I don't #-close women anymore. I almost always have them #-close me. That is, I don't ask for her number--instead, I give her my number. This works because, first, I do it ultra-confidently, like I know (because I do know) that she's going to call me; and second, because I have a really memorable mnemonic phone number that spells out something perfect. Sorry, can't tell you what it is, but something like (321) MY-NUMBR, but better.
So, they either call or text it right away, which some would do anyway, or they ask whether it's real. I tell them to try me. Either way, I almost always get the number and know it's right, and I've done something memorable.
(Hint: If you sign up for Google Voice, you get to choose a number. Other services might do the same, but I don't know.)
