Do you lift and eat well?

If yes, do you meditate? Get sufficient sleep?

If yes, forget about women for a while and try to relax. Focus on yourself and your mission.

Motion creates emotions is true. Change your habits, the daily activities you take part in.

I found personally getting busy in life to be the best medicine for depression. Pack your day with activities that are relevant to your future plan for yourself. Lift, cook, clean, take care of business, socialize. If you make these an indispensable part of your life for the next 3 weeks, I assure you that you will be amazed that you don't even have the time to be depressed anymore. This worked for me in the past, and many others.

Of course, you may have some much deeper issue. But I suggest you try this before losing hope.

Also, bringing such a big change won't be easy. So be ready to push yourself to the max when you go through this at the beginning. Feed yourself with self development material in your free time etc. Good luck.

Depression is like all things...it can exist, but you still have a choice on what you choose to do.

When the feeling pops up, examine it, and look where it's coming from, but don't let it invade your choices and actions. You always have the freedom of what you choose to do, that is the final freedom of life.

When depression comes, I like to step back and ask myself what I would do if a great friend or one of my brothers was in my position. What would I do to help him. Then I act like I'm the helper and doing things I know are good for the person I'm helping, which in this case is myself. The focus is always to make tomorrow better than today.

Do you have clinical depression? I would see a doctor.

Sleep is the foundation. Sleep early, as it is in line to your body's circadian rhythm and you'll feel better.

Also I highly, highly recommend looking up a therapist with great ratings and scheduling a first appointment. CBT (Cognitive behavioral therapy) changes lives and can help you in ways that you never thought was possible.

The book "When I Say No I Feel Guilty" has some good discussion about depression. I'd recommend getting the audio book and listening to it while you cook, do laundry, commute, etc. Good shit, it's helped me if only by understanding what depression is and the evolutionary utility of it. Also, stop quibbling to your female friends. Go see a doctor.

lift. mentally and psychically helps. you will also meet new friends in gym. lifting is necessary. never stop lifting once you start.
