“Be attractive” means as many as possible of tall, well-complexioned, facially well-favored, not bald or fat, and visibly/knowably of some form of high status. Fundamentals and at least in the short term immutable. All of these things you list in “be attractive” are additional things in the bucket of “don’t be unattractive.”

Almost anything is a good alternative to pursuing IG baddie types in Miami. I’m not looking to “date” any of them and it’s still exhausting to interact with them for 30 seconds. For whatever reason the cafes by both where I usually stay down there and our Miami office seem to attract them, and they somehow manage to be even more obnoxious at 10 am getting tea or matcha in their version of civilian attire (yoga pants, $200 sweatshirts etc.).

Outcome indifference is not "not caring." At a micro level in first encounters with women, it is about recognizing that women find a man who isn't pursuing them to be (all else equal) more attractive than one who is. At a macro level, it is about caring about the big picture, and recognizing it is an aggregation of only slightly non-random individual events about which you can't feel especially strongly. A little better than one hit per four at-bats and you can play in the Major Leagues a little…

Own capital. This can be money, business equity, organizational control, notoriety or influence … but own it. Men without capital are servants and servants are never truly respected. Surround yourself with better men, and welcome competition and sincere criticism. (This is in a sense the flip side of the coin of owning capital - men without capital have to be paranoid.) Don’t react to - and ideally don’t even notice - “disrespect.” Real stature can’t be negated. Men of high stature aren’t even a…

I am happily partnered with a woman close to my age, but if circumstances were to change … why not? For every dating hazard that age mitigates, there’s another it exacerbates.

So much this. Successful guys are profoundly outnumbered by women who really dig them. You have to have bridge-troll level ugliness or awkwardness not to do extremely well.

And yet, men who commit successfully have it far better than those who never commit. You can raise the odds of success, but never can come close to assuring it. Moral of the story - life is dangerous and unfair.

Yup. Mostly. If the nature of the text is such that you're being a jerk not to reply to it right away ("hey, I just got to the place, where are you?") then reply to it right away. Nope. Very unattractive. Show INDIFFERENCE when you have a reason to check her. Nope again. Compliments and validation when deserved ought to be given. Don't kiss ass, but not telling your date she looks nice when she shows up wearing something nice is just being an asshole. Not attractive to real women of quality. Nop…

TRP gets this wrong. Supplication (paying for expensive dates with a woman who hasn't slept with you and forsaken all others) is unattractive, but so is being stingy or ARGUING about who is supposed to pay for dates. The solution is CHEAP dates, that you can pay for while retaining outcome independence or she can pick up the checks for if she feels like it.

The kind of hot 15-year-olds who pick a 20-year old loser for their first boyfriend, and not the the 17-year old quarterback whose dad is the richest guy in town ... will have two salient characterists. The first is that they have terrible judgment. The second is that between the carbs, the booze and the cigs; and their sisters and cousins and friends all getting married, they hit the Wall about 20. Getting knocked up at 19 probably seemed like a perfectly reasonable thing to do.

Love this. A poor guy animated by most any* purpose and achieving it in spades SO outdoes the SMV of someone who is solely well-off (a dentist, say). Of course, success at a lot of purposes makes you rich, so even better... *there are a few purposes that are so geeky they won't register for women, but fewer than you think. SF/fantasy/gaming is not going to get there ... but things just as dorky as SCA jousting or poetry writing or being a tenured physcist (pretty geeky pursuits) sure as heck wil…

I know many men who are married to known, admitted or probable former sluts. Every one of those marriages is a noisy, or a quiet-desperation, shit show. Wives withhold sex, harshly sarcastic and critical (you can only imagine in private), hugely irresponsible with money or kids, deliberately make themselves ugly or androgynous or allow themselves to get fat. A slut can never truly appreciate a long-term partner. Her brain is wired to seek the masochistic thrill of new sexual submission, or the a…

This is right and wrong. It is right to an extent because EARLY in a relationship ANY behavior which reads as supplicating is HUGELY beta and unattractive. Spending a lot of money on someone you just met = agreeing with every opinion she express = complimenting her excessively = letting her drone on about boring shit = letting her set the agenda for dates. At the same time, it is ALWAYS attractive to be successful (and rich is a dimension) and always SUPER unattractive to be intentionally cheap.…

I'm not at all about wifing up hos ... but I think you don't have a handle on women and how their looks trend. A top-tier sorority girl is DEDICATED to looking good, being popular and having high status. It is not something she does for men in general or any man in particular. She does it for herself, and her competitive universe is other women. And those qualities stick with her. A top-tier sorority girl no matter how trampy she was at 20 is a 95% sure bet to look GREAT at 30 and a 90% sure bet…

I'll say one under-appreciated thing about being quietly rich (or visibly on your way to quiet wealth). It attracts the BEST kind of women. Gold-diggers are diverted to the flashy d-bags. But smart, sane, future-oriented good-looking women who want to have the option to be stay-at-home moms in the magic circle suburbs, vacation first class and five star, and retire in comfort in Florida? Boy does that work.

I disagree with the premise a bit: most 30-something slutty singles won't even lie about this. They will tell you pretty much straight out about all of the Chads / fratboys / bikers / thugs / still-closeted-gay-guys / skinny emo poets living in their mother's basement that they messed with. They will Facebook friend you a day after you meet and thereby lay open a weekend-by-weekend document of their exploits going back to 2006. Blobby billionaires, at least the couple I know, wouldn't feel insecure around a ripped biker, but they would be discomfitted, because you become a billionaire out of just a HUGE appetite to have everything and it's annoying to reminded of what you don't have (a good body).

Get off Tinder/OKC (where women fantasize about what they want) and go into the real world where "tall" means "taller than me" and the average woman is 5'4" and very few are taller than 5'7". PLENTY of 5'8" and 5'9" guys doing very well. The women that 6'1" guys attract are basically indistinguishable from those that 5'10" guys attract. It is a challenge to be under 5'8", and it does give you a bit of edge to be 6'2" or 6'3". Balding? Go clean or go stubble. No fringe, no comb-over.

It's pretty darn rare for a post-LJBF girl to hook you up with her (attractive) friends. She's far more likely to poison the water with her friends, even if not maliciously. Women are HUGELY reliant on pre-selection, and your LJBF's friends meet you pre-DE-selected. (Your combining classic LJFB with exes is not helpful. There is all the difference in the world between the two.)

Looks are pretty easy. You solve for 95% of women if you are 5'8" or taller, wear 30"-32" waist trousers (34" if 5'10" or taller) and don't have a facial deformity. It's about achievements and attitude after that.

This is off base. Alpha isn't a factor of BMI or bench press. It's about being, or for for purposes of women, seeming, like a leader of men. New York is not a bad place to date white women ... it's the greatest place to date ANY kind of woman. It attracts smart, beautiful girls from all around the world, and they judge men on a sophisticated status meter where wealth, talent and potential are at least as important as looks and athletic prowess. It's not my taste ... but I kind of admire a high-quality guy happily with a fat girl. You don't understand Alpha. Alpha is status -- including but not limited to looks. It is situational. The same exact guy will be a magnetic alpha in one room and a zero in another because the women in the second room don't know who he is or have a different status ladder. An ugly guy CANNOT be "alpha" unless he has other status to compensate. Ignore this political BS. Here are the rules. Don't have sex with a girl for the first time when she's drunk. Don't have sex with a girl who wants or thinks there is a relationship when you just want a ONS. Don't have sex with a girl who won't dump her boyfriend first. The notion that "model good looks seeks its own kind" is pretty wrong. For your typical 10 women, at least half recognize and use their beauty as currency, and recognize that the efficient frontier will always like with a less-good-looking but even-higher-status man. A good portion of those who remain are simply not "tuned" to score looks above a 7 with any differential and care more about confidence, humor, etc. A good portion of those who remain from that like the power of being the stunningly…

Lots of 9s and YMMV 10s on dating sites and apps in NY, London and Hong Kong. You just have to really have the goods if you want to catch their eye. If your SMV is expressed in looks and/or high powered job ... good on you. In subculture fame or charm or something like that ... good luck.

Vasectomies are among the safest of all medical procedures. A typical mid-career urologist will have performed many thousands of them with a one or two moderately serious complications and a sub<1% rate of minor complications. The Red Pill is quite literally about women: what attracts women to men (appearing to have high status) and which women you should avoid (over the wall, single mothers, etc.). The only thing in The Red Pill which is ABOUT YOU are the mechanics of appearing to have high status.

The way you do it is to have status that trumps the fratboys and athletes' status. A certain subset of professors are quietly banging a subset of the hottest undergrads year in and year out. The owner and DJ of the coolest club in town, ditto. The guys who come from New York and Chicago to recruit for really cool employers get ONS if they want them. When Congressman Smith comes to guest lecture and there's a dinner later guess who hangs out long enough to get invited back to his hotel room. Etc.

It's their same game plan as for blacks. They deny criminality, illegitimacy, welfare dependency or lower IQ can have ANYTHING to do with the condition of most blacks. Anything that appears to be the fault of backs is just racism. And it works. Tens of billions of dollars a year worth.

Thugs get dumped for betas all the time. A woman gets close to the Wall, has a couple of kids becoming expensive and no longer comes when he fucks her drunk for 90 seconds -- all of a sudden a nice guy with a regular paycheck starts to look good. I'd go so far as to say white thug-fanciers who've stayed skinny do this 9 times out of 10 before they're 40. Fat women and blacks and Hispanics will have the option less often but take it when they do.

If I didn't make clear that consent is important, of course I should have, but beyond, you're just spewing blue pill. Women's attraction is OBJECTIVELY messed up. They will gladly blow a worthless chad when they're 18 and an almost equally worthless beta bucks virgin when they're 33 and in fear of the wall. I find this line of thinking rather beta. Who cares how much a woman is turned on by you? Women's sexual tastes are irrational and unaccountable and men should be focused on about 500 more important things. Moreover a man should enjoy dominating his woman thoroughly -- the best sex most men will ever have is when she's immobilized with her legs over his shoulders and she's being pounded deep.

Mainly, you should have standards for LTR. No single mothers, no post Wall, no one ugly. If you can't attract a woman like that for an LTR than you're not (yet) worthy of one. Get richer, cooler, better looking, whatever it takes, and try again.

Related: how you avoid a fat wife. Genetics good: she's naturally slim -- size zero to (at most) four in her 20s, skinny wrists, etc. Her mom is a six or eight at most even in her 50s. Inclination: she loves to look good and has elegant taste in clothes, jewelry and makeup. Skanky chicks think they can be hot and fat. Her friends are all slim. It's not about sentiment, it's about facts. Prenups that were properly done with proper terms are enforced very reliably. For the nth time: a properly done prenup with terms proper to your state will be enforced. This woman, on course, was at no risk: one the fundamental requirements of a pre-nup is that it be negotiated and signed LONG before the wedding date. A 27-30 year-old good-looking no-sex-until-marriage virgin is a very, very bad idea. It means she is so nuts or so bitchy no past guy who were courted / dated her would propose or honor an engagement, it means she is INSANELY picky in a way that any marriage would be a disaster, or it means she has ZERO sex drive and that ain't gonna change. Being in some top frats is a free pass to certain kind of girls, although the pass can expire if you are bad enough. I didn't have the concepts to understand at the time, but in retrospect one of the funniest conversations I had with a girl in college was her trying to explain why she wanted to stop hooking up with a guy (a friend of mine) who was a good looking guy at THE top frat for her kind of girl. The behavior she was describing seemed colossally beta to her but her hamster simply couldn't…

As /u/idontcareifyoubury me suggests, the rules have changed. First time casual sex with a girl who has been drinking heavily gives her the option to call you a rapist. And if it is sex you intend to be casual and she thinks means you're now her devoted boyfriend ... you're getting into suicidal behavior.

Many 9s and 10s, because of easy how life has been for them, are actually generous, open-minded, honest and trustworthy. And far from demanding great sacrifices from men, because they have an abundance mentality that no man can really imagine, they don't really need to demand anything at all if particular from any particular man. And while anything in life can have a price that's too high to pay, the experience of having a 9 or a 10 is something that nothing else in life can imitate.

I am a millionaire a few times over, and I don't feel any more valuable (and important ways I don't even feel any more rich) than when I made $30k a year and drove a Tercel. It's not really about money. But don't take my word for it. Go into the bar of any decent steakhouse in midtown Manhattan at 6 pm on a Thursday. Literally 75% of the dudes over 40, and plenty of the younger dudes, are millionaires. NOTHING special about 'em.

I used arena concert equipment as an example, just to contrast with OP's Guitar Center example, but here are some other industries where you sell this way. Institutional securities. Prostitution is de facto legal in the US. Law enforcement targets street hookers because they are a public nuisance (and among gays, a huge vector for STDs and HIV), and they target some of the nastiest "put a farm girl on a plane and then stick her in a closet-size room to get fucked 18 hours a day" whorehouse operators because those guys are horrible ... but pretty much everything else is left alone.

Let me talk about the flip side of the coin: business to business relationship sales. It's not (essentially) about closing and it's not about directional questions, it's about creating an alliance where your client wants to tell you what he needs and wants you to be the one who fills that need. Of course. As I said, any calorie deficit yields weight loss. But it's pretty much only carbs that cause weight GAIN. A diet should be the induction phase of your maintenance program. And that program MUST be low(er) carb or you will gain all the weight right back.

Cut your carbs. Sure, you can do other things to lose weight. ANY calorie restricted diet, up to and including 3 snickers and 2 beers a day, works to lose weight. But the ONLY thing that made you fat, and will make you fat again, is carbs. Rounds down to zero % of people gain weight because of fat or protein. A cab cutting diet is a diet that is getting you ready to maintain your weight loss, and that's the hard part.

Old money doesn't need pre-nups. Family assets are held in trusts that spouses of heirs cannot touch. Even without trusts, gifts and bequests are held to be separate property and not subject to asset division -- the only assets that lose the protection are common use assets: the main family home, a vehicle in regular use, a vacation home you regularly go to.

This is not true. The large majority of marriages by LTR-suitable men to quality women end in the death of one of them, and the man is as happy (or not) along the way as their brain chemistry predisposes them to be. 50% divorce rates are an artifact of the 75% divorce rates of men who marry badly or with poor insight into their own suitability for married life.

TRP really misunderstands this principle. Women are invisible after 50 only if they were losers before 50. The most visible women over 50 were beautiful, or brilliant, or both, before 50, and TOOK PROPER ADVANTAGE OF IT. Margaret Thatcher wasn't invisible after 50. Carly Fiorina and Meg Whitman aren't invisible. Heck, pretty much any woman who married a smart ambitious man before 30 and had his kids will be prominent in her family and community for as long as she wants.

I've known a few transgender guys. It's a horrible mental illness, and allowing them to pretend, up to a point, that they're chicks really does seem to allow them to live much better lives. Kind of churlish not to play along. The transracial thing is just fraud. Who among us hasn't entertained the fantasy that we were rich WASPs or champion athletes or combat heroes or cool black dudes / chicks? These people don't actually think that's who they are, they've just chosen to deceive.

There's a solid 80% chance this story is bullshit. Cameron is almighty in Hollywood and Hamilton would like to work again, so of course she needs to sell a narrative of their divorce which is highly flattering to Cameron. More likely to be the truth is the mundane. "We got married because he was a powerful director and I was an actress who'd gotten bored of pretty boys, just like the other 9,999 times this has happened since 1915. You want a woman with a high opinion of herself and a lot of expectations for a man -- and that characterizes women with strong relationships with their fathers, for sure. Just don't fall into the trap of thinking that blue pill behavior is how you validate her high opinion of herself or satisfy those expectations.

Being good looking is a sign of competence among women. The value society places on looks is so high that, at a certain level, a woman has to be content with underachieving if she's ugly. Dieting is free. Plastic surgery is cheap.

I am skeptical of this. In my experience, a man's hobbies of are of very little interest to women unless they express status in a rather direct way. Combat sports? You bet. Golfing, sailing, riding, tennis? If she knows the kind of men who pursue those sports, ditto. Wine connoisseur or art collector -- will leave her curious but still undecided: these are hobbies of the effete as often as as of the alpha. Music, comedy, running, soccer, biking, etc. -- all going to leave her eyes glazed.

I disagree. No one would be filing Title IX charges against a woman professor if they thought feminism were weak; they do so because they think mainstream feminism is unassailable and that society is vulnerable to another shift leftward in the Overton Window on gender and sexuality. Mainstream feminism is firmly written into law, cultural, political and economic consensus. Any movement which represented the Red Pill in any full throated fashion would be staunchly opposed by conservative media an…

"Make an ugly woman your wife / GF / plate" has got to be the worst recurring advice. Ugly women are desperate for external validation. Those who used to be ugly are psychotic for it. Cheating is a systemic weakness as a result. Beautiful women who have always been so often (but not in all cases) DGAF about other people's opinions because they've always know they're hot. That's why betas compliment / attention game works so poorly with them. Fidelity to an alpha is easy for them.

If the man they divorced was high quality in any measurable respect, they are friggin' miserable and if the divorce was their idea, regret that they ever started that ball rolling. Jocks and frat bros don't need defending, that's very true. But the negative mindset about them is off-base and destructive of good thinking. By all evidence of success that matters, they aren't a few sandwiches short of a picnic, they are the picnic basket filled to overflowing. I'll only speak of the US here ... but for women looks and socio-economic status are massively correlated. The poorer the neighborhood, the uglier the women. And very good looking poor women tend to be badly-enough brought up that their hypergamy directs them to the ghetto version of high status: criminals with tats and muscles. By the time they're old enough for an educated, well-employed man to date, they are completely ruined for decent company.

It's hardly going to touch illegitimacy. The large majority of bastards are fathered by low-IQ and/or zero-future-time-orientation specimens on women of the same caliber, who won't think to do this / ask for this. I know plenty of 5'7" 250 lb guys who are all the way bald. NOTHING matters more for them than being confident and holding frame; for them, it's all they've got. And the ones who do, have great lives, women included. And, of course, no one has to stay bald or overweight. A 5'7" guy can drop from 250 to 150 in a year of 1250 calorie a day dieting with 30 minutes of cardio a day and 45 minutes of lifting every other day. And hairplugs and wigs are there for the taking.

Well said. One of the few tropes of the feminist blogs and comment sections that TRP fully concurs with is how big a distinction there is between "nice guys" and guys who are actually nice. In terms of shitty marriages, who knows what goes on behind closed doors, but divorce has a dramatic inverse correlation to social status. That's an interesting point. I certainly have noticed that the Bay Area is really paradise for Asian men who want to date cute Asian women -- I always thought it was sort of a numbers thing (your typical Bay Area Asian woman went to a 50% Asian high school and a 30%-60% Asian college and just never got into the habit of dating white guys) but maybe it's partially about weak white men too.

Work: easy, relatively speaking. Very high percentages of the workforce are Asian. If you are smart black or Hispanic guy, the door is wide open. Social circles: harder, to be honest. A lot of things are: white women, white dudes, and white dudes' cute Asian girlfriends. But it can still be done. African Americans have their own thing on this front. Probably hardest to be Asian or Hispanic on this front. Literal clubs: really depends. Some are traditionally (and still mostly) Jewish -- if you're…

There totally are fraternities, and you should get a bid for one. Let's assume you're in New York -- it's what I know best, but there are analogies everywhere. Work: any elite job is basically frat-equivalent: prestige and pre-qualification, built-in-social calendar, and visible prospect for money and power. Just like on campus you have your "jock" frats (i-bank, hedge fund, PE) and your "good talker / intellectual frats" (Google NYC, BIGLAW law firms, consulting, writer or junior exec for a rec…

Dude. Tinder is ego-gratification for sluts, not a tool for a serious man. And seeking the interest of low-class girls in Thailand is the male equivalent of a slut putting herself up on Tinder. In many countries, questions like this are perfectly legal to ask. And of course feminists have accomplished squat by making questions like this illegal where they've done so. Your SMV does not drop if you tell her that you are a surgeon or a Congressman or a hedge fund manager, and if you say you're a gravedigger she'll assume that you work a register at 7-11. Not good.

I have zero use for most progressive thinkers, but this piece is profoundly off base. For most of the pre-"progressive" time, most men worked long hours at poorly-paid jobs/trades and hat little control over their fates, and had to spend the vast majority of their earnings on things like food and heat that cost very little now relative to average incomes. Women and non-white-men had no freedom at all. (Seriously, if your grandmother or great-grandmother is in her 80s or 90s, ask her about what i…

It's still alive. I work in finance and live in an upscale suburb. At work, male mentorship is the rule. Women in the business are a distinct minority and tend to be conservative and traditional in their outlook and attitude. Dead bedroom in a sugar daddy situation is damn rare. Even a deep-blue-pill guy knows to expect sex from a woman who's bills he's paying when she's not his wife or the mother of his children. 90% chance the dude is gay, asexual, into being cucked, or the chick is lying and she fucks and sucks him on demand but finds it easier to hamster her infidelity by telling this story. You can rescue the dinner mistake! Set or change the venue to a park or street in your neighborhood that has cool food trucks. You'll eat quickly and have the rest of the time to walk around and chat. If it goes that way organically you can go back to your place, but don't press that. Ab workouts are not only not the sole factor in getting a six pack, they are a distinct second place to reducing body fat. You could be doing a thousand crunches a day and have no visible abs, to say the least of a well-developed six pack, if you have average body fat levels. A dude who has been seriously overweight and is older than his mid-20s will have too much residual fat cells and loose skin to have a six pack pretty much no matter what his weight; those guys need lipo and sometimes skin-t…

Status is everything, game is very little, and what little it is simply leaning on how women otherwise would perceive your status. How important looks are to status varies tremendously. In an environment where power / wealth or wealth potential doesn't matter (high school, ONS scene at Club Med), looks are pretty much everything. I pity them -- white knighting is a misfire of two good instincts. Protecting the weak is noble -- but modern feminism isn't weakness, it's hubris and vainglory. Men shouldn't marry women they met when they are still on the status upswing relative to their opportunity set. If you are a good-looking baseball player going to an SEC school, you probably should marry a girl you met when you were 19, because you aren't going to have more relative status advantage, and the SEC sorority girls a jock can date are out of this world. I am in my early 40s happily married with kids to a woman in her mid 30s. Should the necessity arise, I would only remarry to a childless, never-married woman in her early or mid 20s. In a world of abundance why take on baggage you don't have to. Having someone who shares your pop culture or political history compensates for baggage about 0.001%. The only reason to marry older women is if it you want no (additional) kids. If I were in my 60s I could thus imagine marrying someone in her late 40s.…

As a rule a childless woman under 30 should be size zero or two if they have a lightweight build (skinny wrists are the key sign here), and those with a heavier build (thick wrists) should be a four or six. Add a size for the lightweight build ones if they've had a kid -- some things just don't go back into place. A woman should hit a size eight until she's in her 40s.

That's not only a feature, it's the Democratic Party's definition of fair and good. You pretty seriously misunderstand the circumstances of an attractive woman. Abundance is not an attitude she cultivates, it is an omnipresent fact of nature. She can ALWAYS get a smarter, better looking, cooler, richer man than her present partner. She is with her partner because there is something about him that compels her to disregard that abundance in favor of loyalty. Other men's attention reinforces her choice of you until YOU do something to abandon your hold on her.

Nothing is what you do. Jealousy regarding ordinary interaction is a self fulfilling confession of lower SMV. Also, the more men who want your woman, the more your woman respects you for having gotten her.

Non-slutty women can do every one of these things. They are especially prone to being rich daddy's girls unsympathetic to a middle class husband.

Status is in the eye of the beholder and seeming confident and good looking, no matter your job, certainly works for some women some places. A smart guy should have that figured out, and Hendler, easier than a dumb one, or his intelligence is meaningless.

The article is BS. Women are attracted to status. Many forms of high status are available exclusively to smart men. Any other form of high status is always going to be more easily obtained by an intelligent man than a dumb man, because the former has a superior ability to plan and execute. A women is, and should be, completely put off by a low status smart man, because that means he is a gross social defect, given the inherent advantages conferred by intelligence.

Good for her. One of my best friends became a wimpy, whiny pothead between 25 and 30, and I could bear him for about two nights out a year after that. A 26 year old knowing to bail on that shit and find an ambitious guy in NYC is Red Pill embodied. I hope she's cute; ugly girls need to go to Chicago for the same result.

Yeah, that's just as likely. When I was waiting tables I worked for a while with a bartender who moonlighted (daylighted, I guess more accurately) as a pro-domme. Her clients regularly came by when she was tending bar and, for guys who got off (with her) on really outrageous submissive crap, they were perfectly alpha with whatever girls they would be with (yes, sometimes they brought their wives!) or would run into.

Umm, two things you don't understand. First, skinny / glowing skin / neotenous / adrogynous is a very power axis of male attractiveness, because it signals YOUTH and HEALTH which is a critical evolutionary asset in a partner. See: Justin Bieber, young Leonardo diCaprio, young Frank Sinatra, 80s glam rockers, etc. Second, being a don't-give-a-fuck-about-the-rules-man guy is also a very powerfully attractive status indicator, because only someone high quality can violate the social order with impu…

and a fourth: "my GF says I can't" is a great excuse for what you don't want to do anyway. If Facetime had existed, and I had had a LDR girlfriend at the time, I don't think I would have gone to 25% of the college / frat social events my senior year that I did.

Three unrelated options: (1) May not be beta at all. "I love you" and "I'm sorry" are two of the more important jars of interpersonal grease that sustain a real relationship -- once you've been with someone for years you'll know. (2) That said, a guy can get away with MOUNTAINS of beta if he's willing to date a woman less good looking than him. In other words, beta is subjective to the SMV of the woman you're trying to get with or stay with. (3) Many women want submissive men as partners, and so…

In 2014 the average 30 year old doctor is going to be a far better catch than the average 20 year old nursing student (can't actually be an RN that young anymore). Skinnier, better dressed, better family and values, to say the least of the obvious smarter and more economically constructive. In terms of carousel history, you're probably ahead too. 30 year old doctor = 1 to 2 LTRs with betas she met in school, 20 year old nursing student = ridden it since she was 15, or already engaged or married …

It's not about options. Game works best on some good looking women because depriving them of the attention to which they're accustomed leads them to infer higher status and thus be attracted. Less good looking women don't expect attention and thus can't be triggered by artfully withholding it.

Pre-nups have been litigated, and enforced, for 50 years in the U.S. A competent family lawyer will have a file of hundreds of pre-nups which held up under challenge to use as a model. Here's the basics for a good pre-nup: (1) start the process at least nine months before the wedding date, and finish no less than six months before hand. NOT ONE PENNY of non-reimbursable expenses should be incurred on the wedding, no invitations sent out, etc., before done. (2) hire your fiancee a lawyer and acco…

Presumed paternity laws can be very shitty for some men, especially as in the OP's story with apparently horrible legal representation, but believe it or not they are asserted more often by ex-husbands in order to maintain legal paternity over children born to their ex-wives while married, when their vindictive ex-wives seek to bring in the biological fathers as the new (legal) dads of the children.

Humans are social animals. A man's reproductive value is highly linked to his command over communal resources, and STATUS is the measure of that. Hence, women are attracted to what they perceive to be as status. The perception of status differs from woman to woman and in the same woman over time, and is highly prone to cognitive error. The attraction of some women to outright assholes is a cognitive error along the lines of: "society's rules say be nice; only high status people can break society…

I knew the New York version of a lot of these girls a while back. Trust me when I say that it's 90% bullshit -- breaking down to about 45% they never got the "gifts" in the first place and 45% they were putting out for it all along. The reality is that endless giving to someone who won't have sex with you is mostly the province of betas with no money. Guys who made their money don't part with it for nothing, and guys who inherited it are brought up knowing that the lower class is on the make and…

Right and wrong. Beta behavior that one enjoys or feels obligatory certainly isn't bad, as long as it done knowingly and full recognition that it will not generate the social rewards that in reality accrue to alpha behavior. Socially-rewarded politeness and altruism are simply a sub-set of niceness: they are things that are desirable and rewarded IF PERFORMED BY THOSE OF ALREADY HIGH STATUS, i.e., a more general case of the maxim we already know, which is that, "women desire niceness and helpful…

This is kind of a collision of three things we know very well. Always safer to assume a woman you don't know EXTREMELY well will not get a joke. Women on OKC have HUGE expectations. People pay large amounts of money for weird fetishes.

3 and 11 are wrong. Women want happening places, and those are expensive and (usually) have some high crime areas too. 5 is worth expanding on though, to a general principle of an open social scene. Meeting people (not just women) is easy in New York and London because the scenes are constantly changing and fundamentally open. It is murder in Boston and Seattle because social networks are cliquey beyond belief.

Every woman has two red lines for men's appearance: the sexual red line (beyond which she can't be attracted, no matter what else is going on) and the social red line (the line beyond which even if she's attracted, she will refuse a man in order to defend her own social standing.) This is bad for you if your appearance deficits are immutable (shortness, deformities) but good if they are anything else. You can be very weird looking and plenty of women will think you're hot if you have the right a…

Dude you are taking this too personally. It ain't about you. Women are attracted to what they perceive as status. You had no status in appearance or reality, now perhaps you do. This doesn't mean you need to date a reformed slut. They are easy to identify and even if you can't a 24 year old will have 5-7 years of Facebook you can research to be sure.

I don't know. They are describing attraction, not willingness to settle. And it's pretty consistent: they are attracted to status. What looks high status to a teenager isn't what looks high status to a 27 year old. A smart chubby arrogant dude has no status when he's a 17-year-old debate captain or first chair trombone in the concert band but when he's 27 and has a Harvard MBA all of a sudden that arrogance is beguiling and his gut is a manly affectation.

Dude -- this is about as ahistorical as you can get. There are lots of problems with our present social arrangements, but the old system gamble bigger than any gamble you are taking now. A respectable man had to get married to have sexual access to a woman who wasn't (literally or figuratively) a whore, and COULD NEVER leave her NO MATTER how terrible a wife she proved. A respectable man had to counsel his sisters and daughters to stay with their husbands no matter how terrible a husband they ma…

I do not get why successful men can panic at the notion that women are attracted to them in part because of their success. Do good looking women panic because men are attracted to them for that reason? Pre-nups are perfectly enforceable if done properly. Get your fiancée a lawyer better than yours, give her a complete financial statement, negotiate the terms, and have it done and dusted before invitations are sent or a dress is bought, and you're good.

Great piece. Makes me sad at the lies that society dished out that let so many of these women get to such a twisted place that they need to be dealt with in this way. The vast majority of them should have, and could have, decently married in their early or mid 20s and now be a happy wife and mother to a productive family, but instead wasted the flower of their youth on unsuitable activities (among others, unsuitable men).

Sex with your wife is not something you earn by dieting, lifting weights or employing LTR game upon her. It is something which she should provide you as a consequence of marriage, unless she has specific and serious physical impairments. If she is refusing you, you need to tell her that it has become unacceptable. If you have stopped initiating sex, you need to start again. If she refuses you after that, it gets interesting. Some men think that they have to ask permission to see other women, and…

The sad part is that this works. There is NO LACK of 30-something guys with good incomes who have been Stolckholm-syndromed into thinking this is what they deserve ... worst part is that many of them enjoyed years of beautiful fun loving girlfriends when younger and lost the balls to stick with it.

I find that women give great advice as long as you prefix it with "have high status and ask for what you want and ..." By failing to attach that prefix though you can misinterpret 180 degrees. Notice how women rarely give advice that is defective even prefixed. "Friends first" or "take her to an expensive dinner on the first date" or "don't try to kiss her" -- you don't hear those things. PUA game works on some women because those women are prone to convert game moves into DHVs. Good looks work …

In what sense is risk and dominance not encouraged and rewarded among school boys? Sports are important in every socioeconomic strata and pay huge social rewards, and practical rewards (college admission) too. Academics have systems for rewarding dominance too, that don't necessarily get you a cheerleader girlfriend but certainly inculcate ambition and self-determination.

I agree with almost none of these things. Wrong. Unless you are insanely good looking and high status, like 0.01%, a woman who is good enough for you is one you will need to pursue. Maybe. Some of the best women are socialized such that going dutch or alternating is literally unimaginable. Dating them can be worth it, and isn't "buying love."
