It is Bennett, Coleman and Co. Ltd. who owns TOI. Their way of working have earned them the title 'toilet paper of India.'.

They also owns mensxp.com which is blocked by Department of Telecommunications.

They are almost like dailymail of India and will go to any extend just to make money. Most of the their homes pages are full of pictures of women without clothes from all over the world.

I like this subreddit a lot and I agree with most of what I read on here but almost never on anything about India. True, there are lots of things in India that seem to privilege women (special seating in subways etc) but it's not without reason.

There has been a huge rise in male-on-female rape the last years, a lot committed against tourists. India is not like the western world, it wasn't long ago when women did not receive an education and many are married off against their will today. The difference between India and the western world is that women are oppressed in a way they simply are not in the western world.

Too be fair, they do have kind of a crisis when it comes to how a lot of men treat women there. I can see where this ad is coming from.

I agree - men should be graded on how well they can pimp slap women and put them back in line.

Allowing them to speak in public or even look up is intolerable. The only way to show a woman respect is to guide her to understanding her place. Man up gentlemen!

Gotta love the blame and shame game that's only ok towards men. I'd love to see an opposite ad that tells women not to dress "like whores" and show some self-respect as well as treat all men with dignity (especially the untouchables). Think they'll publish that one?
