Yes, women want a guy to be invested in them, but not if they're not invested as well! This is what we call "neediness." One of my major challenges in learning these skills is reliably managing a woman's investment in me while maintaining a low investment level until she's invested. This is because, as I know very well, investing prematurely TURNS GIRLS OFF!

Then, the appeal to evolutionary biology: bullshit. It has been shown that females of many species, including humans, prefer to KEEP stable and reliable males, but MATE WITH risk-taking and successful males.

He even goes so far as to say that women find a guy who is capable of walking away (unattached) unattractive. WHAT!?! The ability to walk away intact from an interaction that wasn't worth your time is a critical element of SELF-RESPECT!

In case the length of this post doesn't make it clear, I found this article to be such a piece of crap, written by such a contrarian moron, that I took the time to write this and say that it must have either won gold in the KJ olympics, or been written specifically to "break" guys in order to produce more demand for being "fixed" in live events.

Despite the evolutionary pseudo-science, his point still stands. There needs to be a balance between appreciating the woman and sexing her up. Of course, this applies to any person you're approaching, whether male, female, gay, straight, whatever. People want to feel like you're approaching them for them, not just because you want to approach somebody. But of course it's weird if you over invest yourself right away.

I used to work in sales and this is exactly how building rapport with your customer works. This stuff applies all over the place, so learn it well, folks.

I thought the article started off fairly well explaining that both man and women's natural urge is to find the most suitable mate, but it completely forgets about this halfway through the article. Women don't want a man who's invested in them because that demonstrates that the man is low value as he is not in demand by any other women. What they want is a man who's and alpha male that DHV's with an abundance mentality because they will be seen as the most desirable mate.

It's a shame that he missed that one fact and caused his article to come to the wrong conclusion as I thought it started pretty insightful.
