The other problem is that men say they want support but when it's offered, they don't take it. Support also only gives what you put into it. If you go into it dishonest then it's not going to help much. Also, the right candidate for support is a person that also has the ability to reflect. I offer peer to peer support all the time to guys on here and if you want to know more details, DM me.

Ugh. I don't know what the huge fuss is about. I can get chicks whenever I want. You just gotta talk to them. And before anyone asks, I am 5'8 163lbs skinny fat and have a gut that sticks out after I eat like I'm 9 months pregnant. Never had a problem getting girls. I got myself a girl right now that is 10 years younger. I'm in my late thirties.

You need someone to talk to and hold you accountable. That helps more than people give it credit for.

I'm going to DM you since it seems like your open to peer to peer support.

You have to want to actually make changes and do the work. Lots of people say they do but they make up all sorts of excuses.

Yeah I'm on the other side of it now and it's been three years. I got a new gf and everything. Things are freakin good! 😌 Honestly It comes down to how bad you want to live your best life, reforging, developing the self, and doing a lot of internal and external work. Much of it is also recognizing the different perspectives available. There can be a variety of truths to one situation which is something that I think baffles people.

Listen, I've been in this same exact situation. I will send you a DM so we can talk more.

There are ways but one that goes a long way is having someone to talk to about these things. Even if it's over and over again. Therapy does help but I'm referring more to someone who has gone through this before. I'm not sure if you have any male buddies that have been there who you can lean on at this time. I will DM you.

She also decided to tell you today cause she wanted to make your father's day even more unbearable. I hope you know that...which means you should laugh at it and don't let her bother you one bit.

My opinion is a little different. I don't think you are wrong for prioritizing your parents. Women are replaceable and parents are not. BUT, there is such a thing as overprioritizing parents to the point of it being totally unnecessary depending on the situation at hand. It gets very nuanced and your only human. I'll DM you buddy.

It sounds like your in a pretty good place already. Are you social? Do you have anyone to talk to besides a therapist? Friends, family? It's hard to give you solid advice without knowing more context but honestly, again, it doesn't sound like your doing too bad. Seems like you have your feet on the ground. I will DM you.

Hmm i'm kinda on the fence about this. Because the truth is, no one could use you without your permission. Did she sometimes take advantage of your kindness? Maybe but here's what most guys don't understand. A woman can only take you for a ride if you allow them to. Period. I'll DM you.

I resonate with your post but to be honest, it seems like you're allowing her to get you all worked up. That is TOO MUCH power to give to another person over you. She doesn't deserve it. I will DM you.

I know it seems like there is no way out of this mess but trust me, this is an opportunity of a lifetime. You get to decide what happens next and rebuild yourself. Your son is not lost or gone. You will learn to go through life despite what he has done to you. I'm glad you were thinking about not being bitter. I'm not bitter anymore either. It was an honor to have gone through 14 years of family life. I got to be a dad. I got to lead my family. Many people don't even make it past the one-year mark. Why aren't you asking the divorce women subreddit? Anyway, no need to confront him about who he talks to since it's over. The only thing worth talking about is boundaries. Neither party should bring any romantic partners around the family home where the children reside. Text messages are fine but no actual telephone conversations where children can hear. It's also just courtesy and respect for all living in that household. This should be adheared to while you guys separate as amicably as possibl…

You're not a dick head for not wanting another baby. Her demanding a baby from you is like demanding it from a baby factory with complete disregard of your feelings. If we were to demand a baby from a woman she would scream emotional abuse and talk about how she's the one who has to go through 9 months of discomfort, etc. yet they have the audacity to demand it from us just because we are not the ones carrying the child inside. But hold up, our wallet is the one supplementing the child so we do …

Oh whatever. Quit getting your panties in a bunch. If she feels that way about your mother then that's on her. I don't care what my girl thinks about my mother. If she thinks she's a piece of shit, fine. But she better not say it to her face cause that is disrespectful. But her opinion of my mother, even though I may not like it, is a right.

I guess but it's not like I found her right away. It took almost a year after the court battle and all that bs. Your first priority is to create distance and not engage with the ex. Don't play her games. I remember my ex would get dolled up right in front of me before going out with her new guy. She played dirty but that's okay. I just stayed away and didn't even react. It's what she wanted me to do and I didn't give it to her. I knew the karma train would come soon enough.

I'm so sick of guys coming on here whining and acting like women are these astute creatures that are somehow superior than us. News flash: they are not. Neither men or women are. We are just different. I hate how a lot of these guys talk about how women check out emotionally before they check out physically from a relationship as if they have some kind of tactical advantage by that statement alone. Uh. No. They don't. Because the opposite is true for men. Most of us leave the relationship physic…

First off, she probably has been seeing him longer than you think. Also the "accidental" text about getting off the phone with Dave is her playing mind games with you. She wants you to get hurt. She accomplished it. Stop giving her the open door to do all this to you. Cut her off now. She no longer has access to your energy. And do you really think she's going to find someone at this stage? Yes and no. The ones she will have right now won't last. Two years at most and when she finally finds "the…

The thing is either choice could go wrong. You see I had the "pretty" classy girl mom was proud of. She wasn't hot at all. She wasn't in touch with her sexy sultry side but if it meant having a loyal wife and mother to my kid then I will be with her. 14 years later and blindsided that she cheated with a coworker 20 years older. She turned into someone I didn't even know. Came after me with full vengeance at court trying to take my kid and money even though it was her that cheated. Joke is on her…

In California you can claim the kids as dependents if you are paying child support. If you're not claiming them, check with an attorney or your local state laws.

The fact that she is doing that shows that she's not dealing with it appropriately. She is using that as a distraction. She is also doing it to get under your skin. That is her coping mechanism. Women will do things like that. It's all smoke and mirrors to confuse you and hurt you. Take a step back. In fact, take 10 steps back and breathe. Be there for your children. You are better than her. Yes it hurts. You might even cry about it. But don't let her see you cry. Don't let your children see you…

I think it's a little more nuanced than that. It's more of an ultimatum imposed by the government. She can't stay here unless she becomes a citizen and the only way to do that for her is through marriage. What are your thoughts when it comes to marriage in that situation?

My lawyer told me that even with a prenuptial, it doesn't completely protect you against paying alimony. If by the time of the divorce your wife still earns significantly less than you do, she can still claim alimony and the clause will be tossed out. The way the state looks at it is, if she makes enough to cover her expenses but still is eligible for public benefits like Medicaid, they would rather have you foot the bill then pass it down to the taxpayers.

She's trying to set herself up to collect alimony and a lot of child support from you so she can live without working. Get her ass to work. Fight for 50/50 custody. You're probably going to have to pay something because she was a stay-at-home mom, but you can control some of the damage. Speak to a lawyer. Head for the divorce already. It's not going to work anymore brother. She's done. And that's okay. It's okay that you were blindsided. I was blindsighted too and that ended up being a blessing.…

Everyone could have done things differently, including her. There are people who are very similar personalities who divorce and have an affair because the other person is "different". Honestly, it doesn't really matter what side of the field you fall on. Cheating people on all sides. She will likely miss your differences once the novelty wears off. My ex cheated and the guy and her stopped seeing each other after a year. My feeling is that she wanted a relationship and he didn't. Now she is out …

But that doesn't make any sense. So if you marry someone who is 60 and you are only married 5 years then by default you have to pay lifetime alimony? Did you have prenup? How much alimony do you have to pay? Like how many years?

If after 3 years you still took her rage bait then you actually lost. It ends up making you look more like a fool. Stop talking to her if possible. If you have kids then only talk to her about logistics and what not. You're only making yourself look like an idiot if you talk to her about anything else or engage in those battles. Not all courts favor women. She can't get away with everything. Not trying to imply anything, but I find that most of the time when women get ahead of men in court, it's…

Well now I'm curious. How did he carry himself? Why do you think she was drawn to him? My ex is now dating multiple guys on dating apps because her affair partner dumped her. Pathetic. I'm actually in a new relationship with a much younger hotty. I'm 36 and new girl is 27. My ex is 33. Independent of being with a new girl, I'm so glad she cheated and ended our relationship. The fact that she cheated diminished her value and turned me off. I would never want "that" for a girlfriend. Hell no.
/r/Divorce_Men05/10/25 09:48 PM

So what were your thoughts on him? Did you compare yourself? What did you see? Is he better looking? Younger? Etc. For me, I couldn't believe she chose that ugly piece of turd over me. He was twenty years older than us. After a year, he dumped her. Lol.

I have zero problems finding women to have sex with. No, I don't have to pay an escort, though there is nothing wrong with that either. There are some drop dead gorgeous escorts out there. Either way, you come out of pocket because you end up having to pay for the date, etc. Which is okay with me. I do what I gotta do with them and once I get tired of them, I stop seeing them. Sometimes they stop seeing me, and that's okay too. I actually prefer they be the first to stop calling. Lol.

Don't worry OP. The glow up is in part a tactic that works twofold. Trust me, I know the game and I know how to play it well (offense or defense). 1) She is unhappy and has the need to "glow up" in order to convince herself that she is happy. 2) She could sense that it brings you distress and that makes her feel validated and wanted by not only you but other men as well. This is pathetic. Please ignore her! The number one way to get under a woman's skin is to ignore them. Don't argue and engage …

I'm not sure but once the other person gets married, it is YOUR responsibility to file a motion with the court to modify alimony payments or have it cancelled all together. It doesn't just stop just because she got married.

If the income gap between you and the woman is large, the alimony clause can be tossed out by a judge. Especially if she is at risk of using public benefits like Medicaid. They would rather you foot the bill and not the taxpayers.

Take what's fair. Her next strategy will be to appeal to your emotional side and make herself seem scared, vulnerable, and timid all to make you get in your "gentleman" or "man" frame so that you don't take half her shit. Don't give into that. Take what's fair. If it's half, then half it is. You're not her shining white knight anymore.

Yup, it happened to me. I'm from California and there was more than one hearing going on that day. By that time I knew she had cheated on me because I found the evidence, and like you I had a feeling that he would show up with her to court. I'll never forget the way she walked into that courtroom full of charisma with her toy walking behind her. She was 32 and he was 51. Hardly anything to flex about. He was a fit older man. Don't get me wrong. But I am way more attractive than he is. I was 34 a…

See but that scares the shit out of me. I don't want to ever have to pay alimony, ever! She works but she works minimum wage and a California lawyer told me that even if I make her sign prenuptial, the judge could toss out the "no alimony" clause if her income qualifies her for Medicaid or any other government assistance programs. They rather I foot the bill than the taxpayers which makes sense but somehow unfair at the same time.

It sounds like she is also trying to figure out her own feelings. And you're right, it's admirable that she was at least being nice about it. The way you responded was perfect. Don't be a simp. You told her you're available if she is (which puts the ball in her court). Also, you will only make yourself available to her if you have nothing else going on. She has been de-prioritized. Embrace it though. You got to be a husband. For some, that came with being a father. A leader of the household. Embrace it all. It was an experience that came to an end and that's okay. Don't look back with regret. I know I don't. It was an honor to have held those roles. Some of those roles are with me forever. Like being a father which I could never regret. Ever.

It doesn't matter if they try to instill that women should not feel guilty. They will feel it anyway regardless of how empowered their therapist tries to make them feel. I honestly don't think it matters. You can give them everything and they will still find a reason to be dissatisfied and use that reason to support their cheating. It really comes down to the person. Think about the guy that gives her all the love that she craves and makes her feel desired and safe. These are the nice guys that are out there. They end up getting cheated on too. I wonder if it's because he is 50 and she is 32. Anyway, I don't hate her. I also don't hate him. I seriously believe he did me a favor. How can I hate my ex when I consider the fact that she was this disgusting person all the while she was with me in our relationship? She is not the prize that she thinks she is. I…

Don't give them too much credit. There are males that destroy females after sex or leave them to fend for themselves after they are done doing the deed with them. I don't know any specific creatures or examples but I recall this one huge bug in the jungle that mates with the female in the tree very high up. He uses his pincers to stab her and pin her to the branch and mates with her. Then when he is finished, he lifts her up and tosses her off the tree about 10 stories high! 🤣🤣🤣

If the regret starts after 10 years as you suggest, then I would say that is even worse for that person. In 10 years she would have aged which is going to do a number on her self-esteem.

Sorry for the personal questions. Obviously you don't have to answer. Those cheaters are still together? Have you found a partner since then? How are YOU doing?

How long ago was this? Is she still with the boss?

So let me get this straight. Mid thirties, no kids, easy divorce, now taking extra classes do something more fulfilling while sleeping at a buddy's house while you get on your feet. What a fantastic opportunity for a single mid thirties male!!! Stop hanging on to her. Let go. Let that old self die and become someone new. That person you have always wanted to be. This is the opportunity of a lifetime, don't lose sight of it! Cease it! The blank canvas is yours, now create something great with it!…

I'm actually on the fence now about this. I have a vasectomy appointment coming up that I thought I was sure about but then out of nowhere a girl pops up and is completely rocking my world. She has no kids of her own. I have one teenager.
/r/Divorce_Men29/10/24 05:15 AM

You know, I'm starting to dislike this whole "She was never yours, it's just your turn" bullshit. It is just as much their turn as it is ours. When I was dating multiple women, I was getting to know them and qualifying them for me, not the other way around. In other words, whose turn was it going to be with ME? Not, "when is it going to be my turn?".

Let me rewind. It's easy for me to say that "now". The first time there was infidelity, we cheated on each other when our baby was a toddler. We reconciled. Then ten years later she cheated again (exit affair). Kiddo is a teen now so it was easy to let go. I couldn't invest more time on my ex anyway. I was glad it was over. That relationship was killing me via chronic stress.
/r/Divorce_Men27/10/24 03:35 AM

I don't get It. How are they able to get away with so much from you guys when they are the ones that cheated? Wouldn't they get less if you can prove that they had an affair? Out of curiosity, what do you know about the person she cheated on you with? I guess my question is are they still even together? Has she ever came back asking for forgiveness or trying to get back with you?

How the F does this shit happen in your 50s!!!! I'm 35 and would never want to go through this again! If I was 50 I don't think I would ever even dream of leaving my partner. Which is why I think that most people who get together in their late forties and after are only together for the comfort and companionship. They know they are too old to date and waste more time so they just settle, which to me is an equally frightening thought.

I agree with you completely. In fact, I'm seeing someone right now as a casual thing. I guess it's what they call a situationship? I'm enjoying it and I'm staying present. Chances are we are not compatible long term (I think she knows that too) but we are enjoying our time together right now which is fine. I honestly don't want a serious long term relationship right now either. I'd rather stay single for now. But I do like female company that includes intimacy. I have a vasectomy visit coming up…

Some of these guys sound downright paralyzed. I get it. I was there. 8 months ago in fact. Wiser you say? Maybe you're right. However, the hermit is wise but still a hermit (the weird old man of the mountains). No thanks. I would rather participate in the world. But to each their own.

The most painful lesson for her will be when she realizes she had to look no further than her own backyard to see the happiness and abundance she already had. Gone now and never to return in that shape or form. Keep being a man of principle. Those men are rare indeed.

But I think (at least for me) that coming back around to this sub again and again will somehow always keep me connected to the trauma of the separation I went through. I'm pretty much coming out of the decent already. I don't look back at my 14 years relationship as wasted time. It had its challenging moments, but it also had its good times. It would be a lie to say I didn't enjoy being with my ex, even when things got bumpy. Time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time. You live and learn. I went into the dating world and started finding company again. It's been wild. Right now, I am currently seeing only one girl but I'm not sure where that is going to go yet. …

Yes proceed cautiously. Don't even trust the AP. It could be a trap. Just play your cards right. Be ahead by 3 steps. You got this. Just don't do it from a place of hatred or whiny baby type shit. You're much too good for that. Do it from a place of sovereignty! King.

Classic case of the enemy of my enemy is my friend. But you're smarter. He is only a temporary ally in this fight against your ex. You will deal with him later and only if YOU decide if he's worth dealing with. Cause you're in your power right now. The archetype of The Emperor is behind you. Use it.
/r/Divorce_Men20/09/24 03:12 PM

Let her go do just that. It's not easy to find a quality guy to have a child with. She will no doubt find a sucker that will give her a child but he is still a sucker. She will realize it and not be happy. You are the prize. Now stop simping! Deny her sex immediately! Cut her off. Even if you love her, go against those feelings. Use your logic.
/r/Divorce_Men19/09/24 06:36 PM
15

Don't worry. I was a jerk and it still happens to us. A jerk in the sense that I completely dominated and never put her on a pedestal. She always wanted for me to simp after her and I never did. It's just not in my nature. She always sought validation from me and I never EVER gave her that. So she finally found someone who did...and good for her! He can have her. She wasn't the prize she tried to claim she was. Somehow, I always knew that she wasn't. Perhaps that is why I never gave myself 100%.…

I would have more than two but money is an issue. I have other things I would rather spend my money on. For example, I'm traveling a lot and have expensive hobbies. Girls are not a priority for me. I left. I would never stay in a previously occupied space after a long-term relationship like that. It's a ghost of a place. It will only serve to bring you down (in my opinion). The act of moving also serves as a mental catalyst to "moving on" and is exactly what my brain needed in order to get over this crap. And I am over it now. 8 months past DDay.

My ex thought she was the shit walking up in that court. The judge (female mind you) wasn't having it. Completely shut her down and mopped the floor with her. They ALL claim emotional abuse. More often than not, it's true that both parties emotionally abused each other to some degree. What should be a simple transaction, she makes a dramatic Shakespearean play out of it. It used to be much to my confusion. Then it became much to my disappointment. Then much to my amusement. Now much to my... Oh wait. I don't give a fuck. Indifference. My ex got our old place, all new furniture (that I paid for), she still hooks up with AP, and yet she still tries t…

Very harsh words but well needed. Sometimes a person needs to be told with a backhand. Like the slap of a pimp.

Children can die before their parents. Also, one might even argue that it is socially irresponsible to bring children into this world in this day and age. But this has been an interesting discussion. I have no desire to continue it. Thanks for your time.
/r/Divorce_Men25/08/24 08:04 AM

The idea is nice but you said a keyword there. "Allows". Some parents aren't able to experience that deep connection you describe and they end up abandoning or murdering their own children. Sometimes it's the child that murders his/her own parents. Happens all the time. What's so incredibly fulfilling about that? OP knows inherently that he doesn't want children and perhaps it's wise that he listens to his gut. We don't need another night time news story.

Weren't you the one that said you were talking to another woman in a different country? Then you told your ex that you were going to go visit that country and she cried a little before she hung up? Anyway, don't do it!!! She doesn't deserve closure. You had to deal without it for so long. She can have a piece of that pie also. Keep going man. You got this. You are the shit! Emperor. King. Yup. That has been my experience as well. But thankfully I never got married. I don't believe in marriage. 6 months out from DDay. I'm doing good. Already slept with another woman. We are continuing as FWB. I'm still actively looking for dates when I have the time. I'm focusing on my career and hobbies. Patience is the game here. I know it sucks but it's the only card to play. If you haven't started talking to a lawyer start immediately. I also recommend that you seek therapy just to have someone to listen to you talk about everything and anything. Keep all communication related to your kids. Regardless of whether she cheated or not, or if there's a new guy in the picture or not, I don't see how you can make a relationship work with someone who is willing to do all of this damage to you. You're doing alright man. Forget those broads. Move on. Just remember that there is no closure when it comes to LIFE in general. People die every day at all ages. Think about that for a second. I'm not sure about that. He's taking on a huge risk if he even thinks about making an LTR with her. If he was smart, he would connect all the dots on what she did to me and think for himself that she will definitely one day do all of that to him. One man's trash is another man's treasure? Yeah okay. But not everything that shines is always gold.

Alright so here's the thing. I am extremely attractive in a bad boy way. I've never had a self-esteem issue when it comes to my looks. Women (and men) have also told me that I am very attractive. The bad boy thing comes from my upbringing in the ghetto so take that how you want. Your whole thing about someone eventually catching feelings or getting jealous in a FWB situation is correct. People are human after all and there are bound to be some feelings in the mix eventually. When it does happen,…

I don't see what the big deal is. I told this girl up front that I just got out of a 14-year relationship, and I am in no way trying to get back into another one. I told her that I am just open to having fun with no commitments. Guess what? She was okay with that. Pretty cool that two adults can be straightforward and establish expectations.
/r/Divorce_Men08/08/24 11:02 PM

Hell no. I like having sex. It's been 5 months since DDay and I am about to have my first experience since the breakup. Wish me luck. Hopefully it's a good experience and we can continue to be FWB.
/r/Divorce_Men08/08/24 09:56 PM

You were right. It is pathetic. But not all is lost. Sounds like you don't love yourself, for if you did, you would have never allowed for this woman to do all of that to you. A woman can only go as far as a Man will allow. Knock that shit off. Get therapy and get the hell out of there.

What an idiot to mention the bartender and how hot he is. She's obviously trying to make you jealous which means she still cares about how YOU feel towards her. She wants to see you get upset because that would confirm for her that she has the upper hand in this separation. It's an ego thing. We all have one. Your best response - Total indifference. Even if you have to fake it.
/r/Divorce_Men06/08/24 05:05 PM
7

I don't see how this is a problem. There is nothing wrong with telling them straight up that you are not looking for a serious relationship. Yeah, some do not want just casual flings and they have every right to stick to their boundaries. As do you. So keep moving and keep talking to girls.
/r/seduction06/08/24 04:00 AM

Sounds like a major red flag with this woman so good thing it's not a romantic relationship. Some guys could be platonic with women others simply don't care for it. Try it. At least you can gain perspective and learn more about yourself.

I was the man that set up firm boundaries in my relationship. I was not a doormat whatsoever. It still ended... Look, shit is going to end if it's meant to end, regardless. That doesn't mean we should take it for granted and not try our best but definitely setting firm boundaries and prioritizing yourself is the way to go. I would rather my relationship end and me knowing that I did what I always wanted to do then to look back and see that it ended and I was a complete chump.

I always knew since I was 18 years old that marriage is not worth it for a man. Having gone through a separation recently from a 14-year commitment, I can say that this philosophy has absolutely saved me. She would have taken half of my empire! But don't make the mistake and think that just because you don't marry a person means you're safe. Some states have a common law clause stating that if you live with a person for a certain amount of time, you are pretty much considered married. So do your…

Women hardly get rejected for sex. The fact that you gave in tells her you're typical of a man. You don't want to be typical. You want to be THEE man. So you reject her. And trust me she will be scorned and remember you always as that ONE man who rejected her advances. Yes I know the sex is tempting and I'm sure you felt really good that night to have her. No doubt. But the long game is important here. Unless of course you just don't care how she sees you, etc then just be one of the 99%. But I'…

Mine hasn't shown any 180 towards me but she is doing things to purposely hurt me. My response is no response and it's working. Keep going. She is putting up smoke and mirrors to confuse you. You are a man. Penetrate through all that shit with the understanding that she is trying her last sorcery on you to get you to turn back. Sex is also a powerful weapon she will use to seduce you. 99% of men fail that test and go for it because they tell themselves, "ah what the hell. I'm just using her. I n…

I was thinking that too. But then, don't you feel bad if the one kid gets lonely? They would never have a sibling to tackle life with.
/r/Divorce_Men25/07/24 03:13 AM
2

I had mine at 20. So I should not consider more kids? In your opinion? I worry that history is going to repeat itself and I'm going to end up having to go through court custody battles once I find another woman to have a child with. It seems like relationships always end with infidelity these days.
/r/Divorce_Men25/07/24 02:24 AM
2

I'm 35. One child. Should I get a vasectomy? Part of me wants a daughter. But since I went through a bad breakup after 13 years, I feel like I am jaded and I'm not sure I ever want to be in a long committed relationship. Thank God I was never married.

I guess this is what I have to look forward to. 5 months out and I was talking to some girl and it felt completely weird. I couldn't help but zoom in on all her flaws physically and mentally. I feel like a jerk. But hey at least you're able to get ONS. I've been out of the game for 14 years and don't know how to even start or approach.
/r/Divorce_Men24/07/24 05:03 PM
5

She will regret it.
/r/Divorce_Men24/07/24 02:16 AM
5

It wouldn't have mattered. I was very much in my masculine. Still didn't work out. But I don't regret at all being in my masculine cause she would have taken complete advantage of me if I would have yielded. Now in retrospect, there are some slight changes I would have made, but never sacrificing my purpose and my masculine. NEVER.
/r/Divorce_Men24/07/24 02:15 AM

Does she do well for herself financially also?
/r/Divorce_Men24/07/24 02:08 AM

Because separation just happened a few months ago and as soon as it happened, these changes within me started to occur.
/r/Divorce_Men23/07/24 01:52 PM

I'm a believer in commitment but not marriage. Never got married because I knew I could possibly lose a lot if crap hits the fan. 13 years later it did. Thank God I don't owe any alimony. She can't touch my stuff.

If only we could all get together and have a drink. There would be so many laughs. I'm sure there will be some crying too but mostly laughs. Keep rocking on!

Unfortunately, no one can tell you how to get her out. At least your able to get girls. I don't even know how as I have been out of the game for far too long.

I'm 5 months out too. I am alone in a big house right now. I miss my family, but I also know that what happened is for the best. I wasn't married but I visit this sub because her and I were together for more than twelve years and it certainly felt like a marriage. We had a child together too. Anyway, life goes on. Feel the feels. Keep your head up and on the lookout sailor.

Personally, even if they do show remorse, I wouldn't recommend reconciliation. It rarely, if ever, actually works. Her remorse could also always be fake. Add to that the fact that you will NEVER get over it. Trust me. This will eat at you for as long as you remain in the relationship. Just save yourself the trouble and walk away now at 42 years old. Your still in a good age bracket to find someone that will give you the love and loyalty you deserve. What are you going to do when she pulls the sa…

Forgive yourself for any part you played in the unhappiness of your relationship. Notice that I said "unhappiness" and not "downfall" of your relationship. If you are saying that you want to get to a point where you can forgive her, I would say just stop focusing on that. It will come when it comes. It could be 3 years from now. It could be 10 years from now.

Your right, what she is doing is pathetic. She is pathetic. What a huge turn off. Good luck out there lady. You definitely aren't no prize.

4 months out. I asked my son if he wanted to buy mom a birthday card with a candy to go with it. He said no and that he would make her a card at home (where she and him reside). Not sure if he ever did but I at least did my part since he is too small to purchase anything. I did NOT text her to wish her a happy birthday. No need.

By all means care. As the mother of your child, you can and you should. But she doesn't have to know that. And showing that you care depends on the circumstances as well. If I were you, I would not have inquired why she cried at all. Cause I would have already known it was a tactic. However, if she would have been stranded on the side of the road and called me for help, my first question would be, "is my child with you?" If so, then I go help. If my child is not with her (maybe the child is at G…

I laughed when I read the part that she cried before hanging up the phone. I already knew she did that on purpose so you can hear it and then ask her about it. She knew it would spark your curiosity and her plan worked. She probably regrets the termination of the relationship or she wants to validate her ego that you still care (which you obviously do). She won this round.

Thank you. It's a conscious effort. It really is a choice. A shift in the mind when you find it going another direction. You keep doing it until it becomes normalized. I hate dwelling on things I cannot control. It's a waste. Could have, should have, would have regarding the relationship. Imagine if we were only together right now how different things might be, etc. All just a trap. Screw that! Remember that you are the King to your own Kingdom (your reality). You hold the keys. You are the empe…

I'm 35. I get randoms still. And I have been asking my doc to rx me some cialis cause I don't trust HIMS. However, I also fear that I will get use to taking cialis and will not be able to function without it. Jesus, this is going to be a s***t show.

The ones I'm attracted to already have a bf (or so they say) or they are not interested in me. The ones that are interested in me, I find repulsive.

What apps have you tried? I tried bumble but all I have gotten was like an average of 1 like every two weeks. And they are physically unattractive. I can't even fake it. I rather just not talk to them at all. Are you just going out with anyone no matter what they look like? How old are you.

How do you guys meet a new woman? What did you do? How did you approach? I'm 35 and have been out of the game for too long and I am worried about this part.

Screw that. That is exactly why I specifically told my ex not to talk to me about anything unless its related to my son. I don't even look at her if I don't have to. It's like she doesn't exist to me. Now, that is not to say I don't struggle with the aftermath of this breakup. I do. But probably not as much as many of the men on here. I wasn't IN LOVE with my ex. I just cared about her A LOT.

It seems like no matter what you do, cheating (or the breaking up of a relationship) will happen. I am the one that taught my SO how to cook. I cleaned, did laundry, took an active role in my child, and still worked full time and went to school at times while she only had to go to school. I made sure she did her fair share of the cooking (once I showed her) as well as cleaning and laundry, I did my hobbies outside when I wanted, I was always home with them on weekends or we were always out as a …

It's interesting how many guys on here say that they now have the freedom to do what they want. They don't have a "boss", and blah blah blah. I cannot relate. I have always done what I wanted. I WAS the boss. I never allowed her to run the show, at all. Still got cheated on. But at least, I didn't live the whole "happy wife happy life" crap. I always thought that the guys who live by that statement have been castrated.

Help me out here. As I "sift through the garbage" looking for that one woman, I always find myself looking for physical attraction first and foremost before looking for the personality traits and values that I admire. People tell me looks fade but I want to be sexually aroused by someone and looks do that for me, never their personalities. Is that normal? Am I being a d**k?

I don't know but I wish I had someone to be intimate with again! I'm 4 months out and the anxiety of approaching women skyrockets as I have been out of the game for too long. I guess I will have to cross that bridge eventually. I'm sure I will crash and burn a few times. Right now I'm just jaded towards all women so perhaps it's not the best time to get out there.

I hear you and I have felt that way at times (even today actually). Not that AP has been introduced to my kid just yet, but it is inevitable that AP or someone else will eventually come around. I don't feel like I will be replaced as Dad which has been the major concern among the men in this group. But the whole "riding off into the sunset" thing is what bugs me even though it shouldn't. When I get to thinking these thoughts, I remind myself a million times that my brain is just thinking all pos…

I would leave. Here's why: Making friends might be risky because she will have the ability to put them ALL against you. You see her and her AP all the time and it crushes you (rightfully so). Mental Health is deteriorating at this point. I honestly can't believe you are still going to that gym where you constantly bump into her and her AP. It all just looks like a circus from where I stand. Forgive me but you all look childish doing this! I am 4 months out and moved out of our shared living spac…
