure she had a 1 - 3 kid ransom against his paycheck for 18 years or more.
Don't be most men, and at least go after the low-hanging fruit. If you decide that after learning game, getting in as good as shape as you can by working out and eating right, buying clothes that fit you and getting a haircut that suits you, that you really want to fix those teeth, get plastic surgery, or whatever else, go ahead.
Getting plastic surgery or other expensive measures before handling the low-hanging fruit, is like putting a new paint job on a car without an engine.

Agreed.
This is the same logic I apply to gear. I've been lifting about 3 yrs now, with some results, mostly toning, health/energy and bf. But I want another 30 lbs of lean muscle.
I'm in a place now where my knowledge, effort, nutrition and lifestyle can all be aligned to the goal. If I'm not well on my way by next summer, like 15+lbs, you can bet that I'm jumping on gear to get what I need.
[–]102117991070 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link
Nit knowing anything about you so I might be totally off, follow a proper program all the way through to the point where you're pulling 450+ and squatting 350+, then focus on volume and building muscles. You can't squat to build legs with 225lbs.
Strength first, then muscle. Naturally at least. Look at Jordan Feigenbaum(spelling eh), 200lbs but solid as fuck with huge numbers.
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
You can't squat to build legs with 225lbs
I get what you mean, but being pedantic, you can definitely build muscle squatting 225.
Try 10x12 at 225 once a week with similair deadlift volume and you'll explode.
[–]102117991070 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
You're also missing my point. A good strength base with a squat in the mid 300s will give you the ability do that amount of volume. if your 5RM on a squat is 225, then you can't do volume with 225.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You're right, but so am I. You can still do 50-100 reps at 225 in lots of 5. It'll just take longer.
Besides, nobody who has 5rm at 225 is hitting mid 300s. You gotta stimulate both physiological and neurological response at this beginner level.
225 isn't good but it's not a bad start point for volume training and volume packs on muscle.
Plenty ways to skin a cat.
[–]AwakenedSovereign0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Strength has mostly plateaued, but I had a severe case of fuckarounditis. We will see how this bulk cycle goes. Right now I'm on something Cook's muscle building program.. 4 days a week, plenty of compound movements and I'm supplementing with chinups & pullups and some accessories.
Pretty weak rn so I'm hoping to see good results.
3k a day, macros keyed in, 8 hrs sleep, no fucking weed or cigarettes, very limited alcool
[–]102117991070 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Sometimes the most effective way to train is the most basic program. Sleep, eat, and recover.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Sure you can. I got into an accident 2 years ago. Basically my left hamstring doesn't work properly anymore and I'm limited to a 225 squat and a 300 pull (one rep max). My legs are still nice and thick. I simply do more reps at lower weight and give isolation work much more attention than I used to when I squatted and pulled over 400.
You used to squat over 400. You strength base was way higher than a newbie. My comment doesn't apply to your situation.
I had a complete tear of the biceps femoris and a partial tear in another muscle I can't remember the name of, but basically the one right next to the biceps. I have part of my biceps wrapped around my sciatic nerve. I was out the gym for over a year and lost most my lower body gains. I've regained size in my legs through A LOT of hard and painful work. My strength base was 0. My left hamstring couldn't support its own weight. Lay on your stomach and raise your feet up. I couldn't do that. That's how fucking bad it was. You can gain plenty of size repping 225; I did and I highly doubt it was all "muscle memory".

i think your forgetting their energy and presence, one the most attractive male traits is man in tune with his masculine energy which strength and power.
[–]StyleandSpeed5 points6 points7 points 9 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Typically when you have all of those 7 traits then the energy and presence come with the territory simply from knowing your worth. Ask me how I know.
[–]stumje0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
yeah a guy can all those traits and if he hasn't got his shit together and insecruties, then those traits aren't as powerful,
[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I disagree that not ripped is ideal or even that 15% with a good jawline is adequate.
The ONLY time I have been attractive enough (and was a Chad at that time) to have high Smv girls approach me out of the blue with insane shit tests (i.e.: are you gay? Omg your so hot etc) was when I was very low body fat %. Not like 1%, but definitely well below 15%.
Lifting and eating well is the #1 factor to give you a chance.
If you have obvious defects from birth that hurt you, ya try surgery.
Otherwise just keep in mind life isn't fair. I am a Fuken endomorph so I have to starve the shit out of myself and the difference is stark. And while we are complaining about that shit, I had friends who were shot or blown up and died in Afghanistan in their early 20s. Shit, one of them has no legs and a barely working arm and he married a hot nurse, and I'm happy for him. Hopefully he found a unicorn and awalt does not show its ugly face.
I can go from not getting a second look from any girl around at 20%, to being full on approached by girls EVERYWhere at below 10%. It's transformative to get cut. Part of that is probably my attitude when I KNOW I am cut, but part of it is also the fact I am lucky with all my genes minus my endomorph build, but you must play to your advantages. Thus I eat little and do insane amounts of cardio.
You could maybe go for the badass biker style, idk. Try getting buff and not making excuses and see how it works out for you.
Also underrated, is the importance of becoming big in a social circle. Try that and make fwbs etc that way.
I am currently probably a bit below 15% and starting to get attention again. I will be cut again soon in a month or two and I will make a big post in trp about the differences.
[–]binarynightmare[S] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Do you happen to remember more details on your height/weight/bf when the approaching started happening? I would agree that 15% really is 'nothing special', but i was trying to be honest in my observations!
[–]iamneptuno1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Too much emphasis is put to style and muscles on this sub. The thing is, when you are attractive, it shows immediately, almost to the point where your bloody haircut doesn't even matter.
[–]chaosmech4 points5 points6 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Yeah, but since TRP is about improving yourself, and short of very expensive surgery, the only option for improving SMV/attractiveness is to lift and style your clothes... yeah that's what we recommend.
otherwise we get shit posts like yours which give no actionable advice to anybody. "How do I get gurlz?". You: "Be attractive, duh".
No, my actionable advice is this -- if you are ugly, try to fix your face with surgery. Of course it's expensive and not always possible, but life isn't Disneyland.
[–]newName5434560 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Losing excess body fat affects how your face looks too.
[–]iamneptuno0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yes, if your face is ugly, losing fat makes it even more obvious.
[–]Unread_insane3 points4 points5 points 9 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link
Have you ever considered that girls are just people and different girls like different guys? I mean it's all fun and games making up this theories but you can't realy think that there is a "hundert procent sucess method". How about finding someone you like and finding out if they like you to?
[–]iamneptuno0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link
No shit they are people, but people are still driven by instincts. Different females are attracted to a very narrow set of males. It's human biology.
[–]Unread_insane-2 points-1 points0 points 9 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
If you come with the 'it's sience argument' you better have a good study to back you up. There is not 'the one woman' all guys want, why should there be 'the one guy' to woman? If you are who you want to be, you are going to find someone who likes you for just that:)
[–]iamneptuno0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
I don't know, maybe because they are different genders and work differently, genius? You don't need any study beyond the high school biology course. Out of the two genders, which one has to spend months being effectively disabled into procreation process? Given this amount of investment, can that one gender afford not being picky?
[–]Unread_insane0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
You are saying that all woman are attracted to a specific type of man. This does not follow directly out of any gender differences. It is a very bolt statement and therefore needs to be backed up by data.
[–]iamneptuno0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
This follows directly exactly from the difference that I showed. Females are attracted to a specific type of male, which is a high quality male. Look at Brad Pitt, Lachowski or whatever -- you know it when you see it.
If you only can get pregnant roughly once in a year, you must be very picky, since it's a very high investment. You can't say, "I'll get pregnant with this low quality male today, who cares, I'll simply wait until tomorrow and try again, maybe I'll get more lucky". What is so hard to understand, sport?
[–]Unread_insane0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Buddy, I am one of these 'females'. There is no such thing as a generell 'high quality' and 'low quality' male. Don't project your insecurities on others and called it sience. Strengh, height and what not might have been important in primal time but we as a species evolved past that.
[–]iamneptuno0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
There is no such thing as a generell 'high quality' and 'low quality' male.
There is such a thing. I gave you examples, you ignored them.
Strengh, height and what not might have been important in primal time but we as a species evolved past that.
Don't be ridiculous, no species can evolve this fast.
[–]Unread_insane0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I don't think we are going to come to an agreement here. Lots of luck in your life, hope you find the right one to change your point of view.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Speaking from personal experience, the moment I got abs and hence good definition on pretty much every muscle group, I started getting SO MUCH more attention I couldn't believe it. All women like a chieseled man just as every man likes a good rack and ass even if he's more into other types of girls.
[–]Unread_insane0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Working on your self to feel more comfortable is definitely going to help. But I stil woulnd say all women like something. My flatmate is definitely into abs, I personaly per example think a bit tummy is by far more attractiv. To each their own and congrats on the gain bro.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
No woman will ever say and mean "I'm not into abs". You might be into "tummies" more than abs, but I'm sure you wouldn't mind running your hands through my torso. Coincidentally, I'm more into "tummies" myself, I prefer my women with a little butter on them, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't stand at full attention in front of a fit chick and enjoy devouring her tight body.
Sorry man, that's realy not my kinda thing. Wish you stil the best.
[–]HiDefFX0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
that 80% of men don’t lift at all
That's depressing, is that specifically for weight training or exercise in general?
[–]Redteen2240 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Bit of a random statistic. I can guarantee there are more physical people in the UK, however that includes sports. Taking out sports and running, there are very, very few people (of my generation at least) who seem to weightlift.
it's only based off observation, but I would say that only about 1 and 5 men I know or run into socially look like they have a gym routine.
[–]aherne180 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Being attractive, like others have already mentioned, equates in having an attractive face.
An attractive face is a combination of masculine features (well-shaped jaw, deep set hunter eyes), low body fat (so those features become visible).
An attractive body also has its own contribution when face is attractive already: low body fat is a must, v-shaped torso is good, muscular or lean constitution (according to personal preference). Notice I don't mention race or height (commonly found excuses by men who don't want to admit they are unattractive): anyone who has those features will be wanted above any other consideration!
I think there's a really high correlation between lowish body fat and an attractive face/head region
[–]invizibl0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Use that list as a way to craft "your"self - don't chase after another's image, using your items as boundries.
Some say you should be ripped, well to me if a woman has decided to fuck you without seeing your shirt off, then she's already decided to fuck you by the time it's taken off. Unless you have Krag the brain in your belly then you should be well on the way down her love tunnel. Just be in "great" shape, portray and active and happy masculine lifestyle - you won't be looked like some less than chump becuse you lack a 8-pack under your shirt.
Now get out there, and get tatted up - No Regerts
[–]RandomActOfGayness0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Ugh. To spend so much time on this shit is ludicrous and slightly gay.
[–]scepticferret0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You just described me to a tee. But I've been getting nothing because I had no idea what trp was and had serious oneitis. This could go good for me.
[–]MisterRoid2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Being ripped is not as important as some guys seem to think. The most important part is to have a good jawline, and most guys don't need to get below 15% bodyfat for that (if someone does, he should just get a liposuction).
Liposuction won't work if your jaw is small. Liposuction is for that case when you genetically store too much fat under your jaw.
I would say that being ripped is not as important as some guys think, but being reasonably fit (~15%) is much more important than most guys think...
[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
There is too much hampstering in here.
More fit is better unless it somehow NEGATIVELY affects your confidence.
Saying "you don't need to be X fit just be at least y.." is flawed logic.
We are in a rat race with other males doing these things. Every advantage you can get is going to make your life better. Just accept that, and move out to make yourself stronger, smarter, and sexier.
I can go from hb2-3 to hb10 and no one could even recognize me. People make too many assumptions about "chads" or good looking guys they see. Some of them have figured it out but just don't know what the redpill is..I was that way for a long time.
It was super depressing when I got depressed and fat to see my prospects dwindle.
Then I got over it, improved myself, and it all came back. It's that easy.
