I kind of have bad social skills as I am introverted and analytical. Also have a bit of anxiety.

On the plus side, I am above average in looks as I work out a lot and dress well - both of which I do for myself not women.

I am trying to make more of an effort with girls and am starting to realize I miss out on a lot of opportunities as my instinct is to shy away from girls. I am 24 and feel it is pretty embarrassing to still be shy.

For example, on Friday I was talking some friends in a pub standing up. A girl near us told me that there are plenty of chairs to sit down, which were closer to her. I just say, oh I am fine standing thanks and carry on with my conversation. About a minute later I realise she wanted to talk (probably).

I feel like I do this quite often with ignoring girls smiles or obvious eye contact or even when I accidentally end up walking next to a girl by herself. All of these are natural opportunities that I should be taking advantage of.
