Had a very unproductive day today, and didn't feel like going out solo again. SAME OLD SHIT. I believe this feeling will never go away, but past experience has given me the insight that I should just get decked out first and then decide whether or not to go. Of course, it's a lot easier to say yes, when you're all ready to go ;-). I go out early and sober, starting at 10:15PM. My story for the night is brutally honest: I wasn't as productive as I'd hoped I would be, got stressed out, and decided to hit the bars and make new friends to destress. This story worked like a charm, BTW, so use it if you need an excuse to go out solo. I go out and I'm in quasi-state and know I need to get myself into it, quick. I see two girls and a guy talking about their friends and who's hot. One of the girls says to the guy, I think you're hot. I yell across the street, "HE'S HOT!" Laughs and a thank you from the guy. This revved me up. I see a group of guys shooting the shit with each other. I look them in the eye, smile, and say/yell, "You guys are going to kill it tonight!" They say, "FUCK YEAH MAN!" I just invented my default move for the night. I said this to at least 10 groups of people on the street throughout the night. Most reacted positively, and the trick was when I really just got crazy with it, not expecting any reaction, I always got a positive reaction. I even managed to singlehandedly engage a mixed 10-person set for 30 seconds with this "opener". After the first two times, I became invincible tonight, and really didn't care what people thought of me or how they reacted.

First club: It was a dance venue, and I walk in. Dance a little, a few girls notice me, but I'm still warming up. I chode around for a little, try to make conversation with a couple people, but no success, and I sense that the environment is starting to get me out of state, so I end up bouncing. I really recommend changing venues instead of going home whenever you feel like it's just not working out.

Second bar: I go to one of my favorite spots. Talk with the bouncer for a little bit. Everyone inside notices. I walk in, smile at a few people and go to the bartender, introduce myself, and ask for a drink. I go up to two dudes to warm up, shoot the shit for about 10 minutes, and leave. I go up to two older girls, introduce myself, and they are receptive. I banter for about 30 minutes, and could have gotten a number, but I wasn't attracted to them. I exchange biz cards instead. I approach two guys playing a video game, and banter, and I notice a few girls notice me. I leave and introduce myself to the girls. One of them is a bitch, and the other is pleasant. I try to plow with the bitch, but she wasn't having it. Their friend shows up and is completely cheery, and I talk to her for a bit. The bitch goes to leave to the bathroom and I ask her friends what's wrong with her. This is a first for me. Usually, I'd assume that something was wrong with me, but today, something changed! Something is wrong with a person that doesn't want happiness in his/her life, and her friends explained what was going on. When the bitch returns, I try plowing again, and she starts to give me mixed signals, but I lose patience and leave the set.

Third bar: On the way to the third bar, I say to four guys, "You are going to kill it tonight!" They looked young and scared, and so I assumed the role of teacher with them (fake it till you make it, right?!). I told them I wanted to help them out, but that I needed their help. I started a game for wishing everyone a happy birthday who came walking past us, especially girls. They were confused and skeptical, but the next group that came, I raised up my arms and screamed it. They started getting into it, when the realized I wasn't just joking around and we ended up getting some good reactions. I go into the bar with them, my new friends, and shoot the shit with some couples. The pickings were slim and my friends had left without me, so I bounce, ready to go home.

Fourth club: My friends spot me on the street, and say they left because they couldn't find me, and invite me to another club. Of course I accept. I go inside, high five the first girl I see, go to the back and banter with the first two girls I see sitting at the table. I wasn't attracted to them so I just gave them my biz cards. I see a wedding party, and introduce myself to them. A couple random girls talk to the wedding party and I start talking to them. After about 10 minutes of convo, one of the girls leaves and the other says she has to go in a second. I ask her for her phone number, but she says she has a bf. I immediately ask if her friend has a bf. She said she didn't know, and I said I didn't care she had a bf, and just meeting people and creating happiness is fun by itself. I told her that of course I want to meet girls, but I'm not just a shallow guy trying to get around, and that I just wanted to live life to its fullest. She liked that (started touching her hair). I hand her a card and tell her to give it to her friend. I go inside and see my friends choding around with drinks. I tell them to get their act together and start meeting girls. I see one at the bar and say, "Watch this!" I rub the girls shoulder and say "Hi!" I try to banter with her a little bit, but she doesn't care. I know what my problem was...I didn't introduce myself to her fat friend. Anyway, she starts ignoring me after a couple minutes, and I go back to my friends and say with a smile, "That's what I call a blowout!"

TLDR: I am an AFC, but I am improving! I went out solo, sober, and early. I could have gotten a few numbers tonight, and failed at getting the number of a girl I did want to see again (she had a bf). I yelled at tonnes of people on the street and got great reactions. I opened at least 8 sets where I had 2-30 minutes of conversation and probably 10 more where I just had about a minute of conversation. The only point in the night where I had hesitation was at the very beginning. All it takes are a few good reactions to get that invincible momentum going.
