Club game is about the only game I've got, and one simple thing consistently helps me get in the best frame... This may sound weird, but get there early! Like an hour before it gets busy. Why? Because then it feels like you're the one throwing the party! You watch everyone roll in; you've gotten friendly with the staff who are smiling at you and then serving you first all night; you get to see everyone make their entrance; people check out the room, you've had time to get comfortable so you look like you own the place; you're in that sweet little spot where you can check everybody out before things get hopping on the dancefloor; you get to just hang back and pick your targets. It really works for me, even sarging solo, just then you're usually hanging out at the bar more chatting with the staff and the other early birds. Damn. It really makes me feel like I own the fucking place... like it's my party. If I arrive when things are already rockin' I feel more like one of the masses.

EDIT: Then later in the evening when it is crowded, you have social proof all around you. Lots of people will recognise you as you go around the room. It's easier to approach people because you look familiar, and if you've been doing it right friendly and approachable. Then even a really crowded place, it doesn't feel so much like a room full of strangers. And the late arrivals will stand out to you more, so you won't be as likely to miss the hot targets.

EDIT2: Another thing, a lot of times it's not the coolest people are the hottest girls that come early, but that doesn't matter. What's wrong with being the coolest, funnest people/person in the place yourself? Besides, you're not there to k-close the first HB7 that's showing you interest at 11 o'clock. You're setting up the night. Making friends, getting your groove on. Haha, which reminds me, if you go out early... pace your drinking!!! Seriously. Remember to have some water or a coke or redbull once in a while instead of alcohol.

EDIT3 (the last one, I promise): Every once in a while, you'll get to a place and it will be really dead and the staff unfriendly. If you're with a few people, just make the best of it. If you can't have a good time, why are you hanging with them anyway? If you're two people, have a conversation at least. Appear sincerely interested in each other no matter your sex or relationship. Just don't look too serious and uninviting. If you're alone, well, then it really is ok to play with your phone. In this day and age, you'd look weird not doing it. :p
