Women don’t care about where you live, what your job is, or whether you’re a virgin. You’re thinking about how you can meet a given girl’s imaginary standards which tells me you haven’t read enough of the sidebar. What matters in this scenario is IF this guy will be a good roommate (i.e.) takes care of his shit and doesn’t make it your problem. Saving money is great, but if this guy’s going to drag you down then buy your own place

You’re applying male thinking to females. Girls don’t see a 9 guy and a 5 girl walking together and thing “wow, what a loser”. They think “oh, I can steal him”. They want to be wanted by men that other girls want. It doesn’t matter what these girls looks like, but the more the better.

Black pill philosophy does a good job of highlighting hierarchies and pushing people to accept hard truths. My issue with a good number of black pillers is that they hyper focus on the concept of a general hierarchy and oftentimes use their deficiency in one area as an excuse to give up over all. “I’m not tall, so I’m unattractive”, “I’ve been stuck in a shitty job, so I won’t ever be successful”, etc. black pill is accepting hard realities but also understanding that there are areas you have st…

Most girls suffer from main character syndrome (a.k.a solipsism), which means they cannot be bad people in their own minds. Everything they think and do is to preserve the truth that they are right and good. Honestly, this extends to most people too which is why most the world is insufferable

It’a never going to be one factor. Part of the feeling will be your own disinterest (both biological and behavioral). You’ve been successful in your hunt and now you want to rest, so to speak. Then there’s the girl. Sex to her can mean a host of things and she’s acting accordingly. Maybe it’s an oxytocin dump and she’s in “love”. Maybe she feels gross for having a one night stand and she’s taking it out on you; or she’s trying to force a connection to convince herself it’s not a one night stand.…

You’re 100% right. I’m a marketing manager at a large online retailer and the focus of ads is always the product or the lifestyle your customer wants to emulate. I will say, “inclusive marketing” is the hot thing right now and I’ve seen multiple campaigns edited from their original state to specifically include varied people of color. Just yesterday a new team member asked me if I can add more body diversity and ability diversity to a campaign I’m launching. I acknowledged her feedback, but it s…

This is the Taylor swift “controversy” in a different flavor. Not an important piece of information to know, but the gist is: a record label bought her contract and she started a social media campaign to pressure the label into releasing her. The court of public opinion is toxic and it’s being weaponized into a WMD.

I skimmed parts of this & your responses and it’s clear that you have a destructive attitude. If you don’t change the way you see the world and those who live in it you’re going to continue being unhappy. Look inward, stop asking what you deserve from the world, and start working on what the world deserves from you. (Hint: a man).

It’s a tough lot, but the answer is probably that you have unresolved emotions stemming from your previous marriage (and perhaps earlier in life). To stop give up your emotional center, you need to place it inside yourself.

It’s only hypergamy if you have multiple oneitis’ and you view each as successively better than the last. I’ve had oneitis a handful of times. Some have checked a lot of boxes, some have been absolute mistakes and I questioned why I cared about a girl who didn’t impress me intellectually, sexually, or really in anyway. In my opinion, oneitis is not a kind of hypergamy.
/r/askTRP09/06/20 07:40 PM

I think oneitis is the result of insufficient care provided during childhood. Oneitis is placing your emotional well-being in the hands of another. It doesn’t relate to that person’s inherent qualities, but rather often inflates their qualities to match the emotional value you’ve placed on them.

the last thing is that it makes me nervous to even ask a controversial question like this... Right there with you. The Overton window defines the range of politics that are considered “acceptable” in the mainstream. Right now, issues like men’s rights or men’s health aren’t contained within the window, so you’re out of luck. It’s not 100% accurate to say no one cares about men, but it’s certainly not popular.

Just as a general piece of advice: people who are typically anti-anything do so at a macro level and because they’ve got personal problems they’re avoiding by being a crusader. For the hardcore racists, ignore them and do not engage. For the soft core racists who drop bigotry now and again, understand that they’re parroting some opinion they heard and aren’t thinking critically. Not everyone has the capacity to form their own opinions; you can’t condemn people for that, but you can set healthy b…

Right. So the AG who dictates charges should not overreach. For example: let’s say two guys get into a fight and one accidentally slugs the guy in the nose and kills him. If the prosecutor goes for Murder 1, the guy is going to get off. If he goes for murder 3, the guy may spend some time in jail. It sets a constitution-breaking precedent if people start getting convicted by the court of public opinion. This is the part of politics which is good to understand.

Yeah police brutality is a serious issue, but that’s true no matter what color you are. The sad thing is they’re now overcharging the officer and the officers present at the scene because of the protesting & riots and there’s a real possibility that he doesn’t go to jail. If that happens, it’s going to get bad.

I care about it. I’m not an activist and I don’t go around demanding people agree with me, but policy affects me and I feel justified having an opinion. That being said, never talk about it. People tie their emotions to single black or white issues and it can get ugly quite quickly. 48 laws of power covers this topic. Feel free to think whatever you’d like, but practice nodding and smiling a lot.

Get a job, doesn’t matter if it’s minimum wage, the point is you need experience and capital. Experience will help you get better jobs in the future and teach you what it’s like to work. Capital can be used for investments. You’re likely not going to have a ton of capital, but download Robinhood and start reading investment subs/articles. Truth is, if you want to be vulnerable, you need to get a therapist. You have to remember that most people aren’t equipped to deal with their own problems and have intense aversion towards hearing other people’s (regardless of how close you are). Really. It sucks to hear, but men aren’t geared towards this kind of communication and women are empathetic towards other women and children. It’s one of the downsides to being a man, but it can also be a source of great strength.

My advice is going to depend on your personal goals and what type of school you’re at: If fraternities carry social favor in your school, you should focus on being memorable to the brothers. Best way to do this is to show up with a bunch of attractive girls consistently. If fraternities don’t carry social favor or you don’t want to join one, do whatever you want. Just know you are deep in territory where there is an established hierarchy and you’re in effect an omega. Source: I was in charge of …

I have a female manager and she is fantastic. Hard working, has my back in escalations, and leads the team well. Contrast this to my first manager, a guy who was stuck at the same level for years, barley showed up to meetings, and had the backbone of a squid. Marketing btw.

Can you give me an example of a back channel? I appreciate the tactical advice and I’ll keep it in mind for the future. One of the issues is softlines (where the majority of influencers and related projects live) is 95% women and so in these bigger meetings I’m often the only guy. All the answers here are spot on. Just want to mention that this sounds like a sampling bias - most girls who ask strangers on the internet to rate their appearance are likely the kind of girls to be insecure enough to get piercings/tattoos/dye their hair.

people ask the cheating question a lot here. My two cents is if you do it once, it stays with you forever. that being said, you're probably too young to get into a committed relationship unless there are religious concerns or she's the hottest girl at your school. You don't sound thrilled about the idea, so sit down and have a good think about what you want the rest of your high school experience to look like. Once you have that locked down, write out the steps to get you to that experience.

Think about this from an evolutionary standpoint: If the size of a guy’s penis was the only way to get laid, all guys would have big penises. Good looking guys can get laid, smart guys (re: successful) can get laid. Muscular/big guys can get laid, etc. You’re best bet is to fill as many “success” categories as you can. You should focus on the categories you can actually improve.

I was a rebound to a girl recently coming off from a 5 year LTR (they were engaged toward the end). Anytime you’re seeing a girl coming off an LTR, you are the rebound. That being said, if you don’t get overly invested, the only real danger is she’ll be a delicate plate. Girls coming off LTRs have preset notions of comfort/shit test levels, so expect a higher degree of comfort while at the same time push boundaries harder - they’re more difficult to plate because they’re farther removed from what…

Women are sexual selectors, which means they are inundated with options. They’re also hypergamous, which means they want the best option available at any given time. The natural conclusion of these two facts is that women disqualify men as sexual partners. Once disqualified, no reason for her to root back through the trash.

Start a work out plan (~days - week) in the gym and keep at it for 1 month. It’ll be hard at first, but I guarantee if you make a real effort with weights, you will feel better. It’s counter-intuitive, but a large part of most guys’ mental issues stems from not exercising enough. That’s why everyone here pushes lifting so much.

The biggest impact of lifting for me is setting goals, seeing real progress against those goals, then increasing said goals. Very few things in life are as simple as progress = work put in. There’s tons of subjectivity with work, social status, women, etc, so to participate in an activity that’s basically 1:1 with hard work : progress gives me a sense of control in this chaotic world.

Politics are how we interact with each other on a macro level, while TRP is a prescription for how we deal with each other on a micro level - might be a lot of pushback to this, but if you accept that TRP is fundamentally about improving yourself, then it’s inarguably a philosophy rooted in individualism. Meanwhile politics is a series of experiments we run on ourselves in order to figure out what the optimal way for human beings to interact is; be it monarchy, oligarchy, democracy, republic, au…

I think this is why this and the main sub matter. There are no support groups for young men who are abused by women growing up, so they lead broken lives until they: a) die, b) hurt people, c) hurt people and then die, or d) find some way to heal themselves. Right. When a girl directly approaches you, she’s switching to a male mating strategy (initiation) rather than a female one (iois). Typically, high smv women don’t need to do this. Treat yourself like you have inherent value. Don’t have any details about you, so you may need to do some introspection beforehand. The impression I get is that you look outward for validation. First step in the hero’s journey is crossing a threshold. In fiction it’s usually a physical change, but in life it’s an epiphany of some sort. for example, a lot of guys find TRP because the blue pill fantasy they’ve been told and reality cannot be reconciled - they might find out about hypergamy or “she’s not yours, it’s only your turn” and then they start to cross over into a world where things are different (it’s a perspective change, but arguably more meaningful that a physical one). Yeah. It’s called social conditioning and it’s the way it’s always been. Hence TRP is also called being “unplugged”. People are pack animals, so individualism isn’t our default setting. It’s hard to see things as they are because it intrinsically separates you from the tribe. It’s also the core idea behind the hero’s journey mythos and sometimes the only way to save the tribe.

Slowly disengage and hang out with other people if you can. You’re correct that this relationship is unhealthy and sounds codependent (Goldwater rule aside). It also sounds like she may be in your primary social circle, in which case you’re going to need to go out solo and make more friends. She sounds dangerous so you should act like nothing’s different, but ALWAYS be busy/have something else going on, whether it be a new hobby or you just making things up. Don’t shit where you eat. The title says it all: “Are men intimidated by highly educated women?” In other words, highly educated women (I suspect like the ones who came up with this hypothesis) aren’t getting the attention they want, and so the hypothesis is that men are the problem. A key component to being a strong man is risk-taking (e.g. asking for a raise, escalating with women, leaving comfort to chase success). You can mitigate risk by doing things intelligently, but the only way to do these things intelligently is to begin my doing them poorly. A key trait about solipsism is that a women’s reality is defined by the way she sees the world. That means that even if some women wanted to get together and discuss the reality of sexual dynamics, it would be disjointed as hell. That being said, “call her daddy” is a barstool sports show which features two women saying whatever weird sexual shit comes into their minds. Worth a look if not to lament where the world is headed.

Nihilism is a BAD philosophy. There are no true nihilists, because the end result of thinking nothing matters is death (if there is no value in any action, then why eat? Why exist?). A bit of nuance here: Currently, there’s a monopoly on the product (i.e. unless you play the game, you can’t have sex), which can make it artificially scarce. Think about a product like diamonds. Women are very emotionally invested in the present, so when you do anything that can be construed as sexual they will entertain the idea. This response tells me you need to read the sidebar. You can only disrespect someone worthy of respect. Has this girl earned your respect by demonstrating virtue? Living well? Accomplishing lofty goals? — or did she send you a waterfall of (clearly manipulative) text messages in order to get you on the hook? You decide who’s worthy of your respect.
