Myers-Briggs personality type. It's just zodiac but for men. Both rely on the Forer/Barnum effect. MBTI is 100% pseudoscience and any man who has his type in his bio is a fake intellectual who will try to mansplain string theory to you because he saw "Cosmos" 10 years ago. I'm in STEM and I'm a skeptic so that one makes my eyes roll the most. It's a glaring red flag that he's an obnoxious mansplainer.

The small business thing makes no sense at all. Setting up a business with no plan or purpose? Huh? I'm convinced he suggested it because it would give him financial control over her. He'd be the investor and owner and she'd be an employee.

I thought the same thing. The kids are off to college and now it's just the two of them in the house and she has time to focus on herself. She's 100% dumping his ass.

She has held various low-paying, "do-good"-type positions in the community. This one stood out to me. She takes care of the kids, the household, AND is active in the local community and is willing to spend her time and accept low compensation so she can have a hand in improving the community. She sounds amazing. And this bit: There are a lot of successful women doing it all. No woman is able to "do it all" without sacrificing their health. The women who have children and a thriving career (and t…

My first boyfriend (20 years ago) was also like this. He lied about the most trivial and weird things, like being a national dance champion in a certain dance style. There was no context for the lie; I didn't ask, it wasn't a topic, I wasn't into dancing and I wasn't into the music. I realised how much he lied when he told me that his uncle made the Argonath statues in the Lord of the rings movies. A) That's an insane claim, B) I didn't ask, C) Those were CGI. In my country we don't even hyphenate the surnames. It's common to have two surnames, like "Alexis Johnson Osborne". Each person adds the other persons surname. The only thing you have to decide upon is which order they go and usually you just choose whatever sounds best/not worst. Like "Berry Hill" rather than than "Hill Berry"

I would be so pissed off if my boyfriend used my microfiber towel for his dick and balls and even more pissed off if he would unpack it like some control freak who never listens. The sunscreen thing is so real though. Women usually have a good skincare routine whilst men wash their face with the same soap they use for their hair and dick and balls. In their 20s they have pimples and in their 30s they look haggard

A really big obstacle for younger women these days is the god damn porn and sexposi/kinkposi bullshit. I have noticed first hand how absolutely depraved men in their 20s are and how it's so obvious that it's influenced by porn. Men my age didn't grow up with porn. It wasn't one click away; it was three hours of downloading something that might be a virus - and the porn wasn't as violent as it is now. As a result a lot of men my age aren't pornsick degenerates. Some are, of course, but they haven…

I'm mid-30s and the one thing I need younger women to accept and understand is that there is no "wall". Not for women, anyway. I look amazing and I have men 10 years younger than me trying to court me. But I don't want to date them because men in their 20s are dumbasses. When you hit 30 and you realise that "the wall" is a lie 50% of your insecurities will magically disappear. You also begin to realise how dumb men in their early-mid 20s are and stop caring about their opinion. Your dating stand…

Yeah safewords are a precaution for extreme situations, because you're supposed to know and respect the other person's boundaries. In my 10 years in the scene I only used my safeword twice. Once when I was hanging upside down on a wheel (like the carnival wheels) and once when I had a PTSD flashback. From what she wrote it sounds like he consistently ignores her boundaries and she also said she's afraid to upset him by saying the cuffs are too tight (and that she doesn't enjoy cuffs at all). She…

You have to be okay with being single. It's the only way to come from any position of power So much this. I love being single; I have no need for a romantic relationship at all. And that gives me so much power and has changed my attitude towards men and dating completely. Because I don't need a relationship I have no problems setting boundaries and having high standards and leaving at the first sign of disrespect.

You actually sound a lot like me. I snooped through your post history and I also have a neurological disorder (bipolar disorder) and an eating disorder. I also grew up with abuse and never received any love from men, only abuse, which led me to develop C-PTSD and borderline personality disorder. Are you scared of being on your own or scared of not receiving any external validation? Being so terrified of being on your own is a huge sign of codependency and maybe even borderline. You desperately need to go to therapy. I didn't find peace with myself until I stopped being afraid of not being loved and now I'm thriving.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/11/21 09:39 AM

You should not be with a man just because he hasn't dumped you. Accepting your disabilities is not "treating you well". You've typed out a lot of his negative qualities and I hope by doing so you're starting to accept that staying in this relationship is a terrible idea.

What's so terrible about being alone? Being alone doesn't mean you're lonely. If you're in a relationship because you're afraid you will be alone, what you need to do is exit that relationship and go to therapy. I came out of a long term abusive relationship five years ago and I was so damaged and in desperate need of external validation. I went to therapy and found FDS and I'm in such an amazing place mentally now. I'm in my mid 30s and I love being single and "alone". I'm going on fantastic da…

I don't go home with anybody so that's why I accept drink dates but like I said I expect dinner to be involved at some point, either before or after. Preferably before. I'm in my mid 30s now and thriving as a single woman. We're told our entire lives that we hit a wall at 30 and that our lives are meaningless without a husband and children. It's all just lies. Men know that single and childfree women in their 30s are confident and independent, and most likely earn quite a bit of money. They know that they have to reel us in while we're still insecure and not so well off financially, because at a certain point single women start to thrive and we realise that we …

I'm also bi and reminding myself of this was a great way for me to rid myself of my remaining pickme-thoughts. If I was properly interested in a woman I would treat her like an absolute queen. I CANNOT imagine asking a woman out on a coffee "date". I have spent way too much money on girlfriends because I wanted to. Randomly send them flowers, remember small details so I can buy them really nice gifts, and taking them to things they like even if it's not my cup of tea. And for heterosexual women:…

I wish I could upvote this a thousand times. Why date a man who expects sex? Or expects anything at all in return? I don't even kiss until I've decided that I want to commit monogamously and I don't date men who try to kiss me early on, because it's an indication that they see it as transactional.

I used to think that a man checking all of those boxes for a date was a pipe dream but on friday I had a date exactly like that. He continuously refilled my glass of water and my glass of sake without me even registering that it was getting empty, and it was such a small but incredibly significant gesture.

The women defending coffee dates need to listen to the podcast episode "Walk dates are for dogs" at least 10 times. I'm NOT about spending 1-2 hours getting dolled up just so a scrote can spend $3 on me. Low investment = low reward. I'm showing up in jeans and a hoodie with no makeup. And I refuse to lower myself like that and therefore I refuse coffee "dates". Having a coffee is what you do with friends; not with a potential romantic partner. A HVM will not expect sex if you go to dinner. If a …

The only positive thing about a man disclosing early on that he goes to therapy is that it gives us a powerful vetting tool, because we can analyse his behaviour based on that information.

Disclosing mental health problems also hands them a tool they can use to gaslight you. How many women with neurological disorders or trauma responses like borderline get told by their boyfriend or husband that they're "acting crazy" or "that's your [disorder] talking"? To me personally, disclosing a disorder is not necessary when you're functioning. Feeling a need to disclose it indicates to me that it's not under control, and if that's the case then you shouldn't be dating. Borderline is curabl…

Edit: this is after meeting. I don't do OLD I'm a busy career oriented woman and I still find time to reply to texts. Easy. It takes five seconds to reply. You have time on your lunch break, during your daily BM, while waiting for the coffee to brew, and when you're brushing your teeth. There are dozens of little moments like that in a day. So I expect a reply within 24 hours. Anything more than that means they're not interested. 36 hours if they're out of town because that means they're surroun…

What the guests said about masking resonated with me so much. I always end up copying people's speech, even going as far as mimicing accents. And being social, although I love it, always exhausts me. I've spoken to therapists about it and I couldn't give them a good reason for why I'm exhausted. But I've told them that it feels like that I put on a character when I'm social, and when I'm alone I can truly be me. Funny how mowing the lawn is men's work, but gardening - which is actually DIFFICULT and time consuming - is woman's work. When I moved into my exs house (i know) he had literally done nothing with the garden. I spent hooooooours on my knees weeding and turning the soil and planting seeds and tending to the flowers. He would mow the lawn maybe 3 times per year and I would need to help him by holding the cable. I dare a man to tend to roses.

He would need a maid, a cook, a secretary, and a therapist. My ex also pulled the "but I mow the lawn and shovel the driveway" nonsense. Like, bruh that's what? 6 times per year? I could pay a neighbour kid to do that work. I dare you to pay a child to cook you a meal, wash and iron your clothes, keep track of your appointments, and scrub your shit stains from the toilet. And comfort you when you get angry from losing in a video game.

Fellow glasses wearer here. The glasses were what offended me the most. They do NOT suit his face shape at all. Oval face and then tiny oval glasses? Wlw can attest to how "hotness" is a standard created by men. What I find attractive in a woman's aesthetic is what men would be repulsed by. Wlw generally don't dress or act according to how men think we should, and it shows. And it results in the woman having an aura of "idgaf", which men also hate. And as a side note, women are in general VASTLY more attractive than men. I thought I was a lesbian for a while because I was legitimately not attracted to any man in real life or media. Then I rea…

"The Gift of Fear" is an amazing book. The premise is so simple yet it's extremely impactful. I changed my behaviour immediately after reading it. It basically tells you to listen to your gut and your instincts, and to prioritise those over "being nice". One of the advices is to scream and draw attention to yourself. That's the logical thing to do when you're afraid, right? But we're socialised to be quiet and to not cause a ruckus, even when we're fearing for our life or when we're in an extrem…

Same here. I also can't be on hormonal birth control and have to make due with the mini pill, which isn't as safe as hormonal birth control. The brand I take has to be taken within a 3 hour window. Start spraying disinfectant on everything he touches while he's present. Like if you're both in the kitchen. He touches the fridge? Spray spray spray. Touches a knife? Spray spray. Spray his hands if he's about to touch food. Like if he's reaching for the bread, immediately spray his hands so he doesn't contaminate the bread. At first he will think you're ridiculous but he will grow tired of it after a while and might realise that it's easier to just wash his hands. If it works on cats then it c…

Sis. I have so many emotions reading this. When I got to this part: I thought he was “the one”. As months went on, he began to pull me from my friends, always accusing me of cheating on him when I was with them. I was thinking "Oh no. She dated my ex.". I was with mine for seven wholeass years. I lived with him the entire time. I became a prisoner in my own home. Your anecdote about your vacation... I'm so happy that you actually go to go! When you've been with a NVM long enough, you know how the handle the shit-splosion - the chaos and madness they stir up - I had a feeling of being in control. But in those periods of relative calm - after the temper tantrum and clean up, that uneasy feeling would settle again. I did *not* feel safe. My brain was programmed to keep me alive and scanning the environment for the next craziness. This is the phenomenon which causes victims of abuse to end up in another abusive relationship. Because c…

lmaoooooo ask those same men if they know how to cook, how to patch holes in their clothes, how to properly wash clothes, and how to properly clean? Because they know none of those things. Fucking none. And those are things their mothers (typically) would have taught them. And even if they find themselves in a situation where they need to know one of these things, their fragile brains won't let them learn it. Because they think knowing any of those things is "gay". When all the innuendos about "riding" her were introduced I shut it down. Not a coincidence that it was recommended to me by a male "feminist" (who used to be my friend) lmao. Medical abortion is basically an induced miscarriage. I had a friend who had one and what she described was absolutely horrifying. Hours in INTENSE pain, alone in a bathroom, bleeding and eventually plopping the embryo in the toilet and flushing. I'm older than her so when I had my abortion, surgical abortion was the only option. We both had no emotional qualms about our abortions, but hers was emotionally traumatising and mine wasn't. The act of FLUSHING. And being ALONE while having an induced…

Seriously, they think being single and having cats is some sort of insult. They can't seem to comprehend that we're happy with ourselves and LIKE being single. People who are happy with themselves and love their own company have no problems being alone. Being alone doesn't mean you're lonely. I would rather die alone surrounded by cats than waste my life on a LVM. And what's wrong with cats? PS. I have a theory that men dislike cats because cats are independent and don't follow orders unless the…

There's been studies done on that. Orgasm rate for heterosexual women is 61%. For lesbians it's 74%. For heterosexual men it's 100%. They're just selfish and bad at sex and rather than take responsibility they blame it on women being "complicated". I had a straight woman once tell me that she didn't understand F/F sex because "How do you know when you're done?". I don't know girl, maybe when we're both exhausted from orgasms? The fact that men's climax is seen as "completion" is so disturbing.

And THEN says his wife is a little "uppity" and "cares too much what people think". As if his wife shouldn't be absolutely disgusted and mortified to find out her husband is peeing in bottles. This is also my opinion on marriage, and I have a difficulty understanding the FDS opinion on it. I do understand the additional sense of commitment it adds but other than that I don't understand. Why is marriage the goal? I think quite a few of us are traumatised by relationships and don't really understand it. I'm traumatised so I prioritise having an easy escape route (not moving in together, not marrying)

Dating and especially falling in love turn your brain into mush. Makes it so hard to stay grounded in reality and to grow for yourself. And there is science to back this. Our brains are filled with endorphins, serotonin and most importantly: oxytocin and vasopressin. This concoction is what makes us feel what we call "love". And there is a reason why humans have created the term "honeymoon phase". Because after that is when your body stops drugging you with all of this chemicals. Because human g…

I'm supporting video games. Any form of escapism is a good choice of action, but video games requires an active participation. You're not passively reading or watching something; you're actively using your brain and body in a certain way. I find it hard to concentrate because of my PTSD, so books are out of the question. Definitely going to sort it out and donate some things! Or.. at least keep it in a donation-box until this covid thing is over (2024?)

if he could be dissuaded from pursuing me this easily, then clearly he wasn’t all in on me I need this embroidered lol. Jesus that's poignant. It's 100% true, so keep that as a mantra! Mine was all in on me as well. We were even casually talking about marriage. It's such a horrible 180. Gave me a damn whiplash. How are you holding up? Sometimes you just have to focus on hour by hour if day by day seems too much. I'm alright, just a bit of crying here and there and fighting the urge to message hi…

Thank you for all the support! ❤️ I was very much in love with him so this wasn't an easy decision and I've been crying on and off and desperately wanting to write something more to him, and checking his SOME. I check in on this thread to stop me from doing some dumb pickmeisha shit. It really helps. I have a question though: Should I throw out all the stuff he gave me? Some of the things are fairly expensive and things I really really like (independent of him gifting me those things). I put it …

I been single and this year will be my third year. I just don't see myself wanting a relationship again. There was no gain for me. I think I'm traumatized from relationships. I was in a very abusive relationship for 7 years. This is my fifth year being single, and like you I'm traumatized from relationships. I still have nightmares about my abuser several times per week, and every night I have some trauma-related nightmare. It's difficult to heal when your brain insists on reminding you of it. I…

I dated a guy for two months. Then comes my birthday party. I had male friends at the time they later proved themselves to be NVM and misogynists but I had just moved to the city and was happy to have friends at all, especially after coming out of an abusive relationship where I wasn't allowed to have any friends. Anyway. My closest friend was male and we would call each other darling and things like that. My bf was ordinarily very social and extroverted but he completely shut down. I asked him …

I'm going through the exact same thing right now. I didn't know how good it could be. That this is what's normal. It's all basic stuff.. Being attentive, caring, takes interest in your hobbies, respecting boundaries, and basic things like paying for stuff. All things that you would also do for him. It's actually the bare minimum. Keep your guard up and keep vetting. Things can change pretty fast. This is what a healthy relationship is supposed to be like.

In the USA, don't you basically have NO rights unless you're married? You could be a stay at home gf for ten years, maybe even have children, all so your bf could focus on work - and if you split up you will get nothing? That would be my nr 1 reason for getting married early if I lived there. I wasn't married to my ex (thank god) but he would call me wife to others! Apparently that's a thing 🤷‍♀️

I was abused for seven years. I'm not getting married any time soon and when I do it will be after living together. There are no benefits in my country, it's just a declaration of love, and you can't declare that love when you don't know the person. But obviously it's different in countries where there is benefits, or rather there is a lack of protection for common law relationships. I've read the handbook, but marriage is not for me so soon into a relationship. I'm still vetting them five years…

Yeah my goal is to have my apartment and spend a lot of time together at "our" place, but that my apartment is where I actually live and I will go there and chill and focus on myself. I live in a big city and never plan on moving so a house isn't an option. Men are often insufferable when you move in together.

Pfft. I've only known female cats and they are super loving. My male cat would just be outside and fight but my female cat would come lay down next to me. They were both neutered and spayed. She's laying right next to me in the bed right now and soon i will be snuggling her. Get a female cat! And make sure you also adopt her sister!

I was in an abusive relationship for seven years so the idea of marriage and living with a man is claustrophobic and terrifying to me. But if my current bf doesn't propose within five years I will be gravely insulted. I'm fine with having a long engagement and not rushing into things but I'll be damned if I'm going to be 40 and still be someone's girlfriend. In my country being married has no legal benefits but it is a declaration of love and a celebration of that love, with friends and family. …

They live together, he calls her wife.. But he didn't have to go through the trouble of buying a ring, organising a wedding, and actually getting married. What a selfish, manipulative loser. Won't even marry his girlfriend of five years who is also the MOTHER OF HIS CHILD.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/11/20 11:51 PM

Agreeing with both of you. She's sticking around even though she has clearly communicated her wish to be married. Which means that he's winning. But if you have to put down an ultimating you know the relationship is already over. A HVM would have proposed ages ago. Or at least given her an explanation. This scrote is just stringing her along while she wastes her youth on him.

You barely know each other after that short amount of time. I know Americans rush into things. Here we live together for 5-10 years before we bother marrying. But marriage doesn't give us any extra benefits like it does in America so I guess it makes sense. I have been in two long term relationships. My longest was for 7 years. Trust me, you have no idea who this person is after only 1.5 years and especially after only living together for 10 months. Their worst sides come out after about two yea…

Is this a USA thing? (Genuine question.) Nah. I live in Scandinavia and it's common here too. But since women being 5'7- 5'8 isn't uncommon (although the average is 5'5) and the average male height is 5'10-5'11 the men wil lie and say they're 6'2 when they are clearly 5'9-5'11. The "5'11" lie is more common in other countries since on average they are shorter than us. I lived in England for a while and the average male height in england is 5'9. I'm 5'8. SO many "5'11 guys". My guy... I have eyes…

5'8 here. Very sick of men lying. I don't care if they're 5'7 or 5'11 or 6'2. Just don't lie. Or have childish complexes about their height.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/11/20 12:05 PM

Oh yeah. My mother's husband is about the same height as her so he didn't like it when she wore high heels because it would make her taller than him. (he's a HVM, he just had complexes when they first started dating)
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/11/20 12:02 PM

“5’11” guys who are definitely 5’8 lol I was just about to comment about the "5'11 guys". Every guy seems to be 5'11. I even have coworkers who claim to be 6'2. I have some 5cm platform boots, which will put me at 5'11 and suddenly I'm at eye level with them and they say "Those boots must be much higher than you say they are". My dude, you can see them. You're just not 6'2.

WHY are these piss bottles so common???? There was a post ages ago about how OP's wife found his piss bottle "collection". He was a freelancer consultant so he worked a lot from home and he had been in an online meeting with some japanese people. Rather than excusing himself to go to the bathroom (because that would be rude apparently) he grabbed a bottle and peed in it. And then he thought it was super convenient so he kept doing it. Yeah abusers will trap women physically, mentally, and financially. ALL women NEED to have one month's worth of salary saved up. It can be really tough to save that up depending on your financial situation, but it is 100% necessary. I call this "fuck you money", which my mother taught me about when I was 17.

this swine admits that he “plays the Devil’s Advocate a lot” and that he and his wife discuss these hypothetical situations “for fun” all the time Oh god. Men LOVE to "play devil's advocate" and argue about hypothetical situations. They want to create friction where there is none. They want to upset their partner. Ever notice how women don't do this? Yeah there seems to be a good core of christians and muslims. Not saying those religions would make someone alt-right, only saying that it would explain their view on "degeneracy" and "racism" towards white people and "sexism" towards men.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy23/11/20 09:58 AM

It's for BPT's "Country club members only", which have special threads. Thing is that white allies can also join after they're vetted. 🤦‍♀️ They also have a problem with fragilewhiteredditor.

Why can't they wash themselves... Why is basic hygiene so difficult for them?! Thankfully everyone in the comments reacted to the sexual assault and were telling op that the reason they keep getting infections is because of this scrote's inability to wash himself 🤮

Other than degenerate porn and animal abuse subreddits they're mostly concerned with "anti white" subreddits, which is apparently blackpeopletwitter and justbeasian. They're mad that they can't post on bpt. They also compared the new black panthers to kkk.

They do wash their hair with body wash! I've seen it! My ex also washed his face with it and then wondered why he got pimples. Then proceeded to use my VERY expensive skincare products in a panic, whilst I was trying to explain to him that's not how it works. They're literally incapable of basic hygiene.. As soon as their mothers stopped bathing them it all went downhill.
