If I were you, I would just make a post about it and say "Hey, I thought she was cute....went up to say hi, asked her out and she said no.....next thing I know she stalked me to get my real name and is totally blowing a minor thing out of proportion."

I have gotten BLOWN the fuck out super hard and never had a girl do anything that crazy. Did you legit do anything disrespectful here or is she really being that big of a drama queen about it?

Did you anything wrong? Just tell your side of the story you were just friendly and she creepily stalked all of your info.

Also thats why you dont post too much details online. And use different usernames on different sites.

So here's what happened. I approached a girl in a mall and failed pretty badly with her. Nothing wrong, gotta move on.

What actually happened? What does "failed pretty badly" mean? You're leaving out important details and expecting us to take your word for it that they don't matter.

Today I got a pic from my friend who follows the girl on IG showing that she posted about me. She stalked me to link my name, fb info, IG username while the whole time blowing the entire interaction out of proportion in the comments.

No way to know if she blew anything out of proportion until you explain what happened.

Still sounds like an awful situation though. :(

I live in a small town with no options to move and this was posted by an apparently really popular girl.

Why don't you have the option to move?

Already 300+ likes in a few hours. I've already gotten messages from people I know saying wtf, this can't be true, what's going on.

This sounds like a fucking nightmare.

Even though people say that what you say doesn't matter, i'd be interested in a kind of script of how the interaction went.

Personally, when a girl tells me she has BF, i'm basically out. I don't really see it as a 'shit test'.

And regarding the after effects/social media, I'd just be like ''whatever. I approached a girl because I thought she was hot. SHE was a bit awkward and had a BF so I left, and then she got all weird, stalking me on social media and trying to make a story out of nothing. Whatever. I'm over it'' kind of thing

what i'd do:

make a post on social media saying something like "so this girl i approached the other day is apparently talking shit about me, exaggerating the story of what happened for likes on social media. pathetic." just for anyone who's interested, and then if anyone you know asks you specifically, i'd say "some petty bitch I talked to at the mall is spreading rumors about me" i see that this other guy on here also said you should post about it on social media, but i'm personally more aggressive than that.

Can't help you with defending your reputation; I attack this from a prevention angle.

Prevention:

Never share social media accounts.
Never friend on facebook.
Do not give her your full name.
Take a phone number, don't give her yours.
Never mention your employer.
If she's going to find out your home address, it'll be by coming over.
