I wouldn't go that far.

We are currently a fringe group, nothing more. Anybody that speaks out against the status quo, whether right or wrong, receive the same deluge of criticism and vitriol, sometimes warranted and sometimes not.

Groupthink is really powerful.

I see a lot of my male friends on Facebook posting that "I'm not an MRA but..." which just reminds me a lot of what Richard Dawkins had to say about "I'm an atheist but..."

I mean the complaints are valid. People see the inconsistencies rather plainly. I understand the mind set, I wish I could speak to it differently but I had to come from a deeply religious background to an new and atheist mindset. That is of course to say that not all MRAs are atheists. It's just my personal analogy. When I was exploring nonbelief I was rebelling against religion... I was against my parents. It now seems that if I don't see things the way feminists see them, then I am essentially against women or feminism and that is basically my major point.

It seems to me now that if both men and women can find atheism after religion it should be perfectly reasonable to find egalitarianism in both life struggles that is the difference between male and female issues.

That.. is what we are really up against.

The average reasonable person of any sex or gender can clearly see some of the truths in our complaints. That is what makes us "Radical."

This is true. Although I don't much like the term Rebel, it has too much self-conscious hipster about it. I hope nobody ever joins the MRM because they want to be a rebel. Still, I guess they probably will at the same time that it becomes widely accepted. I think most SJW types see themselves as rebels.

That's why they don't do it much if you haven't noticed. Men's Rights isn't feminism and it's never going to go where that movement did because men aren't going to adopt the requisite victim mentality that made it work. At best you might get respect and appreciation for men back to where it was after people finally feel confident enough to tell feminists to shut up with their man hating.

i would say MGTOW are rebels of a sort. people who sit behind a computer and type their opinions however good they are like i am doing now is not a rebel. now if i started to actually do something like help start a peaceful demonstration for mens rights, or something like that, then maybe you could say that is rebellious against the current culture.

its just not the same though as we understand wars or struggles. nothing like this has every happened in history (that we know of) on this scale. feminism and white knight mentality has created a massive hate movement against boys and men, masculinity. the struggles men face so few seem to care and it shows just how cold hearted and wicked humans are to men, including men.

will that ever change? i predict not. i predict there will be some progress towards mens rights but men dont fight for themselves enough, people including most men just dont care about mens rights or health compared with women.

history always repeats itself. the only thing that will change our culture is a massive war that effectively shuts feminism into a back closet because everything is fighting and struggling only the men will be sent to die as always. or we have a massive world wide crisis that shuts down the wealth and ease people enjoy today and men and women struggle to get by so men will be valued again openly, but not as much as women of course.

after 10+ years of typing about mens rights, reading all i have read , seeing how things develop and knowing about history like it do.... men will always get the short end of the stick , MRM may get men some rights but dont expect much, dont expect feminism to die ever so long as men are lustful for women, white knights hold power and men have no way to reproduce on their own. just sayin.

Equal Justice has always been a rebel group.

The tribalistic us vs. them dichotomy that has always been used to give people power over others. Feminism and its predations on us men as a group is just another such measure. This social justice crusade facing off against us is merely status quo politics. People build privilege into their protected groups the other groups expense. Men happen to be paying the price for feminist established privileges.

That being said I found out about men's rights as a movement from negative coverage. I read about it a little and decided it was for me. Any press is good press when people don't know you exist. I hope this becomes a mainstream movement.

We're not rebels but we are underdogs. This reminds me of new atheism in the fact that everyone was against us, despite facts, evidence and science being on our side. We still were told to shut up, be quiet and don't rock the boat. Other people were dealing with the issue and everything would be alright if we loud mouths would just get in line and be silent. Fuck that and shout from the rooftops, hell when ever I take on a cause that is true and just I feel a fire in my belly and the years just melt away. Give them fucking hell, no retreat, no surrender.
