Anyways, whenever a place messes up my order I usually will either suck it up if it was relatively minor like in this case... it wasn't even something they charge extra for. The only times I ever get kind of annoyed is when I ask for like an extra piece of meat or something that costs over $1-3 and even then the most I will do is send a message about my order to the restaurant in the app. I think I've only confronted a person in the restaurant once before and that is when they themselves made my order totally wrong getting 3 of my 4 items be totally wrong and I just looked at them and said "Seriously? You and I both know you didn't even look at the details of the order and just grabbed stuff and she annoyingly then re-did the order and I left with it.

Just today my brand new McDonalds didn't notice my curbside order I waited 10 minutes and went inside.

Every single time I get fast food they mess up, whether it's forgetting items or items being made wrong. Thankfully it's a drive to get back and that gives me time to calm down a bit. Let me tell you, I am fired up every time, and if I'm still pissed when I get there, I apologize for being angry and potentially coming off aggressive, and explain what's going on. They definitely understand people being upset, but if you acknowledge you are and you're not wanting to direct it at them, they'll work with you. I've apologized for being an inconvenience when they've been busy. All you gotta do is treat them like people, because they are, and you'll get treated the same.

I stopped eating at fast food restaurants a loooooong time ago. First of all, they're ripoffs. You're paying through the nose for very poor quality food. Second of all, they're very low skilled workers, so you can't expect much in terms of quality output. Tbf, if this is real, I hate this whole "I'm gonna look you up and find your job so you can get fired" mentality. I think it should be illegal for employers to fire employees for what they do outside of work. Especially, throwing a burger. Don't get me wrong, felonies and such are a different story.

I've spent 20 years in the Army and to see that when I leave, my work is still gonna dictate my life and every is comfortable with it is pretty sad.
