I am an introvert, and I always noticed that women generally prefer extroverts. But an introvert is just someone that needs alone time to recharge and an extrovert is just someone that needs a group to recharge. Or, so they claim.

I have a theory that introverts become exhausted from social interactions because they exhaust energy trying to match their own energy to the energy of the person they are hanging out with.

Extroverts, on the other hand, are so confident in themselves that they don't feel the need to force themselves to match the energy of the people they are with.

Introverts will exhaust their own energy trying to match their energy to the other. Extroverts allow others around them to match their energy to him.

For example, if a happy introvert is hanging out with a depressed extrovert, the introvert will feel obligated to act depressed even if he doesn't feel that way. If a depressed introvert is hanging out with a happy extrovert, the depressed introvert will exhaust energy trying to become outwardly happy.

Meanwhile the extrovert feels no obligation to match his energy to the people around him.

Thus, an introvert has a beta/following mentality and the extrovert is so rock solid that he is not affected by the external moods of the people around him.
