1.) This is excellant work. If there were a way to 'sticky' this thread so that it stayed at the top of the subreddit, I'd ask for someone to do precisely that.

2.) Any hardcore feminist will dismiss everything there because empirical information and scientific study is just another form of 'mansplaining' and the feminist knows 'in her vagina' that all men are evil oppressive potential rapists.

3.) And I truly wish my #2 was a joke ... but we all know it isn't.

I've known women who are abusive in their relationships but immediately become the victim any time it's brought up. I don't get why some people feel the need to act like that. The last guy I lived with had a girlfriend like that. Any time they'd get in a disagreement over anything, she would start punching him until he gave in. And if he ever said anything about it? She'd instantly start crying and claiming he was manipulating her.

Thankfully, they moved away. It was hard dealing with her.

I brought this up with a feminist and she mentioned right away that men tend to be more physically damaging to woman then woman are to men despite this. She said this is because men are typically bigger then woman. Does anybody know if this is valid?

Thank you for the post. A great resource for people. A few men and women have tried to publicly speak the truth on this matter and have been met with a campaign of terror (people sending death threats, bomb threats, damaging property, going after people's jobs, etc..). Women (especially of the feminist variety) do not want this to be publicly discussed.

I saw a ManWomanMyth video the other day on YouTube where some program did a brief story on male victims of domestic violence. Even here, they made all kinds of qualifying statements at the beginning of the program and put up pictures (showing injuries) of female victims of domestic violence during the show THAT WAS ON MALE VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. Still, the fact that men were discussed at all is a bread crumb not given in the past.

I've said this elsewhere, but the problem is always going to be that so many more women are killed or seriously injured by men.

My view is that it all depends what you call 'abuse' or 'violence'. Too often, women simply have available to them other tools and methods of subjecting men to appalling abuse, during divorce and separation especially, and it's state-sanctioned and accepted. It's not even seen as abuse.
