How best to navigate nightlife

I went out to a singles event, I had 10 interactions with both men and women. A few of the women I tried to have a convo with me bailed shortly with “I need to go find my friend” or bathroom. I got 2 IGs then was unfollowed when I got back home. For nightlife is it either just a) go for the vibes & nothing else, or b) escalate with a woman ( prolonged convo not jus small talk) & invite her back to my place once connection is established? It seems getting contact info usually doesn’t lead anywhere. This was my first time doing night game solo dolo. Curious to hear others experience or insight.
