I know see a doctor isn’t what you necessarily want to hear, but look up the biote pellet. I had low testosterone, something a lot of doctors don’t test for. I got the pellet along with reducing my work hours and my sex drive has been way way better.

Seriously getting over the relationships that never happened are the worst because you have no data, only the fantasy of what could have been. Chances are dating him would not have been anywhere nearly as great as you thought it would be. I had the biggest crush on a guy I worked with in my early 20s. We hooked up a few times and since he knew I liked him he kept me on the back burner for in between girls he actually liked. We didn’t see each other for a bit and then I saw him again through work…

I did something to my knee recently and I have an appointment with an orthopedic tomorrow am. I’ve been an athlete my whole life and I’m fairly certainly I tore something (most likely meniscus) because I can’t walk without pain/clicking. I work on my feet and I cannot afford to be out right now (I’m a costume designer, I need to run up and down stairs to storage and do fittings, and I have a show opening in a few weeks). So my bf was like “ask the dr to give you some pain meds” because it’s also…

I just posted a stupid cute story in another sub about a girl flirting with my bf and of course people looked in my history and gave me crap about FDS. And one girl told me that what we look for in a relationship is extremely toxic and I need to get out of there or things won’t end well. I checked out her post history, girl is 19 and posting about her toxic ex. Another person was a hs kid. Just remember who is behind the comments lol.

Yea I tried to go back and find it and atleast a preliminary search didn’t bring it up. I know the picture was her engagement ring with a rose.

I can speak for myself and my partner…we both gained weight since getting into a relationship. Mostly due to life circumstances, he got injured, I got Covid…but also comfort eating. We’re working on it though, we started picking a hike to do together every weekend. Hopefully we can get back to our previously fit selves!

Not all comments of course…but there are quite a few. I also have it set that reddit comments are sent to my email, so even if they are deleted by a mod for not being helpful or appropriate, I can still read them. And there is alot of negative stuff in there. This could be bots, male lurkers or newer users who don’t know the rules yet…but I still see the barrage of negativity. It’s also hard to communicate context in one small post too. There was one post where a girl talked about her engagement…

Yea it’s more like if I post anything positive that my bf did or another male did it’s immediately like “that should be standard, why are we congratulating this??” Or a list of all the things that could go wrong. It’s sort of exhausting. I’m a member of this sub so I can continue to vet, I don’t need a reminder every time I post something positive. I get that there is concern, but sometimes it comes across and jealousy and bitterness. I stay in this sub because it reminds me to be appreciative o…

As the other poster said…it’s because he wants to keep the ex in orbit. She can go to a therapist. She doesn’t need to go to home “because she’s lost in life”. Absolute bullshit. Just like the girl who needs a ride, needs someone to fix something at her house, needs help with a recipe…she was able to figure these things out before him she can figure things out on her own now. What do you want to bet he texted her first?

There will be a point in the future where future you will thank past you for this decision. It’s going to hurt, but it will hurt a little less each day. Luckily you didn’t have kids and didn’t have two much intertwined so hopefully the moving on process will be expedited. Work on you, take care of you and enjoy your new found freedom!

Yea I had to have a few surgeries. Endo is a real bitch. Sometimes you can barely have any visible implants and be in excruciating pain. My friend just had a cyst removed and when they went in she had stage 4 endo and literally had no symptoms (other than symptoms caused by the cyst). It’s really nuts.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy30/03/22 12:31 AM

Even when removed properly there is a very small percentage that will have grow back. I was in the small percent and mine grew back 4 damn times, so I have to take hormones to stop my period so it doesn’t grow. After I have kids my uterus is getting an eviction notice.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy30/03/22 12:28 AM

Yup. I took me about 4 years. So many drs. They knew “something” was wrong but couldn’t pin point it. By the time they operated my Fallopian tubes were completely shot. 5 surgeries later I’m still trucking along.

God I need another rabbit hole like I need a hole in the head. Birth control has some pretty messed up history too, I remember some documentary saying they tested it on men or would make women in the study give it a top rating because they didn’t get pregnant even though they had horrid side effects.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy29/03/22 02:39 PM

Ha I know right? My bf’s cousins gf has a lot of endo symptoms, she’s in her early 20s and has the exact same symptoms I had in my 20s…anemia, exhausted, can’t put on weight, tons of pain. She has really crappy health insurance and is having a horrible time getting any kind of treatment/relief. It breaks my heart because I’ve been there, crying in drs offices to drs who wouldn’t listen and kept telling me nothing was wrong.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy29/03/22 02:38 PM
58

Right. How about we focus on all the things we don’t know about the disease like what causes it and how to cure it. I have endo which is where I found that image and the best fox is hormones. Lord knows what that’s doing to my body in the long run, but I need to be able to go to work, so it’s what I gotta do. Most doctors figure as long as there’s a bandaid on the symptoms your fine.

The girl with dark hair has like the best hair I’ve ever seen!! It’s so thick and luscious!!

Also…do either of them work? Like how can you work out 3x a day and have a job unless your actual job is being a trainer? Damn I can barely get in one work out a day.

13

I totally agree. She has one video where the dude showed up at the restaurant in PAJAMAS. And her point was well I’d rather have atleast someone to go out with than no one. Most of us here would choose no one, then go out with the dude who can’t even be bothered to shower and put on a pair of jeans. She’s just not there yet :(
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/03/22 05:16 PM
16

Yup. One of the points she makes (not sure if it’s this one or the follow up) is that as women we are told to have high standards, and that can lead to a very boring, solitary life. And I don’t think she is wrong. But most of us here are ok with that. That is we decide the requirements to ride our ride is X amount, and most dudes don’t bring X amount to the table, so we are ok with just not having a dude in our life. I don’t think she is there yet. I was absolutely her for the lost part of my 20…

Yes I don’t mean her any ill will by posting, I more identified with her cause I’ve absolutely been there!!! I’ve definitely read into things way too much, spiraled, blocked and unblocked. And when you hear someone else say it your like wow…it sounds insane. She reminds me a lot of a girl my bf works with. My bf is just really friendly and would grab coffee for his office staff every once and a while and one girl turned him getting coffee and being generally friendly into his undying love for he…

It made me crazy how many reg flags there were that she just ignored. The “no social media” one is so obvious!! It killed me that when she found the other woman she couldn’t accept that was his gf. She kept giving him an out that he didn’t just cheat on that girl by my saying they are “important” to each other, yet her friends are like they are in a relationship. Mind boggling.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/03/22 01:37 PM
38

She really is gorgeous. I don’t get where her mindset of I don’t have pretty privilege comes from. I feel like she looks that good because she doesn’t have a man and kids draining her life force lol.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/03/22 12:22 PM
27

Sorry I didn’t mean to mislead with the title but the reason I chose that is I felt like how she talks through the situation is how a lot of us in our pickme times end up in the situations we end up in. Especially when she says that he left her house fed and moisturized. I was like girl…he did NOTHING to deserve this treatment from you. Literally nothing. And what killed me in the update video is she found the gf or partner or whatever and talks about the reasons she is better than her and why t…
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/03/22 12:20 PM
41

I know this is a long one but if you have a long commute and like to listen to story times…this is worth a listen. We have all been her. And there are so many points I want to take her shoulders and tell her to kick this guy out. There is also an update that is worth a listen where she talks through her decision making and shocker, the dude in question has a model gf of over a year but told her she was just a friend.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy23/03/22 10:11 PM

This was my bf too - we met at work and he waited until I left to ask me out. Now he asked me out a few days after my last official work day so he didn’t mess around but I was technically a higher rank than him and he said he didn’t make a move because it would have been inappropriate (which he was right).
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy22/03/22 07:15 PM

Ok, so I went down the rabbit hole of this profile. For one, he’s in recovery (which good for him) but I don’t take his memory as fact. Also the “boys” are in college. So if you were that concerned about your wife’s attitude affecting your kids…the ship to address this has passed. Shoulda been dealt with YEARS ago.

Lolol I thought he was going to say something about if he says he can’t afford to take you to a nice place but owns one of those chairs he’s full of it because those things go for like 1k and up.

Yea I’m a little confused on that element of the story if they were at werent engaged. I think he proposed but didn’t want to except until she told her mom? I’m not sure.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/03/22 01:23 PM

Exactly. This is my only and true account of what happened and anyone else’s account is a lie.

He posted a text from the MIL where she was losing he sh*t on him and he was like “woah calm down I don’t know why you are so upset!” And it just gave me very narc vibes, like how they push push push and then act surprised when you finally lose your mind. Plus why post that for everyone to see? What is the goal of doing that?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/03/22 07:13 PM
15

I read through her other posts and the ring he bought her was from PANDORA. Where the most expensive “engagement” ring is $160. Buying a ring from Pandora screams I don’t want to marry you, but I’ve got this back up because I know you want to marry me and might try to do something crazy and leave me over it, so let me get this cheap ass ring to throw at you just in case.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/03/22 04:24 AM

Exactly. He’s trying to make it seem like they got mad at him for sleeping in the couch during the day? I almost feel like he’s an alcoholic who was sick from being hungover and was up partying which is why he needed to sleep the next day.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/03/22 07:37 PM

Ayup. He’s trying really hard to paint a picture that he’s the victim. I would love to hear her side!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/03/22 06:42 PM

I have a friend who has the WORST taste in guys. She kept pushing her student teacher at me who was fat and balding, so I gave him a chance and the a-hole cheated on me! She then tried to set me up with a creep friend of her husbands and I finally told her she was fired from trying to fix me up.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/03/22 06:31 PM

I knew a couple who adopted the joker/Harley aesthetic as their entire life and it was super bizarre. First…it’s really unoriginal. Second…that’s a hella dysfunctional relationship your idolizing there Third….develop your own personality instead of stealing one from a comic book. They broke up and of course she came out with a bunch of stuff about how abusive he was which off course is not ok…but we all saw that comin.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/03/22 06:24 PM

I love how he says all these girls know it’s a casual thing but get mad and leave as soon as they hear about it from molly. So they clearly don’t know it’s casual. Good job Molly.

Apparently you have to do it by a certain age (this is the 80s we’re talking about too) he said he remembers his mom rushing to get it done because he had to have to changed before he turned 9 or 10 and he was coming up on the birthday.

I think I read that story too! She told him ahead of time he better not dare and he did it anyway. I think she was asking if she was AH for making him miss the birth but the resounding response was uhhh no, he made himself miss the birth by being an idiot. I know stressful times brings craziness out of people but I couldn’t even fathom my current partner doing anything like this. He’s so concerned for my well-being all the time (to the point where it can be a bit annoying at times!) that he woul…

It seems like if your married, both parents have equal rights on naming the baby. In the US, if the parents cannot agree, both names are put on the birth certificate in alphabetical order. I’m not sure where OP is, but the laws seem to be different in Europe. Fun side story, my bf originally had his dads name as his first name. When his mom and dad divorced, his mom had his name legally changed. She couldn’t stand to call him by her ex husbands name. Good for her, she’s a woman you don’t want to…
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/03/22 03:13 PM

I can’t believe that he said “good riddance” to his wife recovering from child birth. WHAT. I would tell the hospital staff he is not allowed in. I’m sure they deal with alot of drama between parents.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/03/22 03:07 PM
244

Exactly. And her thought process is completely correct. She doesn’t want her son to be living in the shadow of a dead person. Her parents in law are looking at this baby as a do over and that’s completely f***ed.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/03/22 03:05 PM

RIGHT! I’m like ummmm if you work during the week you have to do adult stuff on the weekend. It’s just how it works. Saturdays I clean, do returns and errands blah blah blah. It’s just the stuff I have to do to keep my life running!

I don’t want a man I have to push to make 5 year plans. We both should bring goals an aspirations to the table and I couldn’t imagine being with someone who didn’t do that and whined when you tried to help them be a better person.

My bf took what most people would consider a really long time to say I love you, but for me because I had a lot of trauma, it was a good thing. I still had a mild panic attack when he said it the first time. But looking back now I’m so glad he’s a “took too long” than “said it too fast”.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/03/22 01:26 AM

A girl I work with suddenly disappeared and I asked what happened to her. Turns out her bf of 7 years “kicked her out” and she had no where in the area to live so she had to leave her job and go back home to live with her parents. It sucks because atleast with a remote option she could have kept her job. I didn’t have her number but I wish I could tell her that her ex is an ass hat.

I can’t tell you how many of my friends have told me they just married their husband to check off the box of getting married, that they got along with or had bigger sparks with others. I literally couldn’t imagine a worse life. I’m way too blunt.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/03/22 12:35 AM

This reminds me of in high schools how make teams will have a few girls serve as team “managers”. They basically get delegated the feminine tasks like setting up the snacks, collecting the laundry, keeping attendance records. They start them young.

I was on a competitive figure skating team in college and when people would ask me why I didn’t join a sorority I was like why would I? I already hang out with a group of girls 20 hours a week with a common goal. And it’s hella expensive!

I had a friend once too force me to give my number to a dude working at a kids park. I was so embarrassed. Blames his complete lack of participation in anything on having a social anxiety disorder. She even prepped me before meeting him for the first time…telling me he might be awkward. Nope. Goddamn this is so true!! When I worked in a professional work place I spent so much on clothes and I remember looking at guys being jealous they could rotate the same 5 shirt and tie and pants combo every week. Now I have a job where I wear jeans and a tshirt and have blue hair and no one gives a sh*t as long as I get my job done. It’s glorious.

Oh yea. The male principal of the Hs in that district was literally the worst person I’ve ever worked with in education. He was a teacher for 2 years before becoming an admin. He would NEVER meet with me one on one, he would always call one of the male vps to be in the meeting to agree with him so it was two against one. One of the worst situations with him is he wanted to put too many students to be safe in cooking classes because they were popular. I told him I ethically could not agree to tha…

I used to be a public school administrator and it was an absolute joke how much better men were treated than women. We would be in meetings and I would throw an idea out there and then a man would say my idea 10 mins later and everyone would think he was a genius. Our whole jobs revolves around putting out fires, but if I suggested a way to make sure the fire didn’t start in the first place, I was ignored. I don’t get this mentality either. Where guys think any kind of grooming is “feminine”. I teach college fashion and I have a few guys and when we do the unit on makeup/body cleansing ect I always tell them moisturizer with sunscreen is their best friend!!! I also tell them that smelling good is really important to not only interpersonal relationships but networking too. My bf works for an elementary school as a computer technician which means his colleagues are like 95% women and he said the amount of women who complain about their husbands and relationships was unbelievably sobering. It made him hyper aware of the things that piss women off and makes him check in with how we’re doing even more than he already did. His stories are sad. I feel like we’re reading it at that “home” equals partnership with a man. At home I’m a dog and cat mom, I’m an artist, I’m a derby player and I’m a girlfriend. Being a gf is a very small part of that equation. /r/FemaleDatingStrategy25/01/22 10:40 PM

So the “you need to spend x months salary” on a ring is a marketing campaign by debeers. I teach college fashion and it’s literally one of the most successful campaigns in history, it went from one month to two months to three months and increased diamond sales by 80%. There is also a lot of inventory hold back to drive up the cost of diamonds, they are actually not very rare. And a lab made diamond is chemically identical to a mined diamond. With that being said, if a woman wants a diamond for …

I was curious as to their ages, I don’t think it was mentioned. There’s a big difference if they have been dating since 16 and are now 23 still living at home (that would be understandable) vs in their 30s.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy25/01/22 04:02 PM

Whaaaatttt!? This was a flip of a story but this jeweler said he sold a man a 3ct diamond to propose (so your talking like a 50k ring) and a week later he brought it back because she originally said yes, then changed her mind. Turns out she swapped out the stone not thinking he could bring the ring back and tried to sell it. Not sure if he ever got the stone back or if there was legal action or anything but the jeweler overall just felt bad for the guy that he got screwed over.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy25/01/22 04:00 PM

There was a thread of stories from jewelers where the woman will bring her ring into be fixed/cleaned/whatevered and find out what she thought was a diamond was a cubic zirconia.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy25/01/22 02:45 PM
21

Omg yes 100%. I teach college fashion and I know the only reason diamonds are important is because of a marketing campaign. Even if he doesn’t get her a diamond, I still don’t think $7500 is that much for a piece of fine jewelry that symbolizes a life long commitment.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy25/01/22 11:43 AM

I don’t think so either. I work in education (people with salaries ranging from 50-80k) and 7 to 10k seems to be the range. I thought the majority of the comments would say $7500 is a fairly average cost for an engagement ring but holy moly was I wrong on that one. There were so many comments from women saying their ring was $20 to $100 and that it’s so stupid to waste money on a ring. I feel like that just cognitive dissonance helping their brain survive through the fact that their husband only…

What’s going to happen is she’s going to marry him (after saying yes to a cheap ass ring) and I’m 5 years be making way more than him and he will resent her. And at that point she could buy her own damn diamond.

Exactly. Because I feel like in your 20s as a girl you are in this unspoken competition to be married. She already moved up in the race by him moving in, it’s hard to stop the momentum and be like uhhhh NO. This guy is not it.

Ok so something super weird about this post is the timeline. I went to his post history and he has been posting about this girl for atleast 6 months and each time her says “I’ve been seeing this girl for about 2 months, a little over 2 months” it’s just a bit weird. Also if you have to post about a new relationship like 7 times…something ain’t right on one of the sides (I think we know which one!)

When I started dating my bf we were having a random convo and the topic of cheating came up and I dead ass stopped and said “if you ever cheat on me, I will disappear from your life. There will be no excuses, no pleading, no crying. I will simply disappear from your life and that will be your punishment, that you will never have access to me again”.

If you go looking for it don’t feed the trolls that are under it! But basically it stated that subs like this exist because so many women have had to deal with clueless/useless/opportunist men who don’t have a clue about being an adult (like moving into an apartment costs money!). And there were a myriad of stories from women who had this happen to them and then when they moved out and took EVERYTHING their actors ex’s were equally as shocked that they really owned nothing. And then of course cu…

Right. I get the argument that some people are like “well it wasn’t fair to surprise him with a $700 bill”…sorta. As an adult you need to realize the expenses of moving. A truck alone is a few hundred. If your a girl moving on her own, you either need really good friends to help out you need to hire help for the big stuff which is another $500 (on the cheap side). I lived on my own for over a decade and furnishing an apartment, even just the basics is not cheap. I got a couch/love seat set from …

The affair partner is NEVER as good as they seem, it’s all fueled by the thrill of the secrecy and newness and chase. I saw a story online once where a woman discovered her husband was having an affair with his young secretary. The wife bought them tickets and a hotel room in Hawaii and said go have fun. While he was gone she packed all his stuff and put it in storage. When he got back from the week with the secretary he was BEGGING for his wife back because he saw who the secretary really was, …

Right. It’s all about him and his ego. She didn’t leave her husband so it’s all about why he wasn’t good enough to get her to leave. That’s the only reason he’s obsessed. If she left he would get tired of her in a few months and go running back to the wife.

There was a dude I’ve mentioned on here before that I had this rediculous on and off thing with in my 20s. I straight out refused until we were in a committed relationship. And he begged pleaded called me a tease blah blah blah, but I never caved. I don’t remember a lot from the show but I do remember one scene from the first movie (I think) where Samantha asks the group how often are you happy in their relationship and Charolette answers “everyday”. And the girls are all like flabbergasted by that answer and it’s like yes, you have a right to happiness with your partner everyday. That should not be a shocking thing or concept.

Our brain can really do a number on us. There was a dude who really messed me up in my 20s and I was a hardcore pickme for him. He was such a loser, he had a job that was never going to pay him more that 40k, his only hobby was football and beer and he was a douche. Everyone engages in some form of art. Whether it’s listening to the radio on the way in, setting up your office, or just picking a tie you like to where to work. And learning an instrument at a young age builds neuron connections that improve your ability to learn for the rest of your life. There is now an app called wisp that you can get meds for a yeast infection through for a small fee. That probably the one surgery I was prescribed plenty of pain meds because it was plastic surgery and it cost 5k. I now get a testosterone pellet to help my hormones and it’s also not covered by insurance so I pay $400 3-4 times a year for it because it’s so helpful.

Obviously not as life threatening, but there are similar issues getting woman diagnosed with adhd. Womens symptoms often manifest as perfectionism and chattiness and we get reprimanded in school for it instead of being sent to be evaluated. I just got diagnosed as an adult and I think back on all the clues from my days in school. Not at all. And unfortunately there are too many drs who focus on a specific symptom and don’t look at the whole picture. I have b12 absorption issues. I don’t know why, typically is you don’t absorb b12 you have pernicious anemia and I don’t have that. So I have had drs completely argue that I can’t be b12 deficient but numbers are still in the trash. And that can cause a myriad of unidentifiable symptoms like brain fog, tingling in the hands and toes and for me, I get the geographic tongue and…

At todays appt they wanted to double my bf’s pain meds. And they doubled them last time. He very honestly had an issue with pain pills in his 20s, so he is careful with them even today (he’s 42). I don’t think she’s wrong for voicing a need. She didn’t ask him to completely go back to work, she asked for one day. A seventh of the week. It’s their house, not just his house so she has a right to have her needs met as well and the fact that he wasn’t willing to see it from her side is very concerning. The issue is that some people really need alone time to recharge. And most couple get away time from each other at work, and that’s what she was used to. Then he was home all the time. He’s doing the victim thing where he’s doing it, but sulking around the house about it which is so much worse. What I don’t get is after almost 2 years of many of us switching to work from home, how more people aren’t encouraging some space. It’s NOT HEALTHY to be with your partner all the time. But I guess it’s the ideal situation for men who want to control their partner.

If you ever want to see that Reddit is mostly men, go to this comment section. What an absolute sht show. The few women trying to speak up for her that she deserves space are being called sexist. And the amount of people that say she can leave if she wants alone time also makes me want to scream. After being in education for a while, I would really like to study fine motor development through education. I get students who have really well developed skills and then I get students who struggle to cut a straight line. I’m just curious how much is talent/natural skill and how much is lack activities at younger ages. If anyone is interested in learning about the Diamond industry I would suggest checking out Netflix’s series called Explained. They have a great episode on diamonds (as well as many other great topics like monogomy, the female orgasm, mental health topics, plastic surgery) that talks about the cultural significance we place on the Diamond as well as some of sketchier business practices over the past 100 years. It’s only 25 mins and totally worth it!

I teach fashion history and unfortunately, the Diamond market is heavily manipulated by a few major sellers. They purposefully withhold stock to make the value seem higher, and if you try to resell a Diamond you will get no where near what you paid for it, making it a horrendous investment option. We also didn’t consider the Diamond a standard for engagement until the early 1900s (I think it’s the 20s or so but I might be wrong) although giving a ring of some kind as a sign of marriage and commi…

This is my thought process exactly. Funding social programs for low income moms should go hand and hand with this because let’s be honest, that’s who this mostly effects. But they don’t care what the heck happens to the kid after it’s born, or they would be fighting for universal health care to ensure the mom and baby are healthy.

I just started on tiktok to post silly videos of my dog. And for some reason the algorithm sent me down this rabbit hole of dating over 30, mostly from the man’s perspective. Holy sh*te…they have some complaints lol. But most of the videos center around women having baggage or commitment issues, all things that shouldn’t matter if your just looking to smash and move on correct? A feel like they all pretend to want (or live) that life to cover up the fact that no woman will put up with their crap…

This is my number one vetting tool. I sew. I started sewing when I was 8. I started making costumes when I was 12. I went to school for fashion and costume design. I worked as a hs fashion teacher, freelance costume designer and now a costume design professor at a college and have a fashion/sewing YouTube channel. I’m really f*cking good at it and very passionate about it, it’s a huge part of who I am. Every single guy I dated did the pat on the head thing and acted like “awww your little sewing…

My bf has the BEST hair. He’s 42, and has beautiful thick black curly hair with a little bit of grey to it. He grew it out during covid and it’s past his shoulders now and has gorgeous natural curl to it. And his man bun makes me crazy. There is something so primal about a man with healthy luscious hair. And his skin is lovely too. Soft and clear, caramel color. Like you said in your post, I just love to touch him.

They also have very specific areas in the country from which they recruit (atleast in the states). I’ve worked in a bunch of different school districts and in the richer, more liberal districts I barely ever saw a recruiter. In the poorer, more rural and more conservative districts, they would be there every day at lunch time talking to kids. The principal in that district would also constantly talk it up because he was in the army (and a NVM). There is definitely a certain demographic they go a…

I seriously think men invented the “crazy cat lady” trope as just another mechanism to force women into a crap relationship. I was a single crazy cat lady for more of my 20s and I enjoyed that life just fine. One dude I dated made it super clear he hated cats and expected me to get rid of them should we move in together. I of course said that wasn’t happened because they were here long before him and shocker...they have been here long after.

God nothing infuriates me more than a man who panders a woman’s career or hobby. I went to fashion school, taught high school fashion design and work freelance gigs as a theatrical costume designer. In my 20s, every guy I dated treated my sewing skills as like “awww that’s cute your little hobby”. Like no, this is my career and I’m really good at it. Now I teach college fashion and have a paid YouTube sewing channel...not so bad for my cute little hobby.

Of course they can’t be compared but it’s a good glimpse at how they handle stress and emotional situations. I got a puppy with my bf in January and it’s going well - we went to puppy kindergarten together and teared up when our little guy got to go out into the pen and play with his friends, we’re such saps.

I also wouldn’t consider the daily beast a reliable news source. As someone who has worked in a high level political (and by that definition extremely sexist and conservative) work place - the fight is constant. I get people want to sh*t on this post and point out all the issues wrong with the royal family. But I don’t think for a second she has completely autonomous control over everything that happens with the monarchy. We all have no idea what goes on behind the scenes and I have a feeling she takes power back and makes her point where she can. Some people don’t even do that much.

I don’t believe for a second she has much freedom to dictate what the monarchy does as a whole. None of us can pretend to know what goes on behind the scenes. At least she is making statements in the best way she can.

Please tell me the break up was soon after this. As cheesy as it is, I feel like for a girl one of the best perks of having a partner is not being single at a wedding. Being partnerless at a wedding can be really awkward, having to endure the “one day it will be your turn” pity comments. So to actually have a date and have them bail is like a mortal relationship sin in my book.

If your not vegan, you should be getting enough b12 from a regular diet. One of the good things about the shot (it’s just a small shot in the arm) is you start to feel better pretty quick. I need to do a shot every 2 weeks right now since my levels got so low and then once we are at a good level my dr will reduce it back to once a month or every 6 weeks. Low b12 definitely causes fatigue, brain cloudiness, shortness of breath, general feelings of malaise, and tingling in the fingers and toes. For me when I’m low I get really bad cracks at the sides of the mouth. If you get it checked, ask for the number. Most labs say above 200 is normal, but many people will have major symptoms once they fall below 400. A b12 level of between 800 and 1000 is optimal. My b12 was in the low 300s when I got it checked last year which is why the new primary kept in…

I was at work today and my bf sent me a voice memo to let me know know my usual route had traffic and to take another route. There are good dudes who actually just do nice things for their gf’s because they love them. Anyone complaining about that is just....I don’t even know.

My aunt had a bf who we all pretty much considered her husband (I called him my uncle, he called me his neice) for 20 years and they never lived together. I remember when I was younger thinking it was weird but now that I’m older I’m like holy sh*t she was on to something. And he was absolutely an HVM. When I was in 8th grade my male friend asked me out and I told them I wasn’t sure if I wanted to go out with him and I remember my uncle telling me that just because someone gave me attention, did…

I’m sorry I’m so confused about the timeline here. They have been dating for 3 years, serious enough to be planning to get married. I would assume that means they spend a very decent amount of time together. If the mother abandoned the child 4 years ago, wouldn’t the child be living with him? How did he hide a kid he was taking care of for 3 years??? Like didn’t get have toys at his house or need to get a sitter every time they went on a date? This whole story makes no sorta sense. If he can hid…

I am a professional costume designer and have measured TONS of people, guys almost always lie about their height on their resumes by adding an inch or so and girls almost always round down. If this dude was 6’ he probably had 6’ 2” in his bio and she would have seen that at the beginning, so he just made himself look crazy. I got chewed at in some other sub for saying I was attracted to tall men. I’m 5’ 10” and most guys shorter than me don’t want to date me. I was actually dumped once because the guy was uncomfortable being with a girl as tall as me. So men can f* all the way off with their anger about girls wanting a taller guy. Plus who ever is mad is absolutely short.

There is a whole other sub devoted to this but I have the same situation with my sister. She’s almost 40 and still living with my mom, constant victim, always talks of doing all these things but then has a million reasons why she can’t. Travel bachelorette parties are another pet peeve of mine. Like you don’t get to make all your friends pay for a 4 day trip to Vegas because your getting married. I think it’s really self centered to not realize just how much a wedding costs for the bridesmaids/other people close to the bride. Someone I worked with had a similar story of the guy before her husband. They were together for a really long time, like 8 years or something, and it turned out he had a whole other relationship and he was telling his family that she was obsessed with him and if he didn’t keep talking to her she would harm herself. It’s such a sappy story. I started in a school district a few years ago and was doing a training at another building and saw this really cute guy walking in and out of his office. I used to be a vice principal for a very low income school district. ALOT of the girls had boyfriends that were in their late 20s that lived in either DR or PR, with a whole other wife/gf and kids. I can’t believe this. I could never get in bed with this man again. And anyone notice it’s ALWAYS with a man that’s way older than the girl? Like 32M 24F? Gross.

My bf was also raised that he is the man, he treats. Gets him in trouble though because he’s gone to work functions and been like “let me get you a drink” to work colleagues (he works in an elementary school so it’s all women) and they will totally take it like he’s hitting on them.

Happy cake 🍰 day! My bf is a firefighter and his chief is single. He’s got his stuff together on paper, he’s 30, owns a house, is a chief which is the highest rank in a fire house, so he’s not a total mess. At a party this weekend a mutual friend said she was on the lookout for a girl for him, that he can’t seem to find a solid relationship. The dude just isn’t good looking. He’s pretty over weight and on the shorter side, like 5’ 8”. In the past year he seems to have gotten on a better diet pla…

I’ve seen that bs phrasing on profiles too - what an absolute crock. It’s the new “I can’t show my pictures for work reasons”. I would love to make one of them explain what that actually means to them but I don’t want to lose iq points.

I was editing my latest YouTube video over the past few days and I was like “damn my hair looks GREAT”. I dyed it teal April and it faded out to a really pretty mint green and my blue eyes were just poppin. I have two couples in my life that genuinely have good marriages. They are both in their 50s. They are both amazing positive women in their own right and their husbands know they are lucky. One of them has beat breast cancer twice and her husband has been by her side through it all.

I feel like I have noticed far more male “compliments” since I got a dog. I take him to the park and I get a lot of dudes who see it as an in...like “oh man what a cool dog, oh wow you’ve got really cool hair too!” And then try to chat me up. Here’s a fun fact, I’m trying to train my puppy. I don’t need you coming up and interrupting that! I actually bought my puppy a vest that says “in training” to stop people from coming up to pet him.

I feel like when guys hear “hit the gym” they immediately think “oh girls only want a chad with 6 pack abs” and that’s not the case at all. Working out is good for your brain, which is good for your mood. It generally makes you happier. Sweating is usually good for you your skin, it gives you a glow and gives you more energy. So overall, you don’t have to be super fit but taking care of yourself by working out regularly is very sexy.

They had all been friends for a while and I had been introduced to the group a few years prior since I had just moved to the state. Honestly they did me a favor, I was young and didn’t have great boundaries then and now that I’m older and look back it was absolutely for the better!
